Premium price with no delivery. Slow service so far when trying to arrange a refund. Very disappointed

I used the website so ordered online. Picked the day I wanted the items delivered, making sure I gave myself an additional day before I actually needed the cake and sadly that’s wasn’t enough. The cake was delivered to a random house by DPD in “error” at 11am. I contacted DPD the minute I saw the issue and was told they couldn’t do anything and to contact Cutter and Squidge. I did this about 10 minutes after the delivery notification. I was sent a very patronising response from the AI bot telling me to go to the neighbours house and collect it. The cake wasn’t delivered to a neighbour it was delivered to a house that was showing on Google Maps as being 20 minutes away from where I lived and I didn’t actually have a house number. Asked to speak to a human. Was then emailed at 5:50pm the same day asking when I wanted a replacement cake. I responded within minutes but apparently the office shuts at 6 pm so no one got my response. 12 pm the next day I still hadn’t had a response from them so I then had to contact them again and find out what was going on, to be told “you contacted us out of hours” nothing we can do today but we can deliver in 2 days. Not good enough.

On 3rd March I received an automated e-mail stating the cake had been “delivered around 11am”, which was incorrect and misleading. No cake was delivered on 3rd March. 

Neither I nor the restaurant received any delivery attempt or communication. 

3 days later, on 06.03, the company contacted me suggesting that I collect a 3-day old cake from their bakery despite paying for delivery for 03.03. I paid £141 for a cake to be delivered on a specific date for my birthday celebration. As they did not deliver or did not communicate with me that day at all other than saying that the cake was delivered , misleading me to believe that the cake is in the restaurant, the service paid for was not provided. 

 

I also asked to speak with a manager but, despite being assured this would happen, no manager has contacted me to date. 

I therefore requested a full refund within 7 days, however I have not heard back from them.

We did everything we could to accommodate the conflict between the delivery time you selected and the restaurant opening hours for your event. To avoid the cake being delivered to a closed venue, we arranged for it to be delivered and collected at our Soho store, which was communicated to you the day before delivery. Couldn’t have been more disappointed with this cake. The sponge was dry, there wasn’t any riding the layers. I would not buy or recommend this to anyone

Very much not recommended: the delivery service completely failed and not delivered the birthday cake at all; the customer servive team responded that the delivery slot is not guaranteed (though it was stated to be within 12 hours of selected day) and offered 'free of charge' redelivery (quite a joke). Requested full refund and would not order again.

The cake arrived frozen. I thought I was buying a fresh cake. It also arrived late. We were not able to eat the cake until late on my son’s birthday. Very disappointed. I explained the cake was frozen but no refund Amir justifies explanation. This does not feel in the spirit of Veganism as I know it. Mistakes happen but just accept it was not good enough. Also we feel the ingredients unnecessarily complicated.

Never got to taste any of them!! Extremely disappointed with my recent order from Cutter & Squidge. I sent this as a Christmas gift to friends, but the parcel arrived with a large tear in the box. Worse still, both packets of biscuits inside had already been opened and items consumed. Because we couldn’t guarantee the safety of the food or ensure it hadn't been tampered with, my friends had to destroy the entire contents. While the company offered a reorder, I declined; I didn’t want to risk the same thing happening again during the holidays. I requested a full refund. A very upsetting experience for what was supposed to be a festive treat.

Almost non-existent customer service. First line is useless AI agent that can’t actually resolves anything and just delays. After submitting a formal complaint I got a bland email than didn’t take on board any of my feedback and simply offered money off a future order. Your website has known issues both with submitting orders and loyalty points which you continue to ignore. When I pay £80+ for a personalised cake and your website fails to save the message would it really have been so hard to make a quick phone call and fix things rather than send the cake out with the disc and message missing?

Does not deliver their cakes. Ordered for a birthday, two weeks later still nothing has arrived. I imagine if it ever does arrive it will be vile and rotten by then. No apology. No recognition of a birthday spoiled. No refund offered, just a voucher to reorder with them! Awful

Awful experience with them. I ordered two cakes to cleberate my son's 1st birthday. They delivered the cakes to the wrong address. No reason was given to why this had happened and no help to recitify the problem. It was a case of 'computer says no'. Customer service was also bad. I was told a manager would call me and nothing to this day. I got an default email to say my refund has been process. No customer service at all. I found the situation very stressful and upsetting.

I ordered the festive brownies as a christmas gift, they arrived on 17th Dec with a use by date of 23rd December. so could not use as a gift. website is not clear of such a short use by date. they could have been delivered later, so in date for christmas day. Other suppliers have longer sell by date on their brownies. i am left feeling very disappointed and misled.

Our treats are made fresh with all-natural ingredients, so they have a shorter shelf life than products with preservatives. They’re designed to be enjoyed close to the time they’re delivered rather than stored beyond the advised use-by date.
