Messed up order despite proof being approved. Had to be chased for information and were most unhelpful and in no hurry to correct their mistake. Not a good experience. Website looks slick but don’t let looks deceive.

Ordered my sign on the 8th of January. It I left it two weeks to start to wonder where my sign was. Checked junk emails etc, nothing there. Rang them and eventually spoke to a rep. Who blamed Royal mail. Straight after this phone I had a confirmation email saying my sign had been processed ( so not sure how they could blame Royal mail ) it's now the 1st of Feb 2020 and still nothing to say it's been despatched or anything. After a bit of digging I find the reviews and they all seem to say the same thing. I'm now still trying to get hold of them to chase my order up. I could of gone to a guarry dug the slate up processed it and carved it quicker then these nuggets Shocking shocking company

DO NOT USE. I originally ordered this after calling and being told my sign could come within 3 days. It never arrived and I had to chase a bunch of times. Eventually I was told I was offered a refund, which I accepted yet was never confirmed. Apparently it was processed but I didn't get notice and thus didn't know. The sign came weeks after original order. Their customer service line usually doesn't pick up and most of my emails went unanswered. After I posted a review warning about their service, they called me until I picked up asking I change my review. Well, I am changing my review to say they both deliver exceptionally late and then harass you if you complain.

I ordered a sign as a Christmas present and never received it. I couldn't get hold of anyone on the telephone number and could only therefore speak to someone on web chat, who assured me that the sign had been processed and sent via Royal Mail. It never arrived, they said a second sign had been sent out, it never arrived. My account always said 'in production'. In the end I had to chase twice for a refund as still no sign of a sign. Terrible experience.

Possibly the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. Completely incompetent in every aspect. Delays with signs, a complete disregard for my design. I’ve had to chase and chase and chase. They were quick to take my money and that seems to be the only thing they can handle in any time frame...

Ordered with this company online, sometimes when its too easy; the problems reveal themselves later on, slow customer communication and then delivery times that were weeks beyond their given deadlines. Stupidly used the same company for other work, only to then recieve the goods with a poor substandard finish and unusuable for a corporate environment. Would stay clear unless you want something cheap and cheerful as a gift. Regrets.x

Pretty awful customer service and haven’t received it yet. I have ordered it on November. They stopped replying the email now and I am thinking to file dispute with credit card. Beware of this company.

Ordered in December, still hasn't arrived. Nobody answers the phone. Eventually got an email saying it should arrive last Thursday. Haven't heard since. Be AWARE.

Horrendously over priced for product supplied, the wood sign just looked like a 4x4 piece of left over workshop wood. It wasn't treated or have a nice finish and the edges were not sanded, it was damaged on the corner on receiving too (not packaged properly with no bubble wrap). I asked for a replacement and receiving in bubble wrap was the only difference, the product was exactly the same as the first one. Overall very disappointed in this and wasted a lot of money as I had to purchase another from elsewhere. I also received someone else's order a few weeks later out of the blue, on opening it, it was a slate sign obviously for someone else and cracked too. So someone else did not receive their order it seems. Avoid

Not even worth one star. Design a sign are liars and worse still incapable of providing basic service: customer pays for product, customer receives paid for product. I ordered my sign in November it still has not arrived. After contacting the company on several occasions they consistently replied with ‘your sign is with Royal Mail please allow delivery this week’. I have now requested a refund & am anticipating an equally false excuse. Seriously don’t waste your life or your money, Design a sign you are sh*te!

I ordered a sign over two weeks ago now and it still hasn’t arrived. Therefore I cannot comment on the quality of it. It was meant to be a gift to someone but didn’t arrive on time despite calling the company twice

Appalling company, who can not tell the truth, do not follow up with refunds, and use terrible carriers. After paying for 48 hour service on 29th November, I got a message to say the sign would be dispatched 11 days later. Wrote an email back to help which was never answered. Used live chat for help and told that email was auto-generated, and that they has already dispatched the item. Called up a week later, and they said the courier (ATP) had held the item because it was a busy time of year, but that it would be there later in the week (3 days later). Asked for 48 hour dispatch fee to be refunded, which the operator cheerfully said would come back. 2 weeks later and that refund was never made (bank confirms it is not pending). Nothing delivered by that Friday. Courier got in touch 2 weeks later, to say they had it but someone would have to be in all day (no time slots = cheap service even though postage is £14.95 for a 10kg item). Courier then did not deliver even though I had people in all day waiting for it. Courier flatly deny they had it until a day before, and also unapologetic about not delivering on the day promised (chased up delivery 3 times on that day and told it was on the van). Called at 5pm on 20th December (this was originally order 48 hour special dispatch on 29th November) to get a recorded message saying they were away for Christmas and New Year, back 2nd January. The service is terrible, but being lied to about the email being autogenerated, then the refund and now they are closed early after only dispatching an order the day before 18 days late. I told the courier to send it back and with tell the bank to get this back. Being lied to is just not on. Being told to stay in all day and into the night by the courier who's hub is 10 miles from my house and then not getting here is outrageous. Taking the entirety of December to not fulfil an order "because it is a busy time of year" in this day and age is crazy. I have gone to my local ironmonger, and they will get me a sign for my gate in 5 days, should have done that in the first place.

I ordered my sign on the 3.12.2019, received an email to state order completed on the 10th, then another email asking for feedback on the 15th, still no delivery , telephoned on the 16th to query my order and told there was a delay with the Royal Mail , 19th still awaiting delivery, not impressed !

I bought a slate sign with my house name on it but I discovered a week or so after putting it up that the letters were almost completely gone and the sign was completely illegible. Naturally, I took a picture and sent it to Design A Sign who told me that it was because it had got wet when it rained and when I pointed out that it rains most of the time in rural Scotland I heard nothing back so I had to take the sign down and hand paint it myself. Useless product and useless after-sales.

❌ DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! ❌ Placed an order on 5/11 for a sign ... 26/11 still no sign. I emailed them asking where it was, they said the courier lost it and they would send a new one. 6/12 still no sign. I emailed again. They said the courier lost it. Again. They said they would made me a new one. Again. Judging by trust-pilot reviews, It would seem it’s a trait of theirs “lying” to their customers. Still got no sign off them. Requested an immediate refund. This company will just blame the courier for loosing your sign, when the truth is they just never made it in the first place, and they don’t intend on making it. They should be shut down! Daylight robbery! Trust me when I say, take your custom elsewhere! Stay away! I had a different sign made by a different company that was with me in 48hrs. Design a sign are a total shambles!
