Very disappointed at Clocktower cars. My elderly Mother booked a taxi to take her to catch a coach for her holiday. She even checked that the booking was okay 2 days before she was due to go. On the morning no-one turned up. When she rang them they said that they didn't have anything booked for her :( Dreadful service - I would actually give no stars if it were possible!

Ordered a car online. Was told it would collect us at 23:55. When I called at 00:15, I was told I would “have to wait” and that it would be another thirty minutes. He checked my booking reference and confirmed my booking but said I would have to wait then hung up. I tried to call back but nobody answered. So I called from my husbands phone and the call was answered. I again gave them my booking reference and the man apologised and said he would inform his manager that the wait times needed to be updated on the website but that I would have to wait forty five minutes. We cancelled the cab and ordered from another company. We won’t even bother trying to use Clockhouse again.

Disgraceful attitude towards members of the public who order a taxi. Many apologies but unfortunately embedded poor systems of organisation.

I booked a car on the app and still hadn’t been assigned a car I called them after 30 minutes to be told a driver would be with me in 5 minutes 15 minutes passed so I called again to be told my driver broke down (which I don’t believe to be the truth) and a cab wouldn’t be available to me for 40 minutes ! Disgusting customer service never using them again

They turned up 30 mins late, we had to leave without using the taxi, it was a nightmare as we were then very late for our appointment. Despite lots of communication confirmed the correct time. We called and just got excuses. Would not use again.

Absolutely useless this has now happened twice with this crappy car service booked a cab day before for hospital visit and the driver didn’t turn up when asked where he was company said he’s late he’ll be 20mins!! Missed hospital app on two separate occasions now due to there complete incompetence!! Do not use them they’re are just awful!

"Your booking is confirmed". Great. So we continue our journey home knowing we have a cab ready in 20 mins and then....Notification- Cancelled. No reason given.

Always late, lies about arrival times. My friend is a pensioner in his 70s and is constantly let down. He has no internet access hence my input. Get a bus if you can.

Pre-booked a meet and greet at the airport for our return journey which they charge extra for. However driver turns up and phones me while I’m in baggage reclaim to say he is waiting in the pick-up area. I told him I’d paid in advance for meet and greet he told me I hadn’t. After some arguing he did eventually agree to meet us in the terminal building and then continued to argue saying we hadn’t paid for meet and greet and we’d have to pay extra which I totally refused to do. In the taxi I spoke to whom I was told was the owner on the telephone after opening my bank statement on my phone which clearly showed I had paid the correct money however, the man on the end of the phone was shouting at me, was very rude and didn’t want to listen to me and said my bank had defrauded his company because they hadn’t paid him all the money I’d paid on my debit card. It really isn’t a good feeling to know that a company is trying to con you and really not what you need when you have had a long flight! I will not be using this company again and I will be telling my family and friends of my experience.

I cannot even describe how angry and upset I am about what happened to my elderly Mother when she used this taxi firm today. She was in the process of getting into the vehicle when the driver suddenly drove off with the back passenger door wide open and her hanging out of the taxi desperately clinging on to the inside of the car. Luckily he stopped before driving too far but the distress this has caused my Mum who has severe arthritis is considerable and whilst the driver apologised profusely, my Mum could have been seriously injured or killed. There are some serious safety issues that need to be looked into. Unbelievably, the driver then charged her the full fare!

Just arrived extremely late again because of this company. The controllers will always tell you that the car will take 10 minutes, even when they don't have one available. They will take the booking and simply not care how long the car takes to pick up, or about whether the customer is on time. On this occasion, they only gave the job to the driver 15 minutes after I had called - and he was 15 minutes away. Had they been honest, I might or might not have used them. Either way, I would certainly have used them in the future. But now, the lie, the insult to the intelligence when they blamed it on traffic (i.e. lied again) and the damage done by my being late means that I will always choose another company. I'm sure that apps like Uber will put these people out of business. They deserve it for their short-termist abuse of their customers' trust, but it didn't have to be this way.

Do not use this company! I arrived at Gatwick late on a Sunday eve and there were no instructions on where to meet the car. After 1/2 he I found he was waiting at the “drop off” point but had a flat tyre and no replacement car was organised. Was hung up on several times. Left stranded at Gatwick at midnight. No ownership. No customer service. Avoid at all costs!!!!!

Yet again blocking the high street by parking on double yellow lines outside the clock tower and cutting lanes down from 3 to 2. Driver nowhere in sight despite constant horns for them to move. Total disregard for other drivers (and the Highway Code!!!). What other Driving rules do they break??!!??

You guys are a joke. Always 15 mins late. Cancelling as you don’t have drivers. Unreliable and rude. I don’t normally rant, but people should know not to use you. Shockingly bad service!

Very dissatisfied with the attitude of the driver and the company. I phoned up to ask if I could take my dog with me in the taxi. They said yes, it would not be a problem. I then ordered the taxi on the app as I said I would. The arrival time was quoted as 4 minutes, then it changed to 9 minutes, then the taxi arrived nearly 15 minutes after ordering. The taxi driver then refused to take us and drove off. I called to complain. This time the person who answered the phone was unpleasant and totally dismissive. When I said I was unhappy he said for me to call the dog company and not them, so I said that I would not be using them again. He then said he did not want customers like us. As a result I missed my daughter singing in the school choir today, something that I cannot get back. I recommend you find an alternative provider as these people are rude and unpleasant if you ever have cause to complain.

OMG if there was minus 5, I’d be there. First the driver - great. But that was the only good part of the experience. I booked via their app on a fixed price with the Pu time an estimated 5 minutes. I rang after 15 and was told it would be 10 minutes. 20 minutes later my car arrived. On being dropped off the ‘meter’ (an iPhone) said that the fare was higher. 50% higher. I called the office and complained clearly and directly (no profanity) to be told that this was abuse. So I paid the fare, gave the driver a decent tip (it’s not his fault) and will now send the screen grab of the quoted price to trading standards. Avoid like the plague for the simple reason that people like this do not deserve to be in business.
