“It was easy to search the web site then to place an order on line. All communications were fast and accurate. My parcel was delivered to my nearest branch , ready for collection which was simple and efficient.”

“I purchased two pairs of Merrell shoes. Disappointed with the first pair as the description made no mention of the air holes along the side of the show. Pointless during the winter season. The second pair have been comfortable and a joy to wear for my partner who wears them to work 5 days a week.”

“The products are invariably good quality and very well priced. However they do like in attach a rediculous number of labels. Years ago they were designed so they could be easily torn off, but the latest batch of skiwear I purchased contained labels that had to be cut out and left a sharp, scatchy stub. A very poor design feature and I cannot believe others have not commented up it.”

“After ordering my stuff and paying for it because I didn't collect within the required "5" days my stuff got sent back and I was refunded and had to start all over again. If I have paid for the order what difference does it make when I collect it?”

“Stores are good - use Edinburgh. Staff are good. Feel of the shop is relaxed. Quite often browse at lunch time - often with work colleagues. Stock levels are not always great - might struggle to get what I want in store. I often defer to the Web as result and collect from store. This service is also good - no hassle - have walked out of several other shops through frustration. Having collection goods at the till is good. Sports range is broader than it is deep, for example, cover lots of sports but range can be limited, for example, soccer clothes for my son is fairly limited - was looking for waterproof training suit. Similarly for cycle tyres - I purchased elsewhere as what I wanted was not stocked at decathlon - schwalbe durano plus - be good if there was more range available on the internet to supplement shops. Some Web sites provide much more general information on products than decathlon to help inform choice - could be improved. Not as sporty/active as I was - as I am getting older. Would probably buy more as quality/value is usually competitive. Often use the sales - older and meaner ;-) Hope this helps.”

“Most of the items I ordered were either much too big or much too small. The sizing was quite hard to gauge so unfortunately have to return items. For all the promo on the website about easy returns , 365 days etc I could not find any info about whether it was freepost or not. This is pretty standard for most companies & despite it not being clear on the website I've assumed I need to pay for the postage myself. I'm in Plymouth so no chance of returning for free in store.”

“I had a faulty part on a spinning bike that i purchased from the online store.So i took the part to my local store in southampton where a delightful young lady called Becky promptly ordered me a replacement and kept informed as to when the replacement part arrived.Top marks Decathlon on customer service.”
