“I have had 2 deliveries from Coombe organics and it has always been on time and well packaged in reusable packing. The beef has been delicious and very flavoursome, however on my last delivery I ordered a joint of rump. It was advertised as having a layer of fat added to the top for roasting as there is very little fat in this cut. Unfortunately there was no added layer of fat on the joint and despite cooking in foil and adding lard it was rather dry. Fortunately the flavour still came through and maybe it was my cooking but I believe the added fat as advertised would have helped. Having said this every other piece of meat ordered has been succulent and bursting with flavour and commented on by all have eaten it.”

Hi Sue! Thank you for your review! Normally all our Organic Beef Roasting Joints (except the Chateaubriand) are covered with at least a little layer of fat to help preventing dry-out while roasting. We are sorry that this little extra seems to have been missing with your joint and hope it won't happen again! Kind regards from Coombe Farm Organic

“I have only tasted the sausages and bacon so far Does not compare with anything that are sold in stores Had a strong sense of Deja vu while eating bacon, which tasted like this approx 30 yrs ago.”

“All arrived very quickly and still beautifully frozen. The lamb (half shoulder bone in) was delicious and served 5 of us with a few bits left. Will definitely order again.”

“I wasn't sure if they would deliver up to Aberdeen and emailed first - I was contacted by a very friendly managing director who was very informative about what to expect and the use of recyclable packaging materials. The food when it arrived was still frozen - I was at work when it came - food was of an excellent quality - so I am just about to put in another order :-)”

“Really loved our order; the beef shin turned into a delicious Irish stew, the chicken carcass into bouillon, and the rest into various other dinners. Well worth seeking out the cheaper cuts which are all of great quality.”

“I'm very impressed . The steaks were deliciously tender and lean , worth every penny! We love the package too , kept the freeze pads to use during the summer and the sheep's fleece insulation will be used in the hanging baskets , hopefully by the summer we will have some fleece left for crafts activities too . Many thanks!”

“I was impressed to see the products purchased very well packaged and protected. It's my first time shopping with you and I would certainly shop again. My only concern is for my part actually and would like to be advised further, it's with regard to the meats, when I opened my box I found that the meats were part frozen which then got me thinking as to wether I would then have to consume it all within 24hrs (if no freezing was intended? Can you advise? Other than that, many thanks.”

Hello Robert! Thank you for your review. As discussed via email all products are delivered frozen - you can either just put them in your freezer or keep them in your fridge to slowly defrost and consume within 3-5 days. Kind regards, Coombe Farm Organic.

“The service was very quick & the meat was packaged so well & beautifully. My only negative is my meat being packaged in plastic, it's something I personally really dislike. The meat however was very tasty & my family even noticed a difference so the tast test was a winner!!”

Hi Natalie, Thanks for the feedback. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know thoughts on the site and our products. We totally agree with you when it comes to packaging. Plastic drives us crazy too. However, for us to be able to pack, store, freeze and transport our meat, it is a legal requirement. That said, we actually use plastic that is approved by the Soil Association. It is made with sustainability in mind and we only use it where absolutely necessary. “Brilliant. Lovely meat, wide variety, fast delivery. They even phoned me up to let me know when stuff wasn't in stock and told me when it would be. Other box schemes have never bothered and I've been disappointed when the box arrives. Wonderful .”
