“Like a lot of other people I was sent the wrong item. I ordered a jumper and received a Mac! Having paid P&P I asked for this to be returned with the refund. Needless to say I did not get it. I will not be ordering from Damart again.”

“If I could leave 0 I would. We ordered a pair of shoes in March. They arrived a few weeks later in April and we're too big. We sent them back for an exchange. This took about a month for them to process and send out the exchange, and they sent the wrong products out to us. So we sent the back asking for the same shoes we originally ordered but a different size. I wait another month and still nothing. So contact them again, and they say the shoes have gone up in price now you will have to pay £9 more! When I said I wouldn't be paying this they just refunded the money and told me to re purchase them. The reason it took so long was because of them and their mistakes. Yet we were told to pay more money! Avoid at all costs.”
“My godmother's order had not arrived and so we called to sort out. The line was awful but eventually ascertained that they had not got the right card details on the order form. So I provided card details over the phone. Then we discovered their card system wasn't working. So then they said they could offer credit. Great let's do that.
Then nothing happened and no cloths arrived. So I called again. Turns out they weren't willing to offer credit without a credit check, but they hadn't bothered to tell anyone this. So I told them to cancel the order and I would order again with my card online. Even that took ages.
So I order the stuff. Just to add insult to injury it took over a week to come and my beloved godmother passed away two days later.
So I returned the cloths. You have to pay for this.
Then my phone bill came and I was charged £1/minute for the time I was on the phone to them. Because they were so slow and useless that was over £20!!! COWBOYS. Exploiting the less technical demographic in their customer group with premium phone lines and slow, terrible service.
I am gobsmacked that companies like this can stay in business.”
“I was charged over £28 for telephone calls to ask for instructions to return an item sent incorrectly. Two phone calls gave me the wrong information the final one gave the correct details. Each assistant kept asking me to hold while the checked something I think that they did this on purpose collect more income from the phone call. It didn’t say anywhere that it was a premium rate number. I am 70 and didn’t realise it was. I think a lot of there customers are older and they can be conned easier. They refunded me £10 for goodwill but the phone calls cost me more than my refund. I closed my account and will not buy from them again.”
“Just received a pair of summer shoes. I love, love, love them. Although I've paid at least £60 for a pair of wide fitting shoes on line, I ordered these shoes from Damart. SO comfy!! And, as always, all went smoothly through my personal account, and speedy delivery. In all the years I have been a customer, I have never had cause to complain. Well done again, DAMART.”
“Damart trying to cheat my 89yr old mother out of £171 for goods she has already paid for. When she rang up the women on the phone was very rude and insisted she owed this money my mum is disabled and now has to travel to the bank to get copies of statements to prove she has actually paid. Damart should get their act together and stop harassing innocent elderly folk who have paid .”

“Damart use a premium call rate number as their main contact number. Please be aware that it may cost your more to order an item than it costs to buy. The small print tells you this and it does not sound much, until you are kept waiting for 10 mins as your order is being placed.”

“I called Damart to ask them to stop sending brochures to my address for the previous occupant. The call was under 4 minutes but I ended up with a £4.88 charge on my phone bill. Disgusting. You should be advised when the call is answered of these charges. If I was ever thinking of using Damart in the future I won't!!”
