I think CarFax is very good. I had some issue with misunderstanding of the terms after I paid subscription but it was resolved very quick and I got clarification and bonus. It was really nice: question - quick answer with detailed explanation. I'll definitely will use CarFax in future, probably, in near future, because I need to buy another car and report is very helpful.

I used CarFax to check on the used car history. I find that it makes more comfortable knowing the background of the cars before buying or making a trip to see the car. It's easy to use and it's totally worth the money to invest when comes to car buying.

Its awesome to know a company like Carfax is out there in today's times when checking on used cars. Knowing if the car your will spend thousands of dollars on is really the car to buy - with knowing if it was really a one owner car and had no accidents or major problems! Too many con artists to have to worry about or be concerned with and that is I will always will first check with Carfax. Great job guys, Larry Marcus

Hi purchased a 94 Toyota 4 runner after searching the Car Fax online for this vehicle. I was impressed with the full history of the vehicle and how many owners as well as dealerships had it. It allowed my to inquire on the maintenance history, track and pin point the recommendations on all future repairs. I am very happy with my purchase.. Thanks Car Fax!!! Yvonne

We were meeting a potential seller to look at the ML320 we wanted to buy at a shopping center near his house. We didn't know the car ID before we met him and we able to run the CARFAX right there as we had coffee to discuss the deal. We then knew the car was clean and made the deal right on the spot. Much thanks to you for helping us buy this beauty!

Carfax's detailed vehicle history report helped us in our recent search for a hatchback. The one Nissan Versa we looked at Carfax showed it had been involved in two accidents. On the Mazda 3 we bought, it was reported as never been involved in an accident. Additionally, one can see some maintenance records listed as well. To summarize, if you are going to spend 5k or more or a car, then spending 1 percent of that on a vehicle history report just makes sense.

From previous damage of car purchasing, I decided to check my next purchase through CARFAX. It showed multiple owners (2) within a month. the second owner had it for LESS than a few weeks before it was sold at an auction. That was my red flag. I didn't go with my gut about this car and bought it anyway. I regret not listening to the CARFAX report, because now my car won't pass emissions without $800 worth of work, and my drive belt has snapped leaving me and my kids stranded without a car. (both are not working now) On top of the $800 worth of work, I now have a possible $500-$1,500 quoted bill to fix the ac compressor. CARFAX WAS RIGHT ABOUT THIS CAR AND I DIDN'T LISTEN! It was a to good to be true moment, as I needed transport right away for my kids. Thank you CARFAX for the warning.

I was looking at two 2009 Honda Accords both with apparently clean titles, one had 90K miles for $12K and the other had 54K for $9K. The second one seemed like a better deal. However, I CARFAX'd both vehicles and I found out the first one had an impeccable dealer-serviced service record! Whereas the second one was involved in an accident in another state that was wiped during interstate transfer. So, I decided to pay more for peace of mind, thanks to CARFAX!

I don't use carfax to buy! I use carfax to sell my cars. People are all scretchy these days buying used cars and wondering if they are about to buy a piece of ( lemon)! . Well when I hand people a copy of the carfax on the car in question their attitude does a full 180 , because now they hold in their hands to full history and truth of the car!! Thank you carfax for helping me sell my cars.

I used Carfax and saved $1400 off the window price of $12,900 for a used 2007 Honda Accord. I found a Honda Accord listed in the paper for $12,900 along with a VIN# so I used the VIN# to look up the car in Carfax and found out that the car had been previously damaged. The Carfax recommended the car be sold for a $1,000 less and I just mentioned using Carfax to the dealer and he knocked off $1,400. The little amount that I spent for 5 Carfaxes was well worth it! Thanks Carfax!

I was looking for a used car for two reasons, my family now has four drivers,( the kids grow up so fast), and my minivan is pushing the 200,000 mile mark and I am not sure how much longer it will last. I decided to purchase the car from an auto auction, and in the process teach my kids a life lesson. Prior to attending the auction I purchased a five report package from CarFax and we studied the auction list carefully for models and years we might be interested in. My two teenagers got the book values for those cars and we got to the auction early to inspect the cars. After weeding out the list we were down to four vehicles that we would bid on. That's when we completed the most important part of our homework. We got the CarFax for those vehicles. While all of the vehicles had fairly good reports one stood out and had a +$1400 rating over the book value of the car. We decided to concentrate on that car first and were astonished that we were able to get that car with a bid of $1800 less than the book value, knowing full well that the vehicle only had one previous owner and a +$1400 rating from CarFax. We walked out of there with a new car for our family and the children learned how to inspect used cars,(we inspected over 30 cars that day), find a good price for each vehicle and get the background needed to make a smart purchase of a used car by getting the CarFax.

After my car got totaled at work I was looking for something to zip around town in. I found several cars but was leary because I?m a girl and I know nothing about cars. Thank Goodness for Car Fax. Many of the cars I thought were a great deal turned out to be salvaged. When I finally found my new to me, preowned car I ran it through Car Fax and it showed me the owner, no accidents, all maintenance records, the millage and the high & low value of this car. Awsome! I then took it to my mechanic who gave it a clean bill of health & said I bought a Fabulous car! THANK YOU CAR FAX!

I have recently decided to move to Roatan, Honduras. A beautiful island in the West Caribbean. When I arrived on the island I started looking to buy a second hand SUV or pick up car. I did not have my expectations very high because importing a car in Honduras in addition to the high freight costs also entails paying 46% import duties. Therefore, I believed that my budget of $10,000 would severely limit the choice of cars. To my amazement there were a number of 2005 and up cars available. All within my budget. I went to see quite a few of these cars and all looked in a very good condition for their age. I was about to put a deposit on a 2004 Toyota 4Runner SR5. That same day, just before going to the dealer, I decided to run the VIN of the car through CarFax. Although, I was in Honduras I thought that it was worth it giving it a shot. To my surprise CARFAX report indicated that the car was in a severe accident and a US JUNK Title had been issued. Obviously, it was bought by the Honduran dealer, repaired and it was sold as a "normal" used car. Obviously I walked away from this "deal". In the same way I checked quite a number of cars and all had the same kind of "flaw". A US JUNK Title!!! Finally, I found a car that was for sale by an expat going back to the US. He imported the car from the USA when he first arrived in Honduras. So CARFAX saved me from buying a real "lemon" even if a was a couple of thousands miles outside the US. Thank you CARFAX.

"I had gone to a few car dealers on a "strip" in Hartford, CT and stopped into a Volvo showroom. Screaming at me in the middle of the floor was a bright red 2013 XC60 R-design. I had not planned on buying a Volvo, but its looks and the 'too-good-to-be-true' price and story behind this pre-owned were gonna require me to call on Da Fox. I summoned up my browser on my smartphone and saw a clean bill of health on the car, so I made my offer, and drove off with the car the next day! Thanks, CarFax!".

Peace of Mind?.In a nut shell this is what I received by using Carfax. I had done all of my research in looking for a safe and quality vehicle for my 16 year old daughter. She had her hopes set on a Chevy Avalanche, not your normal vehicle for a 16 year old girl, unless of course she tows a horse trailer. Through on-line websites I narrowed down the years and the models to avoid but there was still the nagging question as to the quality and history of the individual vehicle we found. I was amazed at the thoroughness of the Carfax report and happily read through years of service reports that were clearly listed in detail. I contacted one of the service center?s listed on the Carfax report and asked for clarification on a service that was listed as recently completed. The service center technician helpfully explained the extent of the service and as he remembered the vehicle, commented on its condition and quality and assured me that I was making a good purchase. Thank you for your product.
