“I ordered with express delivery, they sent a parcel which was empty. I sent it back with the courier and emailed car plates directly. I had a reply asking for the order number and ever since then I’ve been unable to get in contact with them or heard anything about my order. I’ve currently been conned out of £30+. Recommend no one ever uses them”

“Paid for the express delivery and came a week later. I email them after day 4 of placing order they said wait a day first then the next day got a email saying it will be delivered the following day so 7 days in total no offer for refund on the express delivery I paid for either.”

“scam company, ordered legal plates sent plates with no spacing, no postcode and not british standard, trustpilot reviews of 5* fake, no address on site ad, no phone number unable to return for refund, email given unable to connect, failure notice every time,terms state no refunds for any reason, illegal site, contacted consumer line to report trading standards, scabs”

“I was told I’d receive my payment for the plates I’d sold last week, then it turned to ‘early this week’ it’s Saturday and I’ve still not received payment. Dodgy website.”

“I AM NOT HAPPY WITH YOUR SERVICE, I HAVE EMAILED YOUR CUSTOMER CARE TEAM AS NO RESPONSE, I HAVE NUMBER PLATES APPARENTLY SENT BACK TO YOU AND I HAVE NOT HAD CONFIRMATION. ALONG WITH PAYING EXTRA MONEY FOR EXPRESS DELIVERY, AND ITS TAKEN ALL MY ORDERS OVER A WEEK TO DELIVER AND YOU ATTEMPT TO DELIVER TO BUSINESSES OUTSIDE BUSINESS HOURS. I WOULD LIKE TO FIND OUT WHATS HAPPENED TO THE NUMBER PLATES THAT WERE NOT DELIVERED URGENTLY.”

“This review is based on my purchasing experience. The plates I received were not legal (with the required supplier markings) because the website is set to the default option of 'custom' plates. The default should be set to the other way round so customers do not inadvertently fall foul of the law. So wasted £31 but bought new plates from another plate supplier who were very clear that their plates were DVLA compliant. Also in my experience, carplatesdirect do not answer their calls or emails, so trying to contact them is futile.”

“Plates arrived 9 days after purchase, even though I paid for express delivery. Impossible to speak to someone, didn't return any emails I sent,plates were what I wanted,but,customer service was a bismal,things only started to move when I contacted PayPal to investigate.”

“Not sure you should be asking me for a review as I'm still waiting for the plates. I paid for your express service and a week later I'm still waiting. Very disappointing especially having spent over £60 for them. I definitely won't use you again.”

“Plates arrived missing the legal information to use on uk road Network, tried calling the number on website which got nowhere tried live chat only to be informed that I HAVE MADE THE MISTAKE OF ORDERING THE WRONG PLATES as CarPlatesDirect never make mistakes. So sent 2 emails 1 to sales@carplatesdirect.com & plateorders@outlook.com never received an acknowledgment absolutely disgusted at there customer service. I rechecked as I was about to reorder again only to find I did make the selection for uk road legal plates and not there show plates which are charged at half the price I paid so all this info was included in my email, I've never had any response it's 1 company I never want to deal with and will be writing further reviews elsewhere to warn of the shambolic company CAR PLATES DIRECT”

“I am utterly apaulled by the terrible customer service, I am apaulled by the poor quality of the product, I've asked for a return address and a refund and you refused to give me this, which is in breach of trading standards, The plates that I received were illegal and you guys don't give a damn terrible company with terrible staff”
