Crooks, avoid them like the plague or report them to trading standards if you have been a victim of their scam!

Firstly if I could give no stars, I would. How do they sleep at night? I'm still struggling to get a refund but so far, nothing. I have sent emails to the press about them. But from reading all the complaints to trading Standards, Police Fraud Dept and the Press, they are still getting away with it. It's downright theft. My next step is Social Media to warn everyone. SCUM is what they are. Wait till their parents ge fleeced, ha ha. Sons or Daughters to be proud of I don't think so. SCUM

Dont ever deal with Easylife, after a cold call my 84 year old wife found she had joined The Rewards Club, The Motoring Club and the Puzzle Book club without any idea that she had agreed to anything and money was taken from my credit card used for a purchase last summer. As the card was in my sole name they had no authority to take any money and it has all now been refunded. The only way to stop these scammers using your card is to demand under section 47 of the data protection Act 2018 that they stop processing your data including details of your credit card for marketing purposes and remove all data from their records. Also register your telephone under the Telephone Preference Service which should make it illegal to make cold calls to it. Hopefully these two steps should make it possible to take legal action should they ever dare to call again.

Easylife may be operated out of the UK but appears the ownership is in Cyprus. Cyprus is to be avoided at all costs in any financial sense. I would have thought the Financial Conduct Authority should be interested in a situation where you have to opt out of something which you never opted into in the first place, to avoid having money drawn from a card which one did not save with the seller.

Took 2 payments from my bank account, thankfully my bank stopped a 3rd one. Payments were for The Reward Club memberships I had never received paperwork for. Had to opt out if I did not want to join. Easylife had used my card details to take the payments, card details they had kept for a year. Easylife sell products for the elderly & disabled so you think they are a trustworthy, caring company but they are not, they prey on the fact you won't check your bank account for unauthorised transactions.

Something has to be done about this evil parasitic organization that preys on the vulnerable. We somehow need to all collectivize and get them shut down once and for all.

Agree completely with all previous comments. My husband just had an alert from his Credit Card about £18.50 which Easylife had attempted to take from his account. From conversation with them sounds as if Easylife known but not in a good way. Most troubling is that when we rang customer services they said they didn’t know details of the scheme which is worrying in itself .Took her some time to find email for promotions as I wanted a record of what I said to them. Why us trading standards not doing anything about this company .Now emailing MoneyMail in the Daiky Mail as people need to be alerted to them

DO NOT EVER ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. Once they have your name, address and credit / debit card details, one can find that one is "enrolled" into a motoring club, book club and more, all of which you have no idea of being subscribed to. They WILL take money from your bank account for all of these "services" without you knowing anything about it. Trying to get through to their customer service line to cancel these "subscriptions" is impossible. If you have given them your debit / credit card details cancel the cards IMMEDIATELY. Contact your bank and put a block on all their companies. Beware their other "companies" like Perks, PersonalChoice, PremierOffers. They also call you on the phone with more "offers" Block them.

They target elderly people. Connect Worldwide get their most data from Easylife, their "sister company" and most of the people called never consented to their data being shared. Many of them are called multiple times even after asking for their data being removed. They changed their script so that Easylife is only mentioned quickly at the end of the script as most Easylife clients would complain about being sold poor quality products, being called constantly by pushy salespeople and being charged for subscriptions they never agreed to. They push their employees to get sign ups by offering them entries into prize draws if they hit certain targets. Most will work through their breaks to get into the draws. Many will also use immoral tactics to get the clients to agree to their useless, overpriced subscription with a redeemable cash back voucher which they will ever get or never be able to redeem. It is sad to see companies making millions by taking advantage of elderly people and get away with it for years. Avoid Easylife and any Rewards clubs at all cost. Ask the agents their full names and which company they work for and see their reaction. Tell them to remove your data from their system and if the calk back, they have breached GDPR and it could be seen as harassment.

My mother was ripped off by this company a year back.. so you can imagine my family's suprise when we heard from one of my nieces that she had gotten a new job with Connect Worldwide at the Easy Life Catalogue!!! Easy life group are a client of Connect Worldwide Services in Bristol. They hire CWS to sell their rewards clubs, garden clubs, motor clubs schemes etc... The agents at CWS call up the elderly and vulnerable customers offering them a voucher to save money off their groceries at supermarkets however hardly highlight the fact they are automatically enrolling them in the club after the trial. Agents are told not to say this, but rather, you can cancel at anytime during your trial . All the important information is read in the recap at the end of the call and they rush through it at a speed they are well aware the elderly person can't keep up or understand..... They sell it like it's just the voucher and opportunity to look at the promotion however they are well aware of the tactics they use to get the customer to say "oh lovely thank you!". Without actually knowing what's going on.... Most customers don't even receive anything in the post (on purpose).. because the company know many won't realise or forget completely about it. Also they may send it very late so you receive it at the end of the 20days giving you no time to cancel.., they are charged P&P, yearly membership fee.. and puzzle book monthly £18 ( if they managed to trick you with the double sale as well) .. not a scam but very scammy how it's done. Ripping off elderly people without a care in the world.. 20% of customers receive the offers. The rest are scammed out of their money. The amount of money CWS & Easylife make in just a week from pensioners banks accounts is a ridiculous amount too high to even imagine. They pay their employees at CWS £10-£12/ph and then get rid of them a few months later and employ new people for the role.. a tactic they use to keep their employees fresh and unaware of what is going on, so that no questions are asked. They are VERY good at what they do! It is appalling! They also have recently started to not mention anything about easylife to customers over the phone just because they know everyone doesn't like Easylife calling them.. ..another tactic.. .. so now everybody can blame the Rewards Club and not the actually people responsible. The Rewards Club is run and controlled by CWWS who are employed by Easylife. Easy. The staff are forced to get a high number of sales and if not they are dismissed. My niece mentioned she'd had to leave her conscience and sympathy at home while working here.

Under no circumstances whatsoever have anything to do with this company. On the first order from their catalogue you can place an order with them and get what you asked for, no problem. However, this is when the problems begin. When they have your debit / credit card details, phone number and address, you are then likely to be subscribed to motoring clubs, book clubs, reward clubs and more which you do not want. You will find that money has been taken from your account without your knowledge or permission. You are likely to find you have a membership to a motoring club, which, for me and my mother, is redundant as we both cannot drive. Also you may be bombarded with phone calls asking you to subscribe to gardening clubs et al, basically SPAM! In my experience the first you will know about it is when books arrive on your doorstep on day 12 of the 14 day trial period leaving you no time to return the books within the cancellation period, also with the money for the books having already been debited from ones' account. You can try to cancel the order by ringing their customer care line but it takes hours ( literally ) to get through and then it is a case of being fobbed off, supervisor not available etc etc. If you have ordered from this company cancel the debit / credit card you gave them now. There is no easy way to contact them to cancel contracts they have signed you up to without your permission or knowledge. Contact your bank and ensure that they have a block on any payments to EasyLife and their other names like Perks. Also put a block on their phone numbers. If they continue to contact you then use the Protection From Harassment Act 1997 to stop them. Basically have nothing WHATSOEVER to do with this company. If they continue to hassle you for money for things you have not ordered then refer them to the local police force FRAUD SQUAD. Also the telephone preferential service & mailing preferential service.
