Thank you for your review Morgan. Generally it’s a good idea to contact support to help with your issues rather than a review.
Yes, you can edit the price and the ad title, as well as the images.
We have had to lock the description / breed & microchip information on ads, as people were selling multiple dogs from the same ad and the information required by law was no longer accurate.
If you let me know what you'd like changed I can edit it for you. Please email support@dogs.ie
“In two weeks five puppies were sold, had to bump up add twice and lower price 50%. It is quite expensive so only worth for puppies that have pedigree as with the cost of vaccines, tablets to worm and food not much profit left if at all. This web is providing good selling platform but is costly”
Hi Lydia
Thanks for your review. Our prices are up front before you place an ad, so to suggest robbery is plain insulting.
We feel this is a fair price to find buyers for your €3000+ of puppies. Your ad has been seen over 300 times in the past 4 days. You could consider adding more in for about the pups, different photos or lowering the price.
Hopefully you will get some calls soon.
“I find the site good and it's easy to navigate. Only downfall is that you can't edit all parts of your advert once it's posted and it is a little pricey. But all in all, I do recommend the site”
Hi Chris,
I'm sorry you are not happier about your ad. Can you upload some more photos to show off your beautiful pups ? You can upload up to 10 images.
Dogs over the €1000 mark are currently selling a lot slower than other dogs, especially for non-pedigree puppies. It also appears that your dog may be in the wrong category, please contact us to confirm the breed info .
“I got some genuine enquiries from my advertisement. I was please with follow up. Someone was taking note. Some very suspect enquiries from other sites. I feel dog.ie are safer and would use them again.”
Hi Marie,
Looking at your ad it does seem that someone had reached out, and planned to visit you this weekend, so we are a bit confused here. You have not activated the display of your phone number in your ad, so this would be why you didn't get any calls, as your number isn't public.
Please reply and we can try to help you.
“The category are not properly advertised. The filetees not clear enough. There should be more categories examples separate one for puppies or older dogs.”
Hi Christina
Thanks for your review.
I’m not following about the filters. Did you want a way to filter all puppies under X months ? Currently you can select 0-3, 3-6 , 6-24 and over 24 months for the ages. We do have sister sites like puppies.ie and adultdogs.ie that show selections of certain aged dogs too.
“The site is easy to use and we got a buyer for our dog in only a few hours. The lady who bought him, was lovely and I could tell he was going to a good home. The only downside is the cost. Its €50 to advertise, which is extremely expensive.”
“Thanks to dogs.ie all my puppies found great homes and I have recommended my sister use this site to sell her beautiful Jack Russell miniature puppies”
Hi Anon
Thanks for your review and I’m sorry you are not happier with the experience.
I see you’ve advertised before and the prices have been the same the whole time. The prices and terms are upfront and haven’t changed since then. You don’t need to bump the ad if you’ve received enough interest, I see your ad has been seen over 500 times since it was published 4 days ago.
