I was set on buying a 2008 subaru wrx but feared it was abused and not taken care of. The carfax showed me indeed it had meticulous service records and was just the opposite. Thanks carfax!

I Purchased a 2005 Corvette that showed an accident where the vehicle was considered a total loss by the insurance company. It was minor damages and the airbags did not deploy. The dealer had all of the repair documents, and all parts were new OEM. I felt confident about purchasing this vehicle due to the documentation provided by CARFAX and the dealer. I saved $10,000 over Blue Book value! It was great to negotiate from a position of knowledge about the vehicle and save a ton of cash!

I was in need of another work car and faced with a lot of hype from three car dealers. Glad I went to Carfax before I made my final decision, or I would still be looking for that "possible lemon."

Finding my dream car was a journey. Carfax helped me eliminate a half dozen choices prior to finding my one-owner Mercedes CL500. Whenever a seller said he "didn't know" about something I ran a Carfax and usually found multiple ownerships, evidence of flipping or, in one case, an accident before the car was even sold when it was new. Thanks Carfax. Lan L.

I was looking at buying a vehicle and it had been listed as not actual mileage. After a short review of the carfax, it was easy to find the typo when the vehicle had been titled at 648,000 miles shortly after a vehicle emissions inspection tagging the vehicle at just under 64,800 miles.

My car journey has been turbulent and when I decided to buy private I knew I had to invest in a CarFax subscription. Best decision I've ever made. I felt confident as a woman calling to inquire about cars knowing the vehicle history (or sometimes lack thereof). I found the exact car I was looking for and having the CarFax made my decision not only easier but I was content and confident. Thank you CarFax!

I was looking for a Subaru Outback for my son to take to college. I did a search on Autotrader and located a 2006 Outback at a Subaru dealer that was in the price range we were looking for, but had 58,000 miles on it. I ran the VIN number and was pleasantly surprised to find it was a one owner trade that had been serviced at a Subaru dealer and had received all recommended factory services and no accidents. I bought this vehicle 3 years ago, My son has put 40,000 miles on it without a problem. Well worth looking into the history on a vehicle.

I was looking for a pre-owned 2013 Cadillac ATS and Carfax help me stay away from the cars I precisely desired to avoid: former rental vehicles. Thanks to this web service, I realized that the cost to just go new was much less risky than grabbing a fleet car that could need an engine replacement 2 years down the road.

My wife and I were looking for a new car and we wanted to make sure that the dealer was giving us the whole story on the car history and any major problems. CARFAX is the first place I always go to to get the real scoop for any new or used vehicle.

Carfax helped tremendously when buying my new car. The price of the car was bare minimum, and the car was flawless. I thought something was funny about it being so cheap. After the Carfax report came in, my fears were dismissed. It was just a good deal! It was easy and very informative. I would recommend it!

Never go for buying a car without reviewing the carfax vehicle history report, first. I found a vehicle and the advertise statements looked the vehicle is what I am looking for. I went and met the dealer, he assured me of the clean title and no accident history of the car. I trusted him and paid the money, got the title and drove the car home. As soon as I got home, I checked the carfax. At the very first line I saw the red warning sign indicating that the title is salvage. I got the phone and talked to the dealer. Still, he was insisting that the car had a clean title. I got the copy of the carfax report and went to the dealership. I showed the report to the dealer and I received my money. I am so grateful to carfax with which I would have lost my money I deserved to buy a car with a clean title with. It was a good experience for me and I advise all car buyers to trust carfax report not what the dealers say.

You always have doubts regarding used cars, but had never used CARFAX. I am so glad I had CARFAX provide a complete report on the Bentley we were considering. Their comprehensive report removed all doubt. We bought the car and have been continually impressed with the quality, performance and power. B.Bryant

I made arrangements with a seller of a used 2005 toyota matrix with 115k miles to meet at a church's parking lot on a saturday morning. I repeatedly asked the seller if he could tell me the license plate number number to the car he's selling but was ignored. I arrived at the appointed spot before the seller and when he pulled up in the matrix i immediately ran the plates on my phone using carfax and to my surprise and utter disgust this car had 240k on it. Yes this was definitely fraud about to take place especially with me having the cash on hand. I confronted the seller on the mileage discrepancy and he played it as him selling the car for his son acting like he was on the phone with him then he promptly left the parking lot after i took pics of his license plates front and back. Thank you carfax for saving my money from the crooks out they in craigslist land. I eventually found the perfect car with acceptable mileage lol. Cheers, Patrick
