“Bought Swissstop brake pads for carbon didn’t last 200 miles. Never had issues with same pads for last 3 sets. I presume not genuine? Customer services don’t want to know. First and last purchase for me, Oh and took 2 weeks to turn up shocking don’t bother”
“They sent me a used expensive helmet. The case is live in PayPal, they are ignoring the issue. the photographs clearly shows scratches, marks, someone tried to rub off something and made it worse. A top of the range MET help cost £212. Are you kidding me. Avoid. And the paperwork doesn't match the cost and o got another £39 charge from VAT even though an email said it should be zero VAT. I wished i had checked the reviews first. They send used stuff because people wont go through the hassle of claiming back the VAT from HMRC, i know this now. I see why the are ignoring the PAYPAL case and waiting for me to post the helmet back and take further money from me for postage instead of agreeing in writing not to deduct further. A waste of 10 days.”
“BUY WITH CAUTION: Deporville have laid out their website to disguise the fact that UK customers are liable for Import VAT.
This cost me £45.85 on top of the £212 I paid for a Giro bike hemet.
When you get to checkout it even says "this is the total you pay"
However - tucked away is a vague piece of info about subject to taxes applying in the destination country.
Having seen the reassuring "this is all you pay" message, I foolishly thought that message was telling me not to worry about the small print.
What they are doing appears to be legal - but it is also deliberately misleading.
When communicating with them they were certainly prompt in the reply - "the information is on our website and you have no right of redress"”
“DO NOT USE IF IN UK!
An absolute nightmare of a company to deal with, which is not helped from them being in SPAIN!
I had to return an £80 pair of shoes. Depor Village do not offer any returns service, so you need to do this yourself. It cost £20 to send the return. I followed all the correct processes, attached all the correct paperwork and have photo's to prove it. My package got to Spain, but Depor Village refused to accept the return. The package was returned to me 2 months later without even being opened. Disgrace of a company!”
“I ordered gym equipment just over 2 months ago. It should have been here 2 months yesterday. DeporVillage have ignored emails, been rude, unresponsive and are telling me i cannot get a refund until i receive the goods and go to the effort of sending them back myself. It is impossible to contact them and have one person reply to you to sort the issue. They have just ignored this issue for months and i am nearly €200 out of pocket with no sign of my order ever arriving. Says there is tracking but when i follow the link there is no order to be found.”
“Claimed warranty after the bike kept falling apart - the tires broke on day 3, after two rides. The bike pedals crank were completely worn out. All I've heard was 'go to a bike shop'. Outrageous. And had to pay fees to get it shipped to the UK - which I wasn't informed prior to shopping (which I'd have of course taken into account). Terrible service and poorly assembled bikes. Avoid!”
“Terrible. Wouldn’t honour a warranty and tried to accuse me of inappropriate use of a pair of trainers. Also tried to blame this on the manufacturer and lied... avoid...”
“If you’re buying from the UK BEWARE.
You will need to pay Import VAT, customs and probably a ‘clearance’ fee.
To get delivery I need to pay £60 on a £250 order.
They are certainly not making this clear!”
“Disgrace Do Not Use this company, its a month now since my order and I have not recieved my items. I have been told the delivery company has lost my item but Deporvillage is refusing to offer a refund or a replacement product until the delivery company find out what happened this process could take up to another 10 business days. Meanwhile I am out of pocket and have no product or a refund which I have requested now twice and cannot buy the same product somewhere else because my money is still with kept by DeporVillage.”
“The boots I ordered did not fit, I read there size chart and ordered a bigger size. I paid £18 for delivery, they would not pay for returns and DHL wanted £42 “who deporvillage suggested. So I tried another and got it for £25.
So I rang and spoke to someone there and they just said the same thing over and over, no help, not bothered. Her name was Liberty in customer services. “about right”
So £43 spent and no boots and I am disgusted with them. Now I have started reading loads about them and so many bad reviews!”
“They did have a nice offer for inline skates I was interested in. After the arrival, I tried them on once to check the fit and although the show size was accurate the boots hurt my (perfectly normal) ankles and I decided, considering the high price, to return them at my own costs (since Deporvillage does not cover free returns). When they confirmed my retrun item they refused to accept the return since it was used once. The best part was this line in the email "You can get the item collected at your own expenses on the following address:
ESBO LOGÍSTICS – Deporvillage, Pol. Ind. Plans de la Sala LOGIBAGES, Nave 4, 08650 Sallent (Barcelona), Spain". After that, the customer service did not react to any of my emails. Normally such distributors have arrangements with the producers to ensure customer happiness but not Deporvillage.
In short, don't buy anything you may want to return! And for that matter buy somewhere else!”
“Avoid Deporvillage! I ordered an ebike online from their Spain location and received a damaged unrideable bike! I wrote them and they replied that since I didn't buy their assembly package using the DHL driver to assembly the 3 parts (handlebars, saddle post, and peddles), I must take the bike to a bike dealer and pay to fix the damaged front brake! The brake gear has nothing to do with the easy 3 part assembly. They advertise a 365-day return, but this is not true! I am easily stopping payment on my Visa card through the bank made to them. I have since read on Facebook many other complaints of poor customer service. Avoid this company. I will try to put them out of business!”
“Absolute Gangsters!!! I placed an order and when I realized it wouldn't fit I canceled the order half an hour later. The next day the notify me they have shipped my order and 3 days later notify me they cant cancel the order as it has been shipped already, I think fine ill just return the items when they arrive (most good company's like bike24 don't charge for return) but Depor charge €30 to return! Now here's the best bit, they are claiming they only got one item back (this is a lie!) and as a result are only refunding for one . So out of a total of €125 I am to receive only €39 for returned (unused) items. This is brazen theft pure and simple!!! The worst company I have ever dealt with, I don't understand how they are still doing business as I am not an isolated case. Buyer Beware!!!”
“YOU WILL PAY A LOT OF EXTRA FOR UK DELIVERY! PLEASE READ.
I ordered a Garmin Bike Computer.. All look liked it was going well.. Then nothing.. I kept checking and then noticed that my package was stuck in the Depot awaiting customs charges.. If I had known from the start then it would have been no problems.. The item only cost £324.00 & Delivery -£7.99 - Because the UK is out of the EU - you now have to be Customs & Excise Duties.. nothing said about this at all on their Website.. it cost me a further - £66.05 to get them to release the package from Parcelforce in the UK.. and all the hassle that comes with.. NIGHTMARE.. The need to update their website to show this information !!!!”
“Awful, hasn't arrived in over a month and aren't acknowledging my request for a refund even though they are now in breach of their terms and conditions”
“I was sent an item with a defect and tried to contact the customer support. They stopped replying, and the assistance is essentially non-existent. I was never able to get a replacement (this was a €250+ purchase)”
“This company is deceitful and passes on the cost of their mistakes to the customer. I was told I should send a product which they sent incorrectly (mens rather than women's running gloves), said they would refund me the shipping to post receiving the item (charge of 7.50). I did not receive the shipping and was told it was against their T&C's and was charged a 2.99 handling fee over and above the shipping expense I incurred. They are thieves!”
“- I received the purchased items broken, dirty and packed in an inappropriate packaging.
- The after-sales service is terrible: nobody answers the emails and nobody contacts you.
- Due to the above, I had to call the "customer service" service seven days after receiving the purchase. His answer offered no logical solution to my problem, lying and showing very little professionalism in trying to justify what happened. What do you understand by "response in 48h"?
- When a purchase becomes a nightmare and they treat you badly, it is not worth it.
- I'm still waiting for a solution ...”
