Hi Geraldine, thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I’m sorry to hear that you haven’t had the results you were hoping for with your ads.
In your current ad you state that you'd like the two pups to go together. This may one of the issues, there is a lot of information around litter mate syndrome, and it's mostly not recommended to buy two pups from the same litter as they can be co-dependant. I've updated the ad there a little, to put it in the Doodle section, and to add a bit about Airedales, as many people may not be familiar with the breed.
We understand that advertising can feel like a gamble sometimes. I'd encourage you to reach out to us at support@dogs.ie, and we can review your ads together to see if there are ways to enhance their exposure.
Thanks for taking the time to leave a review Claire.
By default the description box is locked when the ad is published. We had to lock the description / breed & microchip information on ads, as people were selling multiple dogs from the same ad.
Please reply to this message and we can help you with the description.

“There was an ommission as you didn't marry up my dafm cert when I placed ad on Friday so I wasn't aware it wasn't live until Sunday pm.
Usually very good though, and staff are very helpful.
Thank you”
Hi Anon,
Apologies about the confusion.
Some good news, we do have a Terrier section. We have updated your ad and put it in here https://dogs.ie/sale/terrier
Please reach out to support@dogs.ie if you have any other questions
“Yes. Good experience. Dogs sold in record time as expected. All round great result!! Small bit disappointed in the fact that dogs chips must be live for Ad to progress or gain introductions to potential puppy owners.”
Thanks for the review Anon. I'm glad they all found homes in record times.
To legally advertise a dog for sale, all dogs need to be microchipped and fully registered in an Irish database. So this is something that's outside our control I'm afraid.
“I have found admin staff very helpful and checked my details well as I had a typo in error and we got it resolved.
I would like dogs.ie to go further in making potential buyers more aware of what it means to buy a puppy it dog. I know I have learned a tremendous amount in the last 2 weeks and realised very quickly, I was not ready for that level of responsibility but took it upon myself to ensure my puppy went to the best home ( a doggie day care with lots of other puppies and that person had lots of experience with my breed and could groom and give all the love and affection Bella needed). It never was about making a profit at all but ensuring Bella was well taken care of and all her needs met was paramount.. we are very sad we had to make this very hard decision but Bella came first before anyone else.
I wish more people had to prove them selves more responsible before buying and more responsibility of sellers also… I was trying to my due diligence in sellers and suitable breeds I wish others would also try as hard or even much more. These puppies and dogs deserve so much more
Sincerely”
Thanks for your honest review Anon, and I'm so glad we helped find a new home for Bella. We do offer a number of resources for dog owners, like a 100+ page free ebook ad dogs.ie/book and under each ad we have tips for new owners to help them be prepared for their new puppy. We will take your points into consideration. Thank you.
