About Chilton Furniture:

Chilton is a family-owned, Maine company dedicated to selling fine, wood furniture, all American-made. We are known for our Shaker-inspired designs, and also feature Arts & Crafts, modern and cottage style pieces in solid cherry, maple, ash, walnut, and quarter-sawn oak. We are also known for the quality craftsmanship of our custom work. Many of our pieces can be custom built to your specifications.

Much of our furniture is handcrafted in small Maine workshops, and we also work with boutique craftsmen in New Hampshire, Vermont and the Midwest, many of whom have been partners for decades. All of these cabinetmakers have a Shaker-like dedication to workmanship, function, and simplicity of line and form. All of Chilton’s pieces are built to our high standards, and a growing number are original, proprietary designs.

“The book shelf is lovely and well constructed. Everyone with whom I dealt at Chilton's was helpful and competent. The two delivery men arrived on time and even put on masks when they saw I was wearing one. I have bought several pieces from Chilton's and will continue to do so. “The bed ordered is beautiful and is even better than pictured on the Chilton website. Very happy with the quality. Also, Chilton delivered the bed exactly on time -- at the very beginning of the one-hour timeframe they gave me for delivery. The two men were so very professional and helpful. It was a pleasure to deal with them.”

“Excellent experience with Chilton. I had no previous knowledge of them, but everything was top quality. Sometimes when you order something without having seen it in person, or touched the actual product, you expect it to - at most - live up to modest expectations. This is better. Terrific - will use them again when I need. Deliver company wasn't perfect. No damage, but scheduled for one day they didn't make it, and didn't contact me, so it was delayed a week in delivery. Not on Chilton.”

“I have always wanted a piece of Chilton's furniture. I have been seeing their advertisements and getting the catalog for many years now. I had a trip to Maine planned this summer and I stopped at two of the locations looking for a few purchases. I ended up leaving with two of the Mysa nightstands and the small FollowMe portable lamp.”

“I am thrilled with the quality of workmanship and beauty of the cherry wood. I ordered the Shaker Oval dining table and 2 spindle arm chairs to coordinate with 4 antique Windsor side chairs I already own. I was unable to visit the showroom and relied on pictures to make my order. I am blown away by how much better the furniture looks than in the pictures. Exquisite!”
