“I was pleased with the product. It took about 30 minutes to install on each of the 3 doors. Having rehabilitated old homes for resell in the past, I can tell you, it was easy for a thief to kick in a door held shut with one inch screws even with a dead bolt, also held in with one inch screws. People need this upgrade on each door, then add steel storm doors and aluminum window shutters if you can afford it.”

“I consider myself an expert on forcible entry being a breacher on a SWAT team for 16yrs. Armor concepts reinforced door hardware is outstanding and the customer service is second to none. I highly recommend this product. I personally have their product installed on all of my exterior doors.”

“Easy to install. Appears to make your door very safe and secure. My only issue is that it creates an air gap where cold can get in (even with door insulation in place).”

It is a thicker piece of weather stripping to help you solve this issue. We sell this on our site, or you can find it at many door distributors. “Purchased 2 security kits, but they didn't fit, I didn't have enough clearance, went on line and filled out return instructions and received return shipping label right away. Except for a small hiccup from the shipping department everything went smoothly and received my money in a couple days after they received the returns. I would not hesitate to purchase from them in the future. Thanks Alan”

“A quality product for sure. I feel it achieved all of the things that I was looking for in securing my front door. The installation can require more then stated in the instructions. My door hinges have an out facing tab on them so in order to shut the door I had to do a slight but timely modification to the Hinge Shields while maintaining it's integrity. I would definately recommend this product.”

“Easy to install and very sturdy. Shipping was an issue one of the packages arrive bent, I was able to straighten it out and it appears to be ok. May I suggest a warning on the instructions to avoid covering any alarm system connections. I accidently covered the close door button and disabled my alarm system. I was able to recover by drilling a hole in the Jam Shield. Thanks for this great product.”

“I regret buying three of these. I did the “2-quarter” thickness test before purchasing and I still had problems with all three doors. I had to grind these things down -and I still was unable to install all of the parts. In short, I had to leave each door to some degree half-complete and they do not operate as smooth as they did before installation. The installation of this product does not allow proper opening,closing and/or locking of my doors”

“What I received is not what I ordered. I ordered the Pro Series because I have minimal clearance. Hinge Protection and Prying Protection were not available to include on this item The Packing List says I received MINI Comboe Sets including Door Jamb Shield and 2 MINI Door Shields plus painted screws (1 white set and 1 bronze set). I do not believe I received MINI Door Shields as the 2 in each kit are the wrap around style. The packing list also includes 4 ea. Bronze Pry Protection Kits. Obviously that will not work on the white door. I held the Door Jamb Plate in place and tried to close the door, but it will not close due to interference with the Jamb Plate. Help!!”

“Bought the armor pro lock sidelight kit. I followed the directions in the installation videos and that really helped. At first I thought I would have to chisel some of my door frame off because I didn't have a lot of clearance where the strike plate goes. But installing the hinge guards first with 3.5 inch screws pulled the door enough to create clearance on the lock side. Everything went in pretty easy. Only complaint I have are the screws that are provided had a square in the head which kept trying to strip because the driver bit is too soft and started becoming round. Luckily I had just made a trip to the hardware store and picked up a box of 3.5 screws with star torx heads and used those as they were stronger and didn't slip on me. Those type of screws should be provided in the kits, not those square head ones that suck. Thank you for the kit!”

“only issue is you pay slightly more for colors but the screws aren't color matched. also would prefer square drive or star screws as they are not as easy to tear up as Phillips head. quick ship, as promised.”
