I recently experienced significant issues with CultBeauty, which I feel compelled to share. After attempting to place an order that initially failed due to insufficient funds, I was surprised to find a charge on my bank statement nine days later without any notification from CultBeauty. This lack of communication was particularly concerning given that I had received an email confirming the order "was not processed." Upon discovering the charge, I attempted to cancel the order through CultBeauty's website. However, I encountered a glaring technical issue that falsely advertised the ability to cancel orders. Despite following the website's instructions, the cancellation process was inoperative, presenting a facade of functionality that, in reality, did not exist. It's alarming that CultBeauty does not notify customers of subsequent charging attempts after an initial failure, nor does it provide a functional mechanism for cancellation. This experience has severely impacted my trust in CultBeauty and highlights a need for significant improvements in their customer communication and website functionality. In summary, the combination of unexpected charges, lack of clear communication, and a dysfunctional cancellation process paints a disappointing picture of CultBeauty's customer service and operational integrity.

i didn't receive my parcel, i didn't get my money back. and the customer service is terrible. in this experience i only lost money.

don't even go on their website - scam, i didn't receive my parcel even tho everyone is home and their link of delivery changed to a random website. cult beauty is a scam. they don't answer in the provided email. SCAM, no response, no parcel

I am writing about the missing order 528089573. It is been 3 month since submitting the 'Non-Receipt of Goods' disclaimer form, and there was no action nor refund, despite the initial estimate of 5-7 days. Cult Beauty support team has showed zero desire to resolve the issue and is not willing to help in any way or form

I’ve shopped at CULT for a very long time, I had an issue with the pumping mechanism of an expensive produce, so contacted cult via message. Over a month later after numerous follows up, I get another reply from them saying they have sent to a department for a response but haven’t got one and do me to be patient . Patient 30 day after an initial response saying 3-5 working days is more than patient. And I still have no resolve . This is the last time I would shop here .

Awful customer service. Don’t actually feel as though I’m talking to a real person, just keep receiving the same standard stock replies. I returned an order and using the tracking number I can see it was delivered back to Cult Beauty on January 2nd. I have been chasing to receive a refund and they maintain that the parcel has gone missing in their warehouse and until it is found, they cannot give me a refund. I’ve done everything right on my part so I don’t understand why they won’t refund me when it’s not my fault it’s gone missing? Will never place an order here again and will warning everyone I know not to shop with them.

Awful experience with customer service. Was having issues with the website (lagging, auto refreshing) whilst ordering but still persisted and managed to get my item in my basket. The first order I placed, I was charged the full amount but no order was registered via the website or via email confirmation. I flag this up via my bank, chalk it down to payment system errors and reorder the same item again. This time it goes through and I get the email confirmation immediately so I thought all was well. WRONG. I get an email from Royal Mail today telling me that the parcel is on its way to my old address (which is my saved address on my account but I’d edited it prior to placing my order). The website clearly must have auto refreshed and defaulted back to an old address. Anyways, I reach out to Cult Beauty to see if they can help via their customer service chat feature. The customer service agent I speak to basically refuses to help me and tells me that I am liable as I ‘typed my address in incorrectly and should have been more careful’. Which doesn’t even make any sense as my delivery address and billing address are the same so how would the payment have gone through if I’d typed in the wrong address? She then informs me that it is my responsibility to retrieve the parcel (which is 210 miles away!) and return it, as if I don’t do this then they won’t be able to refund me. I explain the multitude of issues I’d been having that evening but she clearly didn’t care and was insistent on waving any liability from their company and their clearly faulty website design. So now, not only have I paid TWICE for one parcel, I am also not even going to receive said parcel? There’s been no resolution to this so far but I’m just frustrated and disgusted with this customer service experience. She was rude, unhelpful and defensive. If I could give this company 0 stars I would in a heartbeat. DO NOT USE IT!!!!

Appalling customer service - I was a new customer and was trying to use a gift voucher. Basket was £44 with free delivery and voucher value was £50. As soon as I used the gift voucher code I then had to pay for delivery - what?! I added a new customer code which gave me free delivery then couldn't use my voucher. The CS team member just said repeatedly "one code only to be used" and was no help when I explained the situation and could not give me an answer on what would happen to the £6 left on my voucher. The worst customer service I have ever experienced - they refuse to provide refunds for items which they lost in their warehouses, despite providing tracking numbers and proof of postage.

Ordered 2 bottles of molecule 01 in February 2023. Both bottles arrived and neither of them had any scent! Contacted customer services who took she’s to respond . Eventually they asked for batch numbers etc which I supplied promptly. Was told it was being investigated and I would have a response with 2-3 days. Needless to say that never happened! I continued to contact them and got the same response. This has been ongoing now for almost a year and their outcome is there is no issue with the product and the case is closed. They never asked to take the product back so I don’t know how they know there’s no issue. They even suggested I try it on someone else as I may be nose blind. My friend has had this scent before and that’s why I bought it as I loved the smell. Their customer service is absolutely diabolical. I think their products are fake and they should be investigated. I have been on to consumer rights and I intend to take this matter further based on principle. This company cannot get away with this. Absolutely disgraceful. DO. NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

AVOID!! Order placed early December (Christmas presents) and money taken. Then received an email on CHRISTMAS EVE to say items were out of stock. Shocking customer service. Absolutely terrible company. Still waiting for a refund for items never received.

I ordered items on 8th December they never arrived. I asked for them to resend as had waited two weeks and they would not send a replacement. Customer service is absolutely non existent. It is 20th December now and they will not send a replacement next day and said refund will take 3-5 days so will not get this money until after Christmas. I will NEVER order from here again and advised everyone else to not get sucked in to lower prices. Once they have your money they do not care at all. Shame on this company and the non existent customer service. ITEMS NEVER TURNED UP. Do not use this company. Same thing happened to my friend.

Avoid this company! Ordered £56 worth of products. Messaged them to say I hadn’t received them weeks later. Received an email saying my order had a problem so they’ve cancelled it and I won’t be charged but they took the £56 from my account when I placed the order. Should not be allowed to operate like this! Avoid at all costs!

Parcel never arrived and Cult Beauty admitted their carrier lost it. Weeks later they refuse to refund, insisting that they will send a replacement instead. I explained it was Christmas gift and replacment would arrive too late. They still refused to refund, even though they haven't dispatched the replacement goods yet (the good are still in their Warehouse). They blithely said I can return the parcel when it arrives (which will now be about 4 weeks late at least). I live in New Zealand. Returning the parcel will cost a fortune and take weeks more. I've had to lodge a visa dispute. Cult beauty should just stop the dispatch or contact their carrier to have the parcel redirected back to them.

They sent me the expired item and didn't want to resolve the problem until I opened the case in PayPal!!!I I was waiting for more than a month until they offered me a resolution to return the item, and I returned it as soon as they said to me to do it in order to get my refund. The communication process with customer support has been incredibly time-consuming and stressful as the lied to me all the time and each time said different things to me!!!!! They received the returned item more than month ago ans still didn't inform me about the status!!!! I won the case in PayPal and only thanks to that I got the money back! They even issued no refund for the shipping cost fees they also promised to return me back to my account. I spent 12.20 EUR for the return (at my own cost that they had to cover), and still no news from them!!!!!!!! Highly do no recommend this website!!!

I ordered something in London. It never arrived. Seems like a scam to me. They kept asking for all of these details, same ones, over and over, and I provided the details and they would ask again, and again for the same information.

If I could give this company zero stars, I would. My mother made an order - it was delivered to the wrong address.....200 miles away! You would imagine that this wouldn't be a problem - a quick chat with customer services and it would be sorted! After all, in this day and age, a company as big as Cult Beauty surely must have excellent customer service? Right? Well, you would be wrong, oh so very WRONG. Getting hold of anyone has been nothing short of infuriating - there is NO ONE to actually TALK to. Live chat was disabled, so comms had to be via social media or email! Social media responses were all the same - little cheery waves and star emojis (!) and messages saying they would look into it. Email was not much better. FYI - you need to wait between 24 - 48 hours for any kind of response. The kicker is that when they did respond they told me that my mother had input the wrong delivery address and then told me it was up to me to contact the complete stranger who had received the item and ask them to return it! This was despite my being able to show that the RIGHT FULL address WAS on the delivery details - although.....a random EXTRA postcode had been added at the end. This was clearly a Cult Beauty system error as it is literally impossible to add two different postcodes into the Cult Beauty address filter when making an order. Of course this has been ignored by Customer Services. They have washed their hands of it. And we've heard nothing, nada....tumbleweed. This was not a cheap item that was ordered - it was EXPENSIVE and a Christmas present. The main issue I have is that this company clearly does not care about its customers AT ALL. Their lack of reasonable response just shows the utter contempt they have for their customers. It has taught me one thing - never, ever to order from this company again - and it's something I will be telling all my friends and family. There are MANY other providers in the beauty space, who offer a MUCH better service, with decent customer service. I caution anyone using this company to think again, because when your order goes wrong, they JUST. DON'T. CARE.

Such a horrible shopping experience, no words can describe it. I've placed an order on 31st October, silly me hoping this would spare my nerves when it comes to last minute Christmas shopping. The site promised the delivery in 15-17 days (UK to Malta). 28 days in still no indication when the parcel will be delivered. Apparently the parcel got damaged/there are items missing. Investigation taking place etc.. I understand the company is not liable for delivery damages. I would have much more understanding, if there was a remotely capable team of people behind customer support. Live chat down at all times (wonder why). The only form of communication is though messages which 1. are normally replied to in 24/48h and 2. seem automated, as if a person was following a script given, or worse automatically written by an AI. No help whatsoever given at any time. I am waiting to see what useless excuse will be given in order to avoid compensation for damaged/lost. Take my advice, and DON'T order from this website.
