Hi Donna, Thanks for your review, I'm sorry you are not happier. A few things looking at your ad, you definitely need to add more images for your ad, we've already tried to help you here. You have not selected to display your phone number, so people can only message you, and you have gotten 1 message so far. Your ad has been seen 600 times since it was published. Please contact us for more help with this.

Hi Kieran Thanks for you review, I’m sorry you are not happier. Your ad has been seen over 500 times since it was published 4 days ago. Looking at the ad you could put in a few more picture of the 2 pups that might help. The price for the dogs is also the highest in the Staffordshire Bull Terrier category so this might also be an issue.

Taught it very poor as I have one dog and she had 6 puppies and my add was stopped going up for over 2 week and had to bring out vet which 100 onto me and to feed puppies longer as people could have seen them and bought them

Hi Gary Thanks for your review and I'm sorry you are not happier with the experience. The law you are referrring to (S.I. No. 681 of 2019 – ANIMAL HEALTH AND WELFARE (SALE OR SUPPLY OF PET ANIMALS) REGULATIONS 2019) stipulates if you sell or supply 6 or more dogs in a year you are legally required to register with the Department of Agriculture. This is something beyond our control. If you have any feedback about this law you can contact petsalesregister@agriculture.gov.ie, or call the Department directly on 01 607 2862 (open 9am-4pm Monday to Friday).

Far too expensive to post an ad. Lots of hoops to jump through before you're allowed to post the ad. I could go on more, but to make my review short - I just simply have not had a good experience using this site.

Hi Anon Thanks for your review. I’m sorry you didn’t have a better experience. Prices for ads are upfront before you post, so there shouldn’t be any surprises. As we don’t know what other issue you are relating to, here are some general points: we verify accounts by email and sms to cut down on scammers using our site. The rules on having microchip numbers are legal requirements in Ireland. The other ad requirements are mainly there to help you create a great advert to sell your dogs.

It was far too complex to advertise on dogs.ie. It was only two weeks after I tried to advertise that someone helped me to get my ad on and at this stage the puppies were older than when I wanted to advertise them. It is also far too expensive. I was unaware that a boost also cost so much. I sold no dogs on it. Very disappointing.

Hi Lorraine Thank you for your review. There were 2 reasons we couldn't publish your ad straight away, neither of them were on our side. And at the time we explained both, but here they are to be clear: 1) as you had 8 dogs to sell you needed to register with the Department of Agriculture, this note is also mentioned on the terms and conditions of the website 2) by law all dogs need to be microchipped and registered before they can be advertised. This is also stated in our terms and conditions. Currently we have over 50 ads for Golden Retrievers, so competition between breeders is high. Despite that your ad has been viewed over 600 times since it was posted. Ad prices are clear before you pay for the ad, so there shouldn't really be any surprises about the cost. We hope you start to get interest for your dogs soon.

Hi Erin Thanks for your review and I’m sorry you are not happier. Looking at your latest ad, I feel like better pictures will help you some more. You can upload up to 10. Photos of the dogs in a well lit room , playing with a toy may work better. Sales of puppies do slow down after Christmas. Hopefully you will get some interest in the coming days.

Hi Ian Thanks for your review and I’m sorry you have not had better successs at selling your litter. Looking at your ad, it has been seen over 300 times so far. We do have have quite a few other frenchy ads at the moment (38) so there is a fair bit of competition between sellers. You could try to lower the prices (you’d are a bit on the high end) to see if that helps.

€50 is expensive to pay for a 3-week advert, especially when you don't get a sale. I'd be happy to pay it if I sold the dog.

Hi Paul Thanks for your review. Ads are live for 30 days, not 21. If you need longer please let us know when your ad is nearing expiry. Your ad has only been live for 6 days. Looking at your ad, dogs over 1 year old age are harder to sell, and dogs in the €1000 are also more difficult to sell too, even with a pedigree. For example your dog when listed for the first time as a puppy it was listed at €800.

Despite reducing the price I have not had any enquiries about the pups. Very disappointing as it cost so much to advertise them on this site

Not one call or text at all, €50 would have been better spent on puppy food.

Hi Rachel, Thanks for taking the time to leave a review, and I'm sorry you are not happier with things. Looking at your ad, I'd definitely recommend taking some better / clearer pictures of your puppy. The images uploaded look a little grainy. Also I believe that the price you've set for the dog is also a major deterrent to some people contacting, even for a pedigree dog. Do let me know if we can help you get more interest.

Hi Anon Thanks for your review and I’m sorry you are not happier. Looking at your account we did help with adding videos to your ad. The price your set for your dogs is a good bit higher than the other 12 dog ads in the breed category. Despite their pedigree, this could be an issue with the lack of interest.

Hi Anon, Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. Looking at your ad for your Jack Russells, your ad would appear to be in the higher end of the price range. You could update your ad price from fixed to negotiable if you are flexible on the pricing. There are 35 other ads currently, so there are quite a few dogs from this breed available. Your ad has been seen almost 500 times in the past 5 days. One idea could be to include a phone number, rather than just using the messaging system.

Add is expensive and the market has collapsed 50 euro and puppy’s selling for small money Micro chip them and vaccinate only person making money is dogs.ie at approximately 30k in adds in a 3 week turnaround

Hi Marian, Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. This is your 5th ad with us in about 2 years, so we are really surprised that you are unhappy and you continue to advertise. Prices for ads are upfront before you place them, so there shouldn't be any surprises. As you've been such a local customer I've arranged a refund. We even list 15 alternative websites here https://help.dogs.ie/knowledge-base/selling-your-dog/#alternative-online-platforms-to-dogs-ie

Hi Weronika, Thanks for your review. The ad has been seen over 400 times since it was published. The ad price is listed on the higher end of prices for Yorkies at the moment. Also the IKC registration is still pending, perhaps once this is processed it will help your ad stand out a bit more.

Hi Karla Thanks for your review, we’re sorry you are not entirely happy. Looking at your ad, I’d recommend you upload more images. You can add up to 10 in there. I would also think the price point may be too high for people. For non-pedigree dogs €2000 might be outside what a buyer is prepared to pay. Your ad has been seen almost 800 times.

Hi Shane I’m sorry you are not happier with your ad. Your ad has been seen almost 500 times since it was published. You did receive two enquiries via our messaging system. Please check them out. Looking at your ad you don’t have a phone listed publicly, you can add that to make it easier for people to contact you. Info here https://help.dogs.ie/knowledge-base/phone-number-in-ads/
