“Great products, excellent value for money and second to none customer service. My daughter needed items for a PGL school trip I hadn't managed to find anywhere else but I only had 24h left to get hold of them. A lady in customer services chased the items for me and the personally made sure they were in the post that same afternoon. The items arrived in the nick of time and I was able to slip them in my daughter's suitcase at the last minute.”

“Terrible, terrible, terrible. Ordered a table tennis table for delivery. Waited in all day didn't turn up on designated delivery day. No customer service or follow up. Promised again for "within a couple of weeks"...call from customer services finally "table has been discontinued". New table and delivery date set. Waited in all day. No delivery. Called delivery company..."it will definitely come today just late". No delivery. Called decathlon "we'll sort it out for delivery today". No call to confirm. I called decathlon "it will come today" call from delivery company "we'll deliver it next week"....giving up at this point. The whole experience is incredibly negative, upsetting and wearing.”

“I was hugely impressed by Decathlon. I ordered a tent for a trip rather later than I should've done and was worried about it arriving in time. Not only was I able to speak to a customer adviser within seconds of calling Decathlon, she said she would keep me updated on the order and would call if it was not shipped in time for my departure. In the end, the tent arrived well in advance of the trip, just two days after I placed the order. And the tent was great quality too! First class service. A+++”

“Service from shop good, but had to try on numerous sizes to get correct one for my (normal sized) 8yr old daughter. Eventually ended up with a 12yr old size - everything esle miles too small. Why are all your sizes so different to all the other shops??!! Very frustrating”

“Ordered two items - one costing £200+ and another costing ~£7. When the DHL delivery arrived on the promised date only the £7 item was on board! I contacted DHL who suggested there had been only one item on the delivery and, as my wife had signed for the parcel, as far as they were concerned the delivery was complete. I explained this to Decathlon who promised to investigate with both their warehouse and DHL. Calling them back the following day for an update, they volunteered to send another of the more expensive item until they had resolved the issue. I was, frankly, amazed and delighted by that level of customer service! In the event, DHL delivered the main item later that same day so I immediately contacted Decathlon to cancel the replacement. Amazeballs!”

“We now have the Domyos Fold Exercise Bike, which fits well in small space and functions quite well. There is a problem for me with long legs which have been injured by the fairly sharp downward pointing height adjustment clamp for the handlebars, which mostly occurs when getting on or off. I have several scars on my knees which catch this. I have had to cut a slot in a rubber and push this over the protruding sharp end although it does tend to come off from time to time. Of course if this was in the USofA my lawyers would already be getting in touch for compensation!! Mike Marlton”

“Excellent service with an awkward query i presented them with. Dealt with promptly and professionally. Especially credit goes to Mauro and Artiz at the Reading UK store and Naomi at the Customer Loyalty Contact Centre for keeping communication doors open and me informed with status updates. First time using Decathlon and extremely satisfied and would not hesitate in recommending to friends.”

“A poor man's sports direct. The only positive point is that even the stockport chavs won't be caught dead wearing their badly fitting poorly styled clothes. Lots of staff roaming around watching youtube videos on their phones with each other but no-one on the tills. Their tents aren't waterproof had one in the lakes last week leaked at the seams. AVOID.”
