“The meat and pies are excellent and I love the use of retired dairy beef and mutton. I would love to be able to return the gel packs as there are far more than I will ever need and it seems a shame to destroy them.”

We have tried a returns of packaging service, but we felt this was using more carbon than if recycled at home and because of a hygiene risk we can not reuse the packaging

“Whilst making some Brussles pate I had to trim off the skin from the pork meat I was using. Rather than throw this away I cut it into finger strips that I brushed with oil and salt. 15 minutes in a 200 C oven produced the most tasty crackling I have ever been able to make. The whole order came well packed and still cold enough to re-freeze. I will look forward to the rest ...especially the roat pork that is currently slow cooking in the oven for my evening meal today.”

“It's nice to buy organic meat direct from the producer and the meat is always high quality. My only problem is the packaging. The ice packs should be returned and reused. I hate that I am putting the contents down the drain (it's not water for sure) and then putting the bags out for dubious recycling. The boxes I put in my compost heap which isn't so bad. Other box systems reuse their packaging so it is possible.”

“I made a Lamb Tagine with the diced lamb.It did taste better than supermarket diced lamb even after the long slow cooking.Ideally the chunks might have been a wee bit bigger and more even but the point is the flavour which was excellent.”

“I'm really happy to have discovered CFO, and have enjoyed working through some of the products in my first delivery. The sausages had already begun to soften around the edges on arrival, so went into the fridge, but as far as I am aware everything else was still deep frozen and went straight into the freezer.”

“haven't quite eaten all our goodies. the sausages were great, the burgers not so, the lamb was tasty. so far so good. Not everything was frozen on arrival, maybe a courier issue and it was during the recent heatwave”

“Food is good quality but a bit pricey. Also the method of delivery meant that a number of items had already started to defrost so I had to use those items quickly even though I had planned to use them at a later date.”
