“The advisor was supposed to be calling back with further details and failed to do so. The other advisor with whom I spoke provided different, contradictory information about the same policy. I then had to provide all the details about my (rented) house all over again, for some reason, even though I had provided this last year and nothing had changed. I had to take time out of work to sort it all out because of the failure to call me back when I was available. Then, despite explaining that I am moving house in a fortnight's time, I was not allowed to build this into my policy now and will have to pay another £40 admin fee for the privilege of having to go through the whole process again when I move. The advisor was not able to answer my queries about my insurance in plain, comprehensible English, although from what I did understand it seems that I'm probably not insured for the things that particularly matter to me, i.e. my musical instruments, which I will now have to insure separately or just take the risk of having them uninsured.”

“Aim4agreatquote would have made me happier if they had accepted groundwater flood cover. The last such occurrence was in 2002, and other companies, rejected for other reasons, have quoted an exemption after ten years. The application process was very laborious, with multiple documents and a verbal repetition of details given last time. In the past, the process of renewal has not involved this procedure with other companies. Many of these documents had to be printed out for my file, as I prefer to have physical documents. I had to print out about 20+ pages.”

“The service was efficient but I was a little surprised when I was charged a 0.5% surcharge for paying by debit card. There was no mention in the quote process of surcharges for debit or credit cards. All charges should be clearly spelled out in the process.”
