“Made a slow, rich and comforting broth which was absolutely delicious. Will buy again. Less one star is because I personally would appreciate just a bit more meatiness to the bones for extra depth.”

“Lovely broth even though I thought I had ordered the low Fodmap version, my mistake! Nonetheless, my husband thinks they're delicious. Some of the soup pouches were defrosted on delivery so I couldn't refreeze them. I am happy to order again in the future.”

“Food is fine. Thanks. I understand the need to keep food cold. But find the amount of unrecyclable cooling bags depressing. Stops me wanting to buy more on line.”

“As always, products ordered were excellent although the duck, being the absolute minimum weight, was disappointingly small for the price. The main concern was with the carrier. The carton arrived broken and wet. The carrier left it on the driveway and didn’t even ring the doorbell to say it was there - probably because of the state of the box. On lifting the box it disintegrated and the contents spilled out over the driveway. It was dark at the time and unfortunately did not come across the duck giblets pack until the next day on the driveway - by then run over! Certainly expected better service from DPD!”

“The product is still very good quality and the delivery timetable was very well respected. This time I remove one star because a part of the produce was defrosted when it reached me. It is the second time that this happens. Luckily it was only one item for the latest order and 2/3 for the previous one. I could cook them straight away and freeze so no major issue. But I ordered for Xmas and I hope this will not occur, because I want my dinner freshly cooked on the special day. I am not sure if this is due to the change of packaging. It used to be wool and water ice packs and all would arrive frozen. Now it is paper and gel packs. I am not a great fan of these gel packs, emptying in the sink and not plastic recyclable is not practical and eco friendly - with no additional benefit. Or have you changed the delivery company and it now takes more time? But something to be looked into.”

“The fish arrived on time and looks very good (not eaten anything yet) I would say the amount of frozen sachets (9) used for for this size box was extravagant, it would not be good I think to flush the gel contents into a cesspit. Hence 4 stars”

“Lovely and really tasty produce.We did have a problem with the delivery packaging box was soaked and items starting to defrost but staff were really helpful in sorting the issue.Thank you.Must add the pork and lamb we have tried were amazing.”

“We got a meat pack through YeoValley which we saved loads of Yeokens for. The lamb shoulder was delicious. The steaks were excellent too. Where I'm rating a bit lower is the sausages which had an oddly sweet taste, and the bacon wasn't anything special. It arrived frozen, couriered by DPD.”

“Nothing better than the taste of grass fed organic lamb. All of us are sick to death with Growth Hormones. Wormers. Antibiotics and the like. People have got to wake up to how important Organic is.”

“So far I've tried the trout, Lambs liver and rabbit. All were very nice and would buy again. The trout had very little fat, good colour, texture and flavour. It was rather large in my opinion, which seems to be common in farmed fish, albeit that this is farmed more sustainably, it's still farmed at the end of the day and one wonders what these farmed fish are fed on? The liver was the best I've tried for texture. Flavour was good. Rabbit cooked very nicely in a stew. It was strong but not over powering. The only negative was that I felt guilty about all the packaging for my relatively small order. I couldn't reuse the freezer packs, so all that went in the recycling with the paper and cardboard.”

“The food and the quick and efficient service are excellent and much appreciated. But I am really sorry you have changed your cold packaging. I preferred the more recyclable one and the old one was fine. I didn't think the new one was better. Please stay as recyclable as possible!”

“Good website and great choice. The produce is excellent but the packaging was awful. 32 bags of gel which made the box extremely heavy and has given me a headache to deal with. I think the produce will be just fine with one or two if chilled first and delivered in a day.”

“The meat was very good but defrosted when it reached us due to the parcel being wrongly delivered to Leicester then delivered to us late the next afternoon. We did phone you and straight away you arranged to deliver us another parcel. So service was great. DPD not so good. We had to give a lot of meat to our neighbours as could not be refrozen”
