Capitec should sort out the banking app, I bought electricity once only to receive 2 tokens and charged twice. Then after contacting Capitec I was informed that they are not able to reverse it even though it is the Capitec app that caused the problem. Capitec ur banking app is a mess!! I was informed by an agent to contact the municipality, but to make matters even worse now I am able to log into the Capitec app but when trying to view the tokens that the app purchased twice on my behalf it just freezes and I cant get the token numbers to try and sort out the mess the app caused. The only thing Capitec says is "Sorry for the inconvenience" , but you know what other debit orders don't understand that the Capitec app malfunctioned and there is not enough money now. Why am I the one to sort out the mess the app caused???

I am not happy because most ATM'S outside the branch do not have a deposit option and it's hard to deposit if the branch or the shopping malls are closed because we only access the depositing machines at the branch or atm inside a mall. It's a hustle to deposit especially in the evening.

Capitec did not make me happy at all On the 3rd of October I emailed the Forensic dep for Fraud at Capitec to inform them of scam payment made and to reverse the payments. I got an incident nr only to find out a day later that this so called incident nr does not exist. They only gave me another incident nr on the 10th. I have emails to prove this. I opened criminal case at Police as requested. To date I have not received ANY feedback from Capitec and want to know WHY was I given an incident nr that never existed. I have proof of that on email.

I’m so annoyed with this bank. I transferred money to wrong person and I called immediately, and they said they can’t help me because I am the one who transferred the money. After that they keep on the line to contact the person and come back to me to say, oh we can’t reverse the payment because it’s his account. Not continuing with this bank and I suggest people watch out for their money cz this bank has no interest in its clients. Very much annoyed

I reported a fraud incident 30 mintutes after a made the deposit. I was told by the consultant that I can only open a case if the money is still available. Whilst holding on the line , the consultant called the third party bank to advise them of the incident. I was told that the money is available and the account has been frozen. 3 Months later I was advised that the money has been withdrawn within a period of two days. How is this possible if I reported 30minutes after the incident? Absolutely dismal service.I am going to escalate this matter.

Charges interest on a R0 amount. Highway robbery. Looking for ways to overcharge customers. Goodbye Capitec, will never use your useless bank again!!!!

Last night (22/09/23) my husband tried to deposit money to me and the atm swallowed the money…the next day he went into the bank for assistance ….an ATM dispute was lodged at 10:39am and was told an investigation was going to take place…then at 12:29 to my surprise the money was in my account. Thank you Capitec, truly speaking I was not expecting them to be this fast because I always see people’s reviews about their investigations going nowhere.

CAPITEC steals your money, inside job! account cleared of all funds and closed despite stating that they detected fraud. The fraud investigation took too long and the funds were not recovered despite knowing that they had gone to Nedbank. Then state we are not insured.... what bank allows fraud and then states they are not liable. What sort of bank allows funds to be removed and account closed without your authority.... your a disgrace.

Tryed to open a business account with capitec,went in to the branch and they could not assist me,had to work through a call centre.Struggled for 2 weeks and still nothing.So i went to FNB,20 min in the branch and everything was done with great service.Capitec should step up and improve their client service

Good day How do you expect people to trust a bank that is not able to prevent theft from accounts then denies that it is possible instead of trying to find the solution????? A large amount of money was stolen from us. Someone seemed to have hacked our account and stole R11 000 from us. We phoned yesterday and was told that if the money is availble in the other account we could maybe get it back after 60 days. When I phoned again today I was told that the insident was never logged and it is impossible for someone to steal the money that way. Capitec refuses to fix their gaps in security and blames the consumer for the problem

My name is Katlego and I've been a client for over 10 years now. It's been a week since I've been waiting for someone to call me back regarding my application for a POS machine. I made several applications online last week 28th August and yet nobody called me back. I called 2 days ago and received the following reference number Ref 110120713. I've also attached the first online response I got as a screenshot. I am in urgent need of this service and I was counting on a speedy service form your side and I've been sadly disappointed. My bank has become way too big and busy to assist me.

If i could give Capitec a 0, I would. I have paid off my credit card, only to be told there is an additional amount i need to pay. How can u charge me interest on a 0 balance? Never again will I use capitec!!!

I have not been able to access my app since April 2021. Been to the branch several times, without any joy. Now, when I am trying to sort out a payment that has been stuck, the agent cannot assist me, due to this. As I do not use the app, I cannot receive the code. I am done with incompetence. Will be moving to another bank that is able to helo and understand what my problem is. Since being a Capitec Client, I have not once had a positive experience.

My bank account was be hack. Transaction was done and I didn't do it. Between the consultant manager and head office people I have received my money back. Thanks Capitec branch in East Rand Mall Boksburg.

For 3 months my wife and myself have sent in circles with a problem with the internet banking Seven years ago my son and his wife had the problem , the moment the banking app is upgraded. your account can not be entered as your finger prints have to be used . If you are out of South Africa how do you get your account reactivated. Seven years ago The C.E.O of Capitec Bank sent two token generaters for my son and his wife through myself and my wife . We had these sent to my son and is working 100%. My wife and myself have been sent around in circles for 3 months and today I found out that Capitec Bank wants to stop the token generaters with out notifying the client's. Both of us can not make payments on the Internet Banking being blocked to make payments every things work up to making payments then the message is Internet Banking server error, the people working in the branches try to help are also put on hold 45+minutes. The Capitec Customer Care, Capitec help desk and complaints department do not help stating that the I .T department would fix the problem but to no avail. You are put on hold for long periods waiting for them to sort out the problem. Siyasanga Blayl , of the Complaint Management officer can not help .She stated that the problem is by us. She was phoning an incorrect cell phone number. We have requested that the C.E.O of Capitec Bank contact us but are told that they do not know how to contact him . This a very poor reflection of Capitec Bank

I am only giving 1 star as there is no option for 0 I have been with Capitec Bank for close to 10 years, I work at good company and earn a good salary which comes into my Capitec account each month. I have been trying to apply for a R80 000 loan or credit card for the past MONTH and I keep getting rejected, No one calls to let me know the reason why, I call Capitec everyday to follow up and keep getting told that someone will call me, or I keep getting transferred to different department's. It seems like no one at Capitec knows what is going on and how to do their jobs I have had the worst experience with this bank and I will be moving to another bank that can actually help their customers and provide guidance when needed The customer service is horrible , people are rude and DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DO THEIR JOBS!

Capitec Empangeni branch have majority of rude staff who cannot even greet as you enter. My card was stuck in the machine at 7:30am and I was told no one could assist me. When I asked for the manager I was told to wait fir G4S services. My helpdesk number 10 assistant "Sisie" quickly called the next customer without assisting me. 2 August 2023 The host has been the only person at the branch that showed sympathy towards my situation this morning. But I am very disgusted in the service at this branch, they just do not care about their customers. We are treated like sheep or the next customer is a goat on a livestock farm.
