I changed from Tesco online shopping to Dunnes stores online shopping a few months ago as Dunnes give the 10 euro off every 50 euro spend. Even with the 10 euro off and the very pleasant & helpful delivery staff I wld not recommend changing from Tesco to Dunnes online for the following reasons. (1) I have had meat delivered with best before date same as delivery date!! (2) I have been charged for items which I ordered but were not delivered and a promise of next day delivery instead wasn't honoured . (3) They are regularly out of stock on products and this you will not know until delivery arrives, if you chose a substitution and it is more expensive they will charge u the difference where Tesco match the price of product ordered. (4) On ringing customer service with issue of non delivery of pd for goods I got the impression they were well used of hearing same and just gave std response, they were polite and apologetic but didn't deliver on promise to deliver items the following day, I emailed them also on 2 occasions and got no response so over all disappointed, Tesco is more expensive but much more reliable.

I ordered products online for the first time last week. It was delivered on time by a very nice man on Saturday evening. Unfortunately the delivery was missing 6 bottles of Faustino 1 wine. The delivery man told me the outstanding bottles would be delivered the following day. Four days later, three emails later, two unanswered phone calls later, I haven’t heard a thing from Dunnes. Very very disappointing.

Brought back a pair of trousers which were faulty label still attached they cost £17 but when I was packing for my holiday I discovered there was nothing to keep zip up ie fastener or hook . The young man at the counter was very polite he said they’d been reduced to £3 in sale but there were none left . I hadn’t kept my receipt but was able to show transaction on my account he took the item away to speak to the manager who said the same as the assistant had said I asked to see him/her but was told that was the final answer hadn’t the decency to come and speak to me. I always assumed if goods are faulty and returned as sold the store should refund amount paid.

Was in the store in Liffey valley today ,I had to get the staff members to change something as they made a mistake when I approached the staff member Isabell to help she was unhelpful rude ,huffing and puffing and taking the items out of the bag and slamming them onto the counter then another staff member came up named Sharron and was unhelpful and rude also when we told her the situation she accused me of being wrong then when she realised I was in the right she blamed Isabell as she said she was new and didn’t know what she was doing and she obviously didn’t put it through the till right is what she said. They resolved the issue but the service was unbelievable.

If I could give 0 I would. We ordered grocery online, the driver called us to open the gate what we did straight away. By the time we went outside to the gate to meet him, what took as 2 minutes he wasn't there. When we texted him we got a very very rude reply. Disgusting how we got treated, and we don't understand why. I'll make sure to tell my experience to everyone and to never buy anything from them ever again.

Shopped today in Dunnes in Knocknacarra in Galway, I just could not believe how helpful Vicky the young lady who served us was. I purchased my clothes and asked about a top I liked but they did not have my size. She rang around the other shops and we decided we would try another store. I mentioned I would be grocery shopping next, Vicky appeared with the top, it had just come in. That's what I called service, and all delivered with a smile. She made my day.

Had a bad experience in Dunnes Stores Swords when attempting to return rugs. They were quite heavy and I had lifted them up to the register (all one now- no separate desk to return) I had lost my receipt with all the mass of xmas shopping completed but had bought the items on a dunnes gift card from work. They would not return to the gift card, could not give me a voucher. I needed to walk around the store with my rugs and pick at the same value or above there and then, or just bring my rugs home. As I did not need or wish to waste €70 just like that, I asked could I buy wine to the value. The answer was a flat no. Even though it does not say on the receipt you cannot return for food or wine value-"that it the rule" according to management. Would like to know who devises these very uncooperative and unfriendly rules that deliberately forces someone to carry two heavy rugs around the store desperately searching for €70 worth of unneeded expenditure during covid? Have they no sense of priority here!

Hi I attended the Tralee Store today and met with a girl called Shauna Dowling. I was looking for a boys jumper, they didn't have it in their store. She went to check the Horan centre store and it wasn't there so she rang the Killarney store for me and they are holding it for me. Honestly I have never met a staff member that was so helpful and friendly.

I made several purchases online with Dunnes Stores and I have to say I am very impressed- items arrived quickly, well packaged and correct- anything that needed to be returned was refunded promptly. There are no free returns by post or courier but that is not surprising, I used the An Post returns service and was pleasantly surprised that it was collected from my home- much easier than going to the post office. You can of course return items to your nearest store free of charge but due to the ongoing situation with COVID-19 I prefer to avoid people. The only issue I had was the massive discrepancy on sizes between their regular range and the Savida range, a ladies xxl in the regular range fits a generous size 22-24 but the Savida xxl would be at most an 18-20 if you are lucky. Us larger ladies like stylish colourful things too! Have to say will definitely buy online again.

Items arrived broken and all wet due to damage to packaging. Very disappointed Would not buy from them again. Offered I send them back for free but could not replace them as no longer in stock. Box was destroyed and binned immediately and needed them (reason they were bought) . Overall terrible experience with them

In a time when small and medium businesses have followed government guidelines and closed their stores and their click and collect, turning away profits and some may never reopen their doors. Dunnes think they are above the rules and are cashing in on the misfortune of SME businesses and the many many people who have died / suffered - just to increase their profit on whats already been a bumper year for them. Sad to see. As someone who likes to support Irish companies but Dunnes have proven they don't respect those that have given up so much to stay at home and prevent the Spread of Covid. I for one will be taking my weekly shop else where - We need to speak with our wallets since they haven't listened to the government, the peoples will, or the legislation.

Order was placed and payed when 5 items were still in stock The day after, I received a mail stating that the order was cancelled because out of stock. On top of that, the money would be refunded between 5 and 7 days. This lead me to think they push the customer to pay for order knowing they will have to cancel, and invest the due money during the time of the refund. "“Better Value” to its customers, the people of Ireland." ... Better value for who ? Dunnes Store : yes ! Thank you very much Awful service.

I placed an order with Dunnes online. They left me short one item which was part of a set. I was told to return items with DPD or bring them to a store for a refund, that it was safe to do so during level 5 lockdown. I sent them back with DPD. After Items were returned, they ignored my many email requests for my refund. Dunnes only answered me weeks later when I raised a dispute via PayPal. Dunnes asked me to close the dispute so they could refund me. Paypal advised not, as I would lose my protection. Basically, Dunnes mucked up my order and ignored several emails until I took it a step further and they had no choice. No apology and Paypal gave me the refund in my favor. I see this kind of thing happens a lot with Dunnes. Customer service there is ridiculous. Jawdropping tbh.

I shop in Blanchardstown. Since the revamp in the store and the new shopping trolleys are a problem. For the past 3 weeks everytime I shop I cant get the 2 Euro back from the trolley. Either the trolley returns are jammed up or trolleys from other shops are blocking Dunnes trolley return sections. This means I have to leave 2 Euro behind every week.Im an old age pensioner and think this should be looked into.I know I will be .
