Christopher Ward. The Twelve Mike France - I’m reaching out to You, because You are perhaps the only one who can save Christopher Ward. I’m guessing Christopher, in 2015, left the Company in good spirits on a quest to do something different, confident in your ability to look after and develop Christopher Ward. For a mail order manufacturer, it goes without saying that The 2 paramount aspects are Quality Control and Customer Service. It’s fairly apparent that these are the 2 inadequacies you have, and will result in CW’s ultimate contraction and beyond. I’m confident you have much experience and knowledge in commerce. I am offering you end point, on the ground experience from a consumer. I now mix with folk that are at that stage where they have the resources to invest in 2 or 5 or 20 watches. The last thing they want is to get involved in a headache. And that is what Christopher Ward is now offering - products that don’t get the ‘Gordon Ramsay’ QC promised, and when a product fails, a hit and miss Customer Service experience that ranges through excellent occasionally, to incompetent often, to incommunicado. On that last point, one of the notable things you have done as CEO is to state you are available for Customers to talk to. This buys cudos for a while. However, when a customer experiences bad QC, backed up by worse CS, they might want to talk to You. If you are incommunicado, that goes to core values, and it doesn’t look good.

I bought the limited edition titanium version of the C60 Pro and I have to say that I am disappointed with the quality. The watch constantly loses time, even though I am wearing the automatic watch each day, and the ceramic bezel was so delicate and prone to scratching. Obviously you get what you pay for, and I wasn't expecting a watch at the same level as my U-Boat for example, but I have watches at half the price that have never missed a second, let alone dropping minutes...

1. On initial delivery in Dec 2014 and despite the £10 charge on a £1,200+ watch, the bracelet had not been resized; 2. It was soon apparent that the timekeeping of this particular SH21 did not meet COSC standards or my expectations. The advice from customer services to start winding, my new automatic chronometer, regularly saw no improvement, my scepticism was not misplaced! It was received back for attention on 13 March 2015 and returned to me 12 days later. It has not needed regular correction since. 3. In early 2015 the date occasionally failed to change, this increased in frequency until I returned my lovely C9 5 day automatic for attention again, receipt was acknowledged on 2 July. 10 days later I was informed the watch had to go to Switzerland for repair, an expected 8 week process. On 20 September, 10 weeks later I requested news, and was given the ETA of end October/start of November. It was despatched to me on 1 November. 17+ weeks, beginning to end, not what I expected. I so wanted the innovation to be successful and I do get pleasure from wearing a fine piece of engineering, but had I known then what I know now, would I have made a different buying decision, probably yes. I just hope my attitude changes over the next few years, I'd like to pass this on with my Dad's Roamer and my Great Uncle's Rolex.

Having spent some considerable time researching a watch, I chose a Christopher Ward watch and loved it. Sadly, this summer the dial on the watch fell apart and so I duly sent the watch back. I was asked to pay to have a new face to replace the old one. I couldn't believe that the mechanism was guaranteed but not the face. In all fairness, they agreed to just charge for the face and not labour so thought I had done quite well. However, I also wanted a replacement strap but they no longer made my watch so could not do this. I was disappointed but at least I would have my watch back. My watch was returned to me on Thursday of this week only to find tht it is not working. It supposedly was checked over a 72 hour period but I'm afraid I don't believe that. So I'll now wait to see what the response will be. I only hope that it just needs a new battery and that they have checked that it was working before they returned it to me. Poor customer service for sure. Such a shame as the watch is lovely.

I can't track my order. I haven't heard back from CW about this.

This is the third repair on my C10 v1 pilot watch in 3 years. It gets normal/light use, is not submerged or given a hard time yet keeps breaking down. Perhaps as the first generation of its type, it has some mechanical issues which CW hadn't sorted out... hence the 5 year warranty? Very frustrating.

10 plus days and have yet to receive the watch. Current tracking states only that it has arrived in LA. I assumed the International Express was 3-5 days after order processing. Am I missing something here?

I have been in possession of my watch for some 18 months and this is the second time that I have had to sent it back to you for losing time. I can understand that the watch might have been unsold for sometime first time but not this. I originally ordered one of your special offers but you ignored my order and then found that it was sold out an error on your part. Perhaps you would be good enough to give me your comments as to why I should spend so much in my opinion on a watch when I could have purchased a more reliable watch more cheaply

Delivery company DPD said they tried to deliver but no-one was in! I have CCTV to prove they never attempted to deliver. Then after arranging the re-delivery, I picked up the watch only to get it home and find it had been sized incorrectly - asked for 18cm and got 16cm. A complete waste of my time, sent the watch back for a refund - shame because the watch looks good.

Only had the watch for a month or so before it stopped and had to be sent off for a couple of months of repairs. Very disappointing.

When I retired I was presented with a Christopher Ward watch with lovely blue face I was quite chuffed ,I have found that the slim silver hands against that dial make the watch actually quite difficult to read a complete contrast to my Mondain watch which is particularly easy to read . After a couple of weeks when I picked it up in the morning I found it had stopped during the night I e mailed Christopher Ward but nobody bothered to reply ,I persevered but after it stopped for the third time i e mailed again using the web portal messenger service on the web site again nobody answered I decided I would have to try a different approach and telephoned customer service I was promised a pre paid pack to return the watch a week later I am still waiting for it ,Iwas told that the timescale before the watch is repaired will be 5 or 6 weeks possibly longer this is appalling service from start to finish .

The watch strap was very poorly packed. When I opened the package the 2 pins fell onto the floor and took me 10 minutes to find - Not impressed when I had paid £120.00

As a first time customer I had high expectations which have sadly been misplaced! Firstly it has been almost impossible to obtain an accurate delivery date for the watch I ordered and needed me as the customer to chase - there were no calls from CW keeping me informed as I would have expected. Finally I had a call last Friday (15/09) to say that my watch was scheduled for delivery into the UK late this week (w/e 22/09) and to expect receipt the following week. Low and behold I received an email notification advising the watch had been shipped and would arrive on the 19th by Royal Mail. As no one was home to sign for the watch I checked on the tracking details to find that it was being returned to Carmarthen in Wales when I live in Essex. Having flagged this with the office I was told they would get onto Royal Mail and ring me back and which never happened. I therefore called once more and was given an excuse and promised a call would be made to the RM and I would get a call straight back and I'm still waiting......,. No information, no watch and very poor customer service........

Let's be clear. The products are great. I purchased the COSC C60 Trident Day Date. The watch is a thing of beauty and feels great on the wrist. However - despite fully winding the watch twice in the first month I noticed it was losing more time than I expected. Having worn the watch every day I wasn't happy with the amount of time it seemed to be losing. Some days it was as much as 7 seconds - way outside what I expected. I contacted Christopher Ward and after several email exchanges I was sent a 'prepaid' returns envelope. Trouble is this wasn't prepaid. £12 later I had sent the watch back. I got no email from Customer Services telling me the watch had arrived until I chased them. Then they informed me that according to their tests the watch was fine and they suggested it had not been fully wound - that is nonsense. There test showed the watch was losing only 1 second. They advised they might be able to make some improvements for £30. Now if it was only losing a second I would be very happy and I don't see how they would be able to much improve on that !. I told them to send the watch back as they said I could not return it as it was not 'pristine'. I've had the watch back 10 or so days. I set the watch on Monday 7th August at 14:00 now 76 hours later the watch has lost 14 seconds. OK that may just be on or over the 4 seconds they can claim for this COSC certified watch but it is nowhere near the -1 second a day they tested at. Really unhappy about the level of customer service as this was the reason I went for this watch over other brands. I was tempted to go for the Tudor Black Bay but thought I would given CW a go. Lesson Learned. Watch is great looking - but time keeping not within my expectations. Customer Service is shocking. Paul

I am really disappointed with the products of your company. Firstly: I bought a C9 5 Day Automatic and it crashed the pedestal with friction, after 3 months of warranty the result I got was that the pedestal seemed to be polished but still there can see the friction with the naked eye. Second: I ordered a string in your company's last sale. The price is around £ 15 (I can not remember the price). When I received the wire I checked the quality was not as expected. The skin of the two small loops is peeling off, looking like cheap goods floating goods. I honestly share with you that I have used the Omega, IWC and Zenith clocks, the quality of the clocks in price with the C9, but the quality is very good and not bugs. I have attached pictures so that you can easily imagine what I said above. Watches for me is a passion, but passion must also be valuable, not get back up the discomfort when using. That is what I want to share, you can contact me by email: thu.tn@toyota.binhduong.vn. Thanks for reading.
