Arranging the insurance could not have been easier or achieved more quickly. I cannot comment on the way Castle handle claims because fortunately I have not had occasion to make one. However, based on my experience with them so far, I would not hesitate to recommend them.

The only problem I had was providing proof of No-claim Bonus from my previous insurer. Castle Cover hadn't quite adjusted to the paperless way of handling this. They were helpful when I explained the situation by telephone but I still had to physically authorise my previous insurer to reveal my personal information to Castle, ie. renewal details including NCB. This seems quite crazy as Motor Insurance companies are legally permitted to share drivers' personal information with each other anyway! By the way, I was a returnee to Castle Cover. They provided my motor cover some years ago. My insurer for 2013/14 was asking for a massive hike in renewal premium at a time when motor premiums were starting to reduce significantly in cost. I hope that Castle Cover will be equally competitive at next renewal as I would be very happy to stay with them.

Found it very difficult buying car insurance for the first time online òlder people can get confused especially when two cars are involved and no claims comes into play being only allowed on one car needs to be explained better

recieved an email saying my car insurance was cancelled due to my direct debit being cancelled by me. This email was sent 2 days AFTER castle cover cancelling my insurance so I was driving around for 2 days uninsured! I phoned my bank first to make sure my account was ok. It was fine and my bank had no record of any direct debit being set up. I then phoned castle cover at 5.40. Held in a queue for 20 mins and dead on six I get the message "Sorry are offices are now closed, please call back duing the hours of ..." So in the morning I phoned them up. They said they contacted me on the 29/1 telling me of the problem. I said I received nothing. The woman on the line insisted they did. I knew she was lying as I checked the policy on the 14/2 as I needed the policy number for my meerkat toy. There was no letter on my account at the time. She then told me because my DD had been cancelled without their permission, I now have to pay for a whole year! I said why can it not be set up again? She used the same excuse. I offered a different bank account, yet again the same reply. In the end I had to not only pay the month they tried to take, but also a cancellation fee, that was not my fault, plus a whole years policy just so I could get back on the road and to work! Can safely say they will not be getting any of my money again

NO problems as of yet with castle cover ,but will be more accurate when i see what and how much the new policy is offered at.

yes, I was going to make a claim against the other party who was 100% at fault , he ran into the back of my car. but owing to the fact that there were no witnesses , it was my word against his. I decided not to claim as my compulsory & voluntary contributions came to £ 495. The estimate for the repair was £ 800 or so, so rather than risk having to pay the £495 I decided to repair it myself as I used to be a sprayer. It cost me a total of £ 51.25 to repair that's including a bumper off the internet the bumper was £20 & the paint was the rest.

Very helpful on contacting them, did what was asked and sent confirmation by post. Looking forward to receiving there Renewal for this year, hopefully, a competitive price to avoid having to search the Internet again.
