My account was blocked on Wednesday incident#**********35. I went to the bank only to be told that there was *****ulent money transferred into my bank account OK granted I adhered to all their demands where I needed to submit certified documents confirming that the money that came into my account was as a result of the car i sold. The issue is I now have to follow up with the bank regarding the status of my account, which has been unfruitful and had to deal with *********** employees at the branch in Protea Glen, only today I had a Lungi who took the initiative to call the forensic department to find out what could be the delay in their feedback seeing that all docs are submitted. They told her. PLEASE LISTEN TO THIS! "they are waiting for documents from the VICTIM meaning the dealership to also send their documents. My question was if they don't send these documents then what? At this point I have 3days without money, I cannot access my salary, my debit order can't go through. Who is going to pay for all these penalties? Who is going to refund me for the time I have wasted skipping work to do affidavits and certifying documents? Who will reinstate me at my job if I lose my job because of the time I'm beginning to take off from ,work unnecessarily. Why didn't capitec detact this *****ulent money before it came into my account? At this point I would like to move all my funds from this **** of a bank and by the way the dealership you are saying sent *****ulent funds is waiting for a letter confirming these allegations as this is defamation their business let's see how far you get with that. A case has been opened so far with the dealer and I will definitely get my lawyers to take up with the *********** forensic department but as for me I'm taking my money somewhere else.

Capitac bank its a nightmare they have too much hidden charges and if you go to ask about it oh god!! They know how to lie about it. WORSE BANK EVER!!!

We want to open a business account for our small business. First time, no response and no contact. Second time got the account registered now the bank states we have to put 700,00 in the account to activate it. Went to the bank, 15/03/2024 and was told that the systems were off and that they would call me. Still haven't received a call and we explained that we don't want to re-register. We don't want another account number, we want to keep the one from the registration. What bad customer service is this? No call backs, no emails, no feedback. Sick and tired of bad customer service. Must I take my business somewhere else?

Capitec is not a bank its runs their operations like tuck shops mxm Piet Retief branch I'm so disappointed 😞

I deposited R10 000 in cash at a Capitec ATM inside the branch at the Glen Shopping Centre (Cnr Orpen Rd &, Letaba Rd, Oakdene ) on the 17 November 2022. After depositing the cash the ATM switched off and took my R10 000. I have made numerous visits to the Capitec branch, and numerous calls to Capitec Bank to report my incident. In response, I have only been given reference numbers and Capitec Bank refused me my money back. This whole incident took place in full view of Capitec's Bank cameras, which are situated directly above the ATM. I have spoke with consultants, branch managers and regional managers to help me with this situation. After 3 months of given the run around they have refused to pay my R10 000 back. WARNING TO ALL CAPITEC CLIENTS - If you are to make cash deposits at a CAPITEC ATM,  THERE IS NO GUARANTEE your money will reflect into your account and be prepared to deal with very unprofessional staff at the Capitec Bank.

I've been using Capitec almost 10 year's and I've been hearing stories about Fraudulent activities. There's a stop on my account and I can't access the money on my account. I've received an email stating that my account was involved in fraudulent activities and there's money money transferd into my account and is suspected to fraud. I was instructed to go and and make a affidavit explain what happened. Well I've explained everything and and I also confessed that I am aware of the transactions made on my account, I know the source and I even provided with the proof of payment. But still there's a stop on my account. The was an outstanding balance on my account (retirement fund/tax returns and other income from my beneficiaries). I can't access that too. Again they want proof of payment. I submitted whatever what I can remember but still they told me that my documents are old. I am a victim here and I want justice. I followed all their instructions but still no progress. Capitec is not a safe bank, the services are very poor including their stuff members. I'm under financial strain, I had pending payments and other debit orders I had to reverse. All want is my pending balance and warn the community about the risks of using Capitec bank account. This happens since from the 1st of October 2024. I want justice.

I will advice you to stay away from this people they will sweet mouth you and got you invest and you will not be able to withdraw thanks to MADACOVI. CO they Retrieve my funds back with the profits Stay away!!! from them..

Sent money to the wrong account, the persons phone has been off ever since and my money is still on the account. All the tell me is they can't reverse it, I must open a case against the person they can't even provide me with their details, like there's no fraud happening here I just want my money back

What ever you save on transaction cost and admin fees you will lose on Airtime when you want to query transactions etc. Turnaround time with feedback can take WEEKS. Rather bank with more professional banks.

The service at the branches is good but limited. The response from the Client Care is consistently bad, unfriendly and useless. The agents are arrogant bossy and couldn't care at all about the client or their problem. The systems are pathetic and they say it can't be change. A new IT consultant is definitely recommended. Should one ask to speak to a manager one is told they can't put you through as they do not have any manager's number. Managers all seem to build a protective wall around themselves, so they don't have to deal with complaints or do anything about improving service. They are drawing fat salaries, why look for work. A truly disgusting bank.

Good day Capitac i called capitac customer care and i spoke to mzi while i was explaining he hanged up on me and lot of unauthorized transactions are happening on my account then you find someone like mzi who doesn't care about customer complaints

ATM deposits at norwood branch never work so they can charge you more inside the bank. On the one day a week they do work the queue is so long it would take over an hour to make a deposit. Staff couldn’t care less when complaining about their lack of maintenance.

Capitec Buss, block your account, and even when they receive the Fica documents as requested, to get the account operating again takes for ages. Worst decission ever made to make use of them. The Buss section should go and learn from the normal Capitec.

I am only giving 1 star as there is no option for 0 I have been with Capitec Bank for close to 10 years, I work at good company and earn a good salary which comes into my Capitec account each month. I have been trying to apply for a R80 000 loan or credit card for the past MONTH and I keep getting rejected, No one calls to let me know the reason why, I call Capitec everyday to follow up and keep getting told that someone will call me, or I keep getting transferred to different department's. It seems like no one at Capitec knows what is going on and how to do their jobs I have had the worst experience with this bank and I will be moving to another bank that can actually help their customers and provide guidance when needed The customer service is horrible , people are rude and DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DO THEIR JOBS!

Capitec Bank is a con man.!!! They put me on a six months plan not to get loans from anywhere without my consent. The consultant said 3 months. I called today another consultant says it's 7 months not 6 months, I get transferred from dep to dep for the whole day.... let's all just move from this bank.. it's benefits from the white system, target the poor and such them dry until dead, after all they just bloody blacks right.. piece of 🗑 carcassonne......

Why bank with a bank that gives you 0 options to reverse a double payment? The just "advise" you it is a civil matter now . Truly pathetic ...changing banks as soon as posdible

You guys are horrible bank , I feel sorry for your clients .....my card was put on hold I only saw it when I went for shopping my card declined , then I went to the bank , i was told my account is on hold because the was a fradualant activity going on . So bad no one called me and told me about it , clearly you guys don't care about your clients .....then I was told to write an affidavit , they requested another one , I was ask to go to standard bank since you guys says my documents were used there , at standard bank I was told to go to my bank ......still no help my money is locked on your bank , I don't know if you are fools or what ....you can't help your own clients

Not personally me but we were standing in the que waiting for them to open,but the door was slightly up. An old man ask one of the capitec consultants to assist at the Atm ,the capitec consultant refused to assist saying it's not opened yet. He was assisted by ppl in the que waiting to withdraw. Pls even if ur not open assist go extra mile
