Online delivery service used to be brilliant but is awful now. Items missing from delivery every week, this week my husband noticed there was loads of items missing including large items like trays of fizzy drinks, he asked the delivery guy was any more shopping in the van and the driver said no. My husband asked to get in the van to check and saw that the delivery guy had loads of our stuff in the van in another crate and wasn’t going to give it to my husband even though the shopping had my name on it, because another sticker was a different number to my delivery. He eventually gave my husband the shopping after my husband insisting and clearly pointing it out and showing him the mistake. I’m not sure was the driver thinking of keeping the shopping for himself or was this a genuine mistake. Maybe he did think it was for the next house but I’m not sure. So we would have had much more shopping missing if my husband hadn’t got in the van to check. Emailed customer service, who said sorry we’ll pass this on. Got a refund for 3 items missing but no follow up on what’s been happening. Giving up on using the online shopping now, even though it was so handy when I work long hours. Now I spend time emailing them all the time trying to get my money back and last week they only refunded me for 3 out of 4 items and I had to email again asking for the other amount despite listing out items and prices and the total. One thing I’d advise is check your shopping against your receipt every week as it’s often the case you’ll be missing items.

I recently tried Dunnes online deliveries. I would not recommend it after 2 tries and 2 separate problems later. For the past 2 years we used Tesco delivery and decided to try Dunnes to make use of the vouchers but unfortunately this was not worth the changeover. Dunnes pickers don't attempt to substitute items at all, they just don't deliver them. This is particularly annoying when you've ordered something as part of a deal, not only will you not get your items but you'll also get charged more for the items that you ordered as part of a deal that you won't now get. In addition, we ordered products to ensure we got 3 vouchers applied. However because of the unavailability of an item, we didn't get to the 150euro value (as the pickers didn't substitute, instead just left it out despite noting on the order that substitutions are ok) therefore we end up actually not getting the last 10 euro voucher applied and getting charged more for the order with less items than ordered. Customer service rep Chase is not at all helpful and basically told me it's not their problem. Really just don't waste your time. It's the most frustrating experience and takes all the good out of online ordering your groceries.

Dunnes stores in Knocknacarra has the most unprofessional staff I ever seen. Only from my today's experience. 2women staff were loudly gossipping about a 3rd member that has recently moved from another store and that in that store everything is done properly so now this is creating problems for them (got forbidd they have to do their work now), young students (staff) at the till this evening, I scanned the wrong barcode by mistake at the self checkout and needed someone to remove it for me, all seemed to be on their break, scanning their own products (which is absolutely fine) but they were all looking at me snickering while I was looking around and there was no one to help bar those 3 young members of staff on their break. Managers (men) sitting around chatting and laughing loudly blocking access to products and you have to navigate your way around them because they won't move. The deli staff is your only credit, the girl at the back that worked yesterday at the till (near the coffee machines) was amazing and so kind, the lady with dark red hair also kind and always with a kind smile on her face. Also feel bad for staff having to work around customers on busy days like the weekends having to stock up shelves, you need to find a better solution because it creates a stressful environment for both staff and customers. Maybe some re-training on customer service would benefit everyone including management

This is the worst possible option when it comes to delivery service! There will ALWAYS be items missing from your order, they will NEVER contact you to discuss (even though you select that option) almost as they avoid you reaching the bracket for your voucher and fu*** you up! The availability of the products it false, they employ the most incapable people in the whole country!

Had delivery this morning and out of 5lr water. Having trouble getting it lately and mentioned it to James Delivery driver. He enquired if we had any water as I explained we are having problems with brown water. He went back to his van and gave us water and said he would replace it himself. We know James from our deliveries and he is one of the kindest and helpful people and it’s a pleasure every time he calls with our groceries. THANK YOU JAMES YOU ARE ONE IN A MILLION👏👏👏

On Sunday 4th Aug. Purchased raw salmon darnes & raw chicken pieces to use ina stir fry, both in date. They were put into the fridge to use next day, when I opened the packs they both stunk of going off meat.... This is not good enough at all, to be charged full price for gone off meat that could make a person very sick.... This is not the 1st time this has happened, it happens alot with their fruit with mold on it next day after paying full price for supposedly fresh. No wonder they can afford to be constantly refurbishing their stores to make it all look so glamorous while fleecing the people😒. A lot of greed here & not enough thought for the customer at all...

Dunnes, please change your app. It's impossible to navigate, especially for elderly people. I've downloaded the app for my mother (in her 80's). When she opens it, the first screen is still prompting her to download it (which is so confusing). Then, in order to be scanned at the checkout, she has to navigate through the app and enter a further combination of email address! At a checkout! With people behind her! And no mechanism to save this combination. I'm really shocked.at how bad it is in these days of user experience etc. Thanks.

A few days ago i was in the timepiece coffee shop in dunnes stores in castlebar. I was served by a girl with short dark hair and glasses. I'm sorry to say but she was very rude and obnoxious and made me feel like I was putting her out by asking for some food. I ordered some chips and she told me she would bring them down to me at the table. I sat down and I waited I looked up at the counter and I saw her putting my chips on a plate and eating one or two of them before bringing them down to me. I couldn't believe what I was actually seeing also when she brought down my order I could get a strong smell of alcohol from her and this was in the afternoon. I'm sorry but I won't be going to this restaurant again if staff are eating from customers plates and smelling of drink. Very unprofessional

I have been doing weekly online grocery shop from cornelscourt since November 2023, at the start I was very impressed with the quality and the picker sticking to my list, the delivery staff have alway been extremely helpful and friendly and consistent on delivery time. However the last 6 weeks I have noticed the complete and utterly disregard for picking what was on my list. The person picking my shopping clearly couldn't careless what I had taken my time to write on my order. then each time I contacted customer service about these issues they pawned it off as it was a my fault issues. Having clearly written substitute with.. I was told I had to tick the box, so the following week I do that giving my alternative again, this time I was told alternative had to be from same aisle, following week I amend my order to follow their "rules" and still get stuff I hadn't asked for the next week I did the same and wrote only substitute from my listed products.. again falling on deaf ears and getting random stuff put in. Then last night I had 3 alternatives on some items and they picked none.. I find it hard to believe such a big shop with be out of all 3 options of main brand sausages along with other items and then they put in a drink I didn't even order nor did they highlight that they substituted it. Zero response from customer service who said they passed it onto cornelscourt online grocery manager. They also never notify you of items returned like most places do when you send something you didn't order back. As a result of their lack in customer care I will no longer order from their online grocery platform. Both Supervalu & Tesco offer a fast superior online customer service and read ones order.

In Dunnes Stores in Terryland, Galway, I was so impressed with the shop assistant that helped me find an item of clothing, I had previously bought this item and couldn't find it in the underwear department, she was so helpful, smiled and found what I was looking for. Customer service at it's best from this lady. I didn't get her name but wish I did. Thank you.

When did Dunnes change the use by date of their grocery vouchers. I went to do my shopping today after a huge spend on 4/2/24, thinking I had €50 in vouchers (with a spend of €2’00 & €50)) when I looked at my app there were no vouchers available. I phoned the Beacon only to be told it changed months ago, from the most apathetic customer service rep. She could not have cared less about my complaint. Things are expensive enough without this rip-off attitude from Dunnes Stores. I think they are getting very complacent about their customer satisfaction.

Worst online shopping experience ever. Their click and collect shopping is absolute rubbish. You can't pay with gift card even though they know the balance left on it without having your credit or debit card first charged for the full amount of the order. Customer support tells lies, says this is outlined in the FAQs but it isn't. The FAQs also fail to mention that €5 off €25 vouchers are not honoured for click and collect. According to Dunnes customer support this omission makes it obvious they are not honoured, but this is mentioned absolutely nowhere on the site or FAQs. Customer support also very unhelpful and negative, escalating customer frustration with negative or smart comments and lies rather than trying to appease. I have lost two hours trying to put in an order and pay for it now. I will be taking my business way from Dunnes stores once my gift cards are used up, even though I had been a happy shop customer for many years until now.

Afternoon I bought a 300 Euro gift voucher today in Dunnes Stephens Green. I enquired about an envelope as I purchased it as a gift and got a sort of dismissive ( as I experienced it ) response of no sorry as the staff member turned away from me and was also engaging with other staff. I have purchases cards in other Dunnes Stores and they came with suitable envelopes. Bernadette
