Just got and tried their 7.2v electric path weeder and used for first time. Web Description states 40min use from battery but I get about 20 (as it states on box when it arrived). I got it for a monobloc drive, but was lucky to cover about 2sq m before it died. Also on checking the wear on the brush I estimate it has lost about 20% of its life. Certainly not as described and a waste of money. It's easier and cheaper with a path clearing steel brush. Don't buy if for monobloc use, maybe ok for slabs though.

UNBELIEVABLE RUDENESS After a number of phone calls to the parts department and being told that someone would call back which never happen, I decided to call again. I was informed by a member of staff that I needed to send a photograph of the part I needed, I completely understand that that was a good way making sure that the correct part was ordered, but I did informed this person that on my last two calls I wasn't told this information and if I had known this I would have sent a photograph earlier, before I could finish what I was saying this woman started over talking me and saying don't speak to her in that manner in the end her rudeness got the better off me so I put the phone down. Even though I reported this to a member of the customer service team and yet another call to find were my part is all I am being told is that the manufacture hasn't got back to them. I believe this unhelpfulness is due to the complaint I put in regarding this staff member, What I would like to make plainly clear is that I suffer from Tinnitus so speaking on the phone sometimes is quite difficult, It wouldn't be to my advance to be rude to someone that I am speaking to on the phone. So now after two weeks of waiting I still have not had a phone call or a price on how much this part will cost and to be perfectly honest I'm thinking of taking my money somewhere else that appreciates their customers.

thankyou for your review I must apologise for the way that your query has been dealt with. Unfortunately we do not supply all parts but we do try and get as many as we possibly can and normally we would of course notify customers to let them know I am apologise that in this instance this has not happened

Ordered a aerator/scarifier on 3 January. Money taken from bank account immediately. Waited for delivery due within 5 days. Product now appears to be on back order. Did get through to customer services after waiting ages. Was told the manager would call back. Cannot get through to the customer service line . Be careful dealing with this company.

Order took a very long time to arrive. Both phone calls were queued for 6/7 minutes each time. Were promised a soap dispenser which when arrived was packed in a jiffy bag with little protection and was damaged beyond use.

from my ordering my path weed cleaner advertised in the daily express i had to wait two weeks for delivery although when i phoned several times i was given various delivery days, which is very annoying i also rang for some technical help which you do not have,and did not receive any call backs, i think you have lost a customer regards mr sibley.

I placed an order for a battery for my long-reach hedge trimmer in September. I heard nothing from Eckman so I rang the firm . I was told that these batteries were due in October. I again had no further communication from Eckman so rang them again in late October to be told that the batteries were now due in November. I finally received the battery in mid November far too late to complete essential Autumn trimming and pruning in the garden. Throughout my dealings with Eckman I was subjected to very long waits on the phone and in general a somewhat dismissive attitude from their staff. I was made to feel that I was being a nuisance.

Products are very good but to get replacement batteries is nigh impossible Infact when enquiring why they are never in stock we were told on one occasion (if your not satisfied you can always go elsewhere). This was after having paid up front & waiting 4 months cancelling then re-ordering & being assured 3 times that the items were in stock & would be delivered within 7 - 10 days only to receive a message that you had run out of stock & delivery would take another 3 - 4 weeks. Considering that all our garden equipment runs off these batteries we were unable to use any of them for 5 months during the growing season.

The order could not be filled because the product was out of stock. But the website purchasing did not say it was out of stock. I only received an email later to let me know. Then, I was given a delivery date. It had to be revised by further notifications that there was a further delay. Finally it was delivered some 3.5 weeks after the purchase was made on-line. This is poor practice.

Order posted 14th October Payment from my bank account 21st October Order chased ist November, and told goods out of stock. I asked why I had not been informed and was told my details had not been entered on the order, but goods will be in stock on 10th November Goods despatched 11 November and received 14th November I have no faith in your system or your quoted terms of business so will not use your services in future

I have been forced to give the service received a POOR as the item was not in stock and I was kept waiting. One parcel arrived before the other and I had to ring for advice, receiving a very poor response - long hold, put through to Customer Services AGAIN which I had already rung, costing me money while held in a queue for over ten minutes. When I gave up, rang again, the lady I spoke to was wonderful. What a difference! My item did arrive about 5 days after the first (of 2) boxes, with TWO names of addresses, and an invoice for the other named customer but his goods were not in my box which was poorlly packaged, goods moved and one part damaged. Not an overall good experience. No reply to my e-mail which I said I'd send following non-delivery. Again POOR customer service.

Having Having waited for delivery well beyond the date on the confirmation email I rang the customer service people and was told that the item was out of stock until the begining of the following week. Why someone could not have informed me of this situation, as a customer, makes me think that they really are not bothered once they have your money. To make matters appear even worse, on the day when new stock was supposed to arrive at the warehouse, I actually got delivery of my order. I feel I was,at best, misled and at worst, lied to. I don't mind waiting a reasonable time for an item I have ordered but it would be nice if someone had the decency to inform a customer of any delays and not the customer having to spend time and money chasing their order.

I have rated this transaction as "poor" because when it came to supplying a replacement part for the equipment, which had failed, Eckman was completely useless!!

Item took a very long time to come. I did not get the extra battery pack that I ordered. The hedge trimmer is ok but not really man enough. The chain saw keeps cutting out too.
