“I ordered a dress from couture candy/Terani online and had a very disappointing experience. The item that arrived looked nothing like the photos and the sizing was completely off. The material felt cheap for the price I paid. To make things worse, customer service was unresponsive when I reached out about a return, and I ended up losing both time and money. I would not recommend ordering from here. Please, please do not order from this website.”

“dress did not fit, i was beyond the 14 day return.. i did not want a refund, a credit would have been fine. they would not take back at all.... VERY DISAPPOINTED.”

“I would not even give one star! I have never ordered from this company before. I ordered two different sizes of the same dress for my son's wedding. Obviously, I would not be keeping 2 dresses. The dress did NOT say final sale. The immediate return policy that indicates that dresses may be returned within 5 days of receipt. I sent an email and requested a return address and was told I can NOT return either dress. According to them, it was a final sale, even though it did not indicate that. This company is a scam. Now, I am stuck with 2 dresses still in the plastic that I can not wear. I would not recommend this company to anyone!”

“It is completely unreasonable and unfair to penalize a customer with only 50% store credit when the product sold was defective and damaged upon arrival. This policy may apply to cases of refused shipments or change-of-mind returns, but it should not apply when the seller delivers faulty merchandise. In this situation, the seller bears full responsibility to either replace the item or issue a full refund back to the original payment method. Attempting to reduce the customer’s remedy to half the value, and forcing store credit instead of a refund, places all of the burden on the buyer for a mistake that was solely on the seller’s end. Such a policy is not only inequitable but may also conflict with basic consumer protection standards. I expect a full refund for defective merchandise, as promised in your correspondence, and not a partial store credit.”

“Make sure you check their return policy. I ordered 4 dresses and checked with online portal that I could return for refund if not satisfied. I was told I would get full refund - it is STORE CREDIT! That was not shared until I tried to do the return! Not sure what I’m going to do with $1500 in formal wear credits!”

“Products are very bad. Not accepting returns also. Avoid buying from Candy Couture. Gown Material was nice came smelly moist also. Would not recommend to anyone. Customer care is also very bad”

“I placed an order on 8/7/25 and I didn’t hear anything so I emailed on 8/12/25 to check on it. Customer service just emailed me back today to inform me that my order was out of stock. I placed the order 5 days ago and it was still in stock. I knew this because I was about to buy the dress on Promgirl website. I wish I did. Trying to save 20$ on CoutureCandy but missed the dress I really like. First time buying on CoutureCandy is also the last time. It’s extremely disappointed and never again!”

“What a SCAM -- the return policy says they will "happily" accept a return within 5 days -- I asked for a return the moment I got the dress and was told it was on sale and was not eligible for a return!!!!!!!!! NO WHERE did it say final sale! DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY!”

“If you buy anything here, just understand that you can not return it and it is most likely defective. I purchased a dress here for my daughter, i (a professional seamstress) took her measurements and placed an order for a dress that if anything....would have been too big for her. The measurements of the dress and the measurements listed on the site are completely different. they were off nearly 3 inches in all areas. I submitted a request to return it immediately upon receiving it. and was told that the item did not fall in their return policy because it was on sale. no where when purchasing it did it say this item fell under "final sale" and the return information said there were easy returns within 5 days of receipt. That was all. Complete rip off .”

“Zero return policy. I the days of online shopping, you really need to read the fine print. The policy states they are glad to accept returns and want to make customers happy. Reality is everything is "on sale" and nothing is returnable, or exchangeable. I will never do business with such a company that is all about money and not about keeping customers.”

“If I could give this company a BIG FAT ZERO I would most definitely do so.... their return policy is VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE to navigate and -- even tho they're not open on the weekends they count those days as well... My dress was > $700 and was still in its original packaging with tags still on but bcuz I was tecnically 18hrs. overdue in shipping it back that refused to credit me the money back!!!! I believe that felt they were being magnanimous by offering a 10% rebate ----- a measly $75 on a $750 dress!!!! Absurd. I have contacted the BBB to report their ridiculous return policy and will continue to write reviews any/everywhere I can”

“If I could give this company a 0+++ I would do so — having spent > $700 on a dress for my daughter’s wedding I attempted to return said dress. Not only is their return policy VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE to follow, they look for ANYTHING to not return your $$$. I was LESS THAN 24hrs. “tardy” in them receiving the dress, offered to incur a 20% penalty, and they STILL DENIED MY RETURN…. I am an RN Travel Nurse who was out of town when the dress arrived and communicated with them EVERY SINGLE STEP OF THE WAY. After sending the dress back to me today they offered me $70 to “make things right” — seriously???? So much for honoring our health care providers, right???? RUN, RUN, RUN away from purchasing with this company”

“This company lies about return policies. I purchased a dress and nowhere on the website did it say final sale! Purchasing an expensive dress that is not returnable makes absolutely no sense. The dress a Mac Duggal cocktail dress. I purchased a size 18. The top was huge, and the seamstress said this dress is not made right and does not fit properly. When tried to exchange or get a refund they lied and said it was a final sale.”

“⚠️ Zero stars — absolutely unacceptable experience ‼️ I ordered a dress that was advertised as new, but what I received was defective and completely unwearable. The company was initially apologetic while waiting for the return, which I shipped back promptly. However, after receiving it, they waited nearly four months before changing their position, offering only 50% store credit instead of a proper full refund back to my original form of payment. This is misleading and unethical. Selling damaged or defective items as “new” is deceptive, and this kind of behavior erodes consumer trust. There are federal laws in place to protect customers from practices like this, yet the company seems more interested in taking advantage of buyers than doing the right thing. I’ve submitted a formal complaint to the Better Business Bureau and will continue to share my experience publicly to help others avoid falling into the same situation. I strongly advise anyone considering purchasing from this company to proceed with extreme caution. ⚠️”

“Horrible experience!!!!! RETURNS HAVE TO BE PAID BY CUSTOMERS AMD ONLY CREDIT GIVEN. This dress was purchased for my daughter’s bridal shower. The make and quality of the fabric was horrible for the price. When I tried to return, I had to be a $40 return fee. ALL RETURNS ARE are done as a credit and not returned in its original form of payment. I was not very happy with the purchase and I will not be purchasing from this site in the future.”

“I ordered several dresses to try, not realizing how impossible they are with their return process. They did not give a refund for 3 dresses I tried on and I immediately returned. They only provided a temporary in-store credit for a future purchase. I already purchased 2 dresses from them. I will not order from them again.”
