We are a Dutch-Bulgarian family and we needed a car for 31 days in 2021, pick-up location Varna Airport. Our review was not post, which I saw today. This company was recommended to us. During the reservation there was a problem with the payment from The Netherlands. Our credit card was not accepted because the company is not using a safe protocol according to our bank and the latest EU regulation. Luckily the company was flexible and agreed on reserving the car without paying up front and we paid at the airport when we picked up the car.
It was a good car (Peugeot 301) and it drove very economically (diesel, mostly max. 80 km/h roads). A minor detail was that the car, although the model was from 2018, had no parking sensors. During the first trip we discovered that the windshield washer did not have any liquid. Filled it ourselves; the hood opening system did not work flawlessly.
When we returned the car the owner made a big fuss about the car being dusty and sticky at some places. Of course it is after 31 days and more than 2000 km later, not a drop of rain and being parked at a hotel with lots of trees around. According to him we had to return the car after being washed because now it was not clean enough for him to see any possible scratches! We have used rental cars all over the world and nobody has ever made a fuss about returning the car uncleaned. Washing the car is a part of the general maintenance of the owner!
By the way, during the pick-up hardly any effort was done to document any scratches that were already on the car. The attitude of the owner became very arrogant and he humiliated my wife (they spoke Bulgarian to each other, I understood but I spoke English) and spoke to his colleague in the same way “Give her the money back” (= deposit). He gave us the money back and they drove off. We were astonished from the whole situation, so for us reason enough to never use this company again, let alone recommend them to anybody!
We noticed that the owner reacts in a consequent way on negative feedback by stating something like “this person has never been our client”. We can assure you; we were a client. We do not use our real names because we don’t want them to pop up when somebody searches the internet.”
“Като цяло съм доволен от компанията и служителите, ползвам съм я два пъти. Препоръчвам да си вземете пълно покритие и да си платите депозита в кеш, така ще бъдете по-спокойни и депозита се връща веднага. Колите са в добро състояние. Отнемам една звезда поради факта, че не осигуряват посрещане и трансфер от Терминал 1 до автомобила. Ако имате багаж и деца ще ви бъде трудно да изчакате и предвижите с автобуса осигурен от Летище София! Препоръчвам да ги използвате!!!
Overall I am satisfied with the company and the employees, I have used it twice. I recommend getting full coverage and paying your deposit in cash, that way you have more peace of mind and the deposit is returned immediately. The cars are in good condition. Deducting one star due to the fact that they do not provide pick up and drop off from Terminal 1 to the car. If you have luggage and children, it will be difficult for you to wait and move with the bus provided by Sofia Airport! I recommend using them!!!”
