“This cake itself was delicious; rich chocolate sponge with marshmallow and chocolate ganache filling. However, none of us liked the crunchy sugar coated small bits all over the cake (inside and out) For us this addition defintely lowered the quality of the cake, made it taste too sweet. With these left out, the cake would be close to perfect!”

“Ordered the Lemon Drizzle cake. It was very nice - lemons had certainly been used in thr making based on the punchu zesty taste. Not sure will buy again as not sure the cost makes it value for money. Maybe if £7-10 cheaper then ok, given have to factor in £5-8 delivery charge…”

“The cake was fantastic, it tasted amazing. The reason for four stars and not five was due to not receiving it on the day I needed. The order didn't generate the date, and the cake arrived a day late.”

“Nothing wrong with C&S, easy to order, arrived on time. But could have been better packaged, box was a bit battered and cookies were all in plastic bags, but those are minor issues.”

“I bought this as a gift to cheer up a couple of my daughter’s friends. I asked for honest feedback so I would know whether or not to buy from the company again. This is what I got. “It’s really tasty. Personally, I would put in more clotted cream but the jam and scones are excellent........ loved the lemon drizzle cake and the brownies are really nice! The tea leans more to the Ceylon Darjeeling than the Assam, giving it a smooth flavour that compliments the sweets. It’s an excellent gift! Will probably order some more of the tea.” The recipients are foodies so this review comes from a relatively informed source.”

“The sample cake tin, helped us to make a decision on what we would choose as our final cake, so worthwhile purchasing if you are not sure what you'd prefer. They do really nice creamy cakes. Not spectacular bur rich, creamy and delightful nonetheless.”

“We were very happy overall with the cake we ordered - the service from start to finish was excellent! The cake was very tasty, but we felt the sponge was a little too dry from day one for our liking; otherwise, we were glad we chose C&S and will do so again. Thanks, M&A”

“I've been using cutter and squidge during lockdown to bring smiles to my family and friends, especially since we can't meet in person. I find the dates I need for the gift to be delivered always available and you can book in advance, so no need to panic! So far I've been really impressed in making those specialist moments happen at the right time. Thank you C&S.”

“We really enjoyed the salted caramel cake for a BIG birthday. The sponge was moist and the filling was delicious. The outer butter cream was a bit too buttery for me but my husband loved it. Thank you”
