I asked for it to be delivered the day before I needed it but delivery was delayed so it was too late for when I needed it. Macarons were also broken. Disappointing

12/06/2026 The passionfruit and pistachio cake my husband bought for my birthday last year was far superior to the one I got for his birthday this year. We both were very disappointed and annoyed. Last year’s cake had 3 layers and was so fresh and you could taste so much passionfruit and pistachio filling. So delicious. This time we there was far more sugar (icing sugar is the top ingredient), causing it to be over sweet, and the only pistachio was that which was sprinkled on the top. The flavour was far from the same. Obviously, the recipe was greatly altered (e.g.s, far more emulsifiers, lower standard yoghurt) and the presentation of the whole cake has changed. on the birthday message, I added in (..) some request to maybe not make it too sweet if possible, and while I would understand they can't custom adjust sugar, at least don't leave the request text in the card itself, had to throw it in the bin.

An utter shambles of an experience which I will not be repeating again. Firstly, every single correspondence you’ve sent has been addressed to the recipient not me, the sender, you can’t even get my name right. I had to place the same order 3 times before you got it right. The entire process took over a week to resolve, I was only ordering brownies!!! First order didn’t have any tracking updates, second order was processed incorrectly so never made it through to a courier and the final order was the only one that worked! By the time the order arrived it missed the key date for the celebration despite me ordering it well in advance. No idea how the brownies tasted but the whole process was very frustrating!!

We would like to clarify that the name used in our correspondence is automatically linked to the name entered on the account at the time of ordering. In this case, the recipient’s name had been entered in place of the sender’s details, which is why our communications were addressed incorrectly. Unfortunately, the first order was not scanned correctly by Royal Mail and was effectively lost within their network. As soon as this became clear, we arranged a free of charge replacement which was dispatched via Royal Mail and successfully delivered within 3 days of dispatch. In addition to this, we also proactively arranged a third replacement order via DPD to help ensure the recipient received the gift as quickly as possible, which arrived on the same day as the Royal Mail replacement ✨ We completely appreciate that this was still far from the seamless experience you expected, especially for a gift ordered well in advance, and we are very sorry for the frustration caused throughout the process 💛

For the price paid I didn't expect the icing/buttercream to be cracking I guess due to it drying out? Nothing a quick zap in the microwave wouldn't fix but still not what I expected.

The box of brownies weren’t delivered by DPD, appreciate this isn’t the fault of c&s but I didn’t love that when I contacted the company about it I just got an AI generated response with something generic. They also didn’t offer any discount and I had to ask to be refunded the £5.95 delivery which they should have offered straight away. Personally for a new customer I would have gone further so I won’t be ordering again and would probably tell people to avoid in the future given there are so many other great small businesses out there.

The cake and personalised disc was amazing. Only thing which spoiled it for me was the gift card message. The staff couldn't print what I wanted and had to add ?????? At the end of the message and for that I can only give 2* God bless

We placed many orders and liked Cutter and Squidge cakes. However, for the past 3 consecutive times despite that we selected morning delivery, cakes get delivered in the late aftenoon which is too late for our events. DPD marks delivery as delivered at about 10am and attaching a blurry photo of the box not showing the location of the delivery, whilst the actual delivery happens much later in the day. On one of those deliveries, as no one was in the office when the box was delivered and was sitting until the following day to discover that one cake had cooling bag, whilst the second cake didnt have any, so the cream and cake all together went soft, so it didnt feel safe to eat the following day. During those 3 deliveries, we followed up with C&S as well as DPD, the issue remains ongoing. Due to the nature of perishable products, it is essential that deliveries work well.

Not a great experience at all, the delivery was wrong and sent to a completely different house , I tried to call and they told me to call their customer service who never picked up (bearing in mind this is literally in the dead of day at 2pm ) , tried many times to no avail. I had to end up looking at all the doors on the road to find that it was dropped four doors down .
