Be careful purchasing "cordless machines" They are expensive as I note the charger/s (20volt ) come as an extra, and a high price.

I ordered six fruit trees they came quite quickly and I planted them the same day. Three are looking good, one struggling, two appear life lifeless. Contacted them by post. So far no response.

Bought two security lights in March last year, one of them stopped working correctly. Surely it should last longer.I phoned your sales dept and was told it had a one year guarantee.

Ordered a telescopic hedge trimmer and paid for next day delivery . Stayed in to receive it then called pm to find that it hadn't been sent. Waiting I think for a pair of safety specs. I was so cross to have wasted my time especially when they didn't bother to contact me to advise me of situation. Found that Customer Services staff seems to be poorly trained in customer skills until I had insisted to talk to someone "in charge". Was told no one in charge but after pointing out that if staff area working there has to be someone in charge. Eventually spoke to Tracey , a breath of fresh air who sounded sensible and knowledgeable. She sorted out the problem and the trimmer was received the next day. Mr Jonathan SWIFT, I am told is a Director. I would urge him to look daily at the reviews his company is receiving as almost all complaints are for customer service. The hedge trimmer is very efficient but heavy if using it with arms raised. It cuts through medium branches very well. I would recommend the trimmer but not the company.

Paid for next day delivery for hedge trimmer Waited in all day - rang company3 pm. Item still there waiting for the safety specs Very cross - demanded that the item be taken to local courier as I had stayed in and man lined up to use it. Was promised a call from a supervisor - that like the trimmer didn't turn up . Called again and spoke to a customer services agent on whom I vented my wrath! She was calm and very efficient and told me that she would do her utmost to get the item to me. BUT as it was Friday she couldn't promise delivery the next day Saturday a.m. no delivery. Email to Jonathon Swift highly critical of his company etc etc. Saturday pm arriving home from town passed a Yodel van. Husband confirms that trimmer delivered. Hooray!

I ordered the 18v Li-on rechargeable cultivator and spare battery on 04.06.16 Cultivator arrived quarter to seven in the evening on 09.06.16 - No spare battery. Yes the advert is right 4 hours charging and 25 mins use, hence "purchase" for spare battery. Rang 10.06.16 where is spare battery, eckman - it's in the box, me - no it isn't, eckman - there is another parcel check label, me - label states 1 of 1. eckman - wait another 3 to 5 days. Despite many repeated phone calls as to where is the battery eckman responses: - Will order it again and get it sent, The warehouse has allocated one for you, Item despatched 16.06.16 will be with you in 3 to 5 days We will call the courier (Yodel) and advise where it is. (joke) The courier can't find the parcel. We will resend, you will have to wait another 3 to 5 days We can't send it express. This now makes if you can believe it 3 despatches of the same item - I don't. Am contemplating involving the police as to the loss / theft of my property I paid for it - if it has been despatched, and I haven't received then it must have been stolen. You get 2 stars as the cultivator is powerful and does what it says on the tin, You lose stars for the disgraceful and shambolic way you behave and operate towards your customers. Recommend eckman? don't think so do you?

UPDATE 2 Am pleased to announce I have received refund from Eckman for value of goods returned. Still waiting for refund re the cost of return and believe they will send it by cheque. It is such a shame they do not realise that communication is the key and if they answered emails when they receive them customer satisfaction would result

UPDATE 17.06.16 Have received email apologising from customer services saying full refund plus carriage charges will be refunded by cheque. I will update when/if cheque received. At least one of the email messages to them was read and replied to, worth another star if the refund arrives.

I ordered Solar sensor spotlight BOGOF on 1/6/2016. Email received from Eckman that my order has been despatched on 2/6/2016 .My account was debited on 2/6/2016. The order has not been delivered as at today 13/6/2016. Email sent to Eckman with no response. The courier never turned up to deliver the order instead lied that there was no access to the property, whereas this is the 3rd time I ordered from eckman and there was no delivery problem with the previous orders. I think their courier is NOT reliable . My order number is 67484. I'm still waiting for the delivery of my order after 13days of placing the order.

Ordered a long-reach hedgetrimmer in August 2015, which did not arrive. Tried to contact Eckman by phone but calls went unanswered (got the impression it may have been an outsourced call-centre). Contact by E-mail was effective however and the missing item was traced to a corner of the Eckman warehouse and did get delivered, a month late. It was a sad piece of machinery: underpowered, and failed after a couple of hours’ use. Eckman did issue a returns authorisation (again by E-mail) and did offer to collect the item, although I opted to send it by courier, and I’m glad I did. No refund arrived. Again I E-mailed Eckman who denied receiving the returned item. But, from my courier’s tracking data, I was able to prove that a named member of Eckman’s staff had signed for it. Only then did Eckman issue a refund, finally received in January 2016. To be fair, Eckman’s E-mails were courteous, but the product was disappointing, and customer service not really a good experience. I get the impression that Eckman are now making more of an effort, but I for one would be wary of dealing with them again.

Bought a hedge trimmer which was supposed to be lightweight. It wasn't. Phoned to return it and to be fair it was collected when they said it would. Now the problems - getting a refund. Had to phone three times before they actually refunded me, but only the cost of the item. Have not refunded postage costs as per their website. Have emailed them three time already, no response. Will probably now have to phone them (on their premium rated phone number) and demand that they give me a full refund. Good company if you are not planning to return anything to them. Customer service dreadful.

Its a nightmare trying to phone to return an item unless you have plenty of patience and time. The 0203 number I obtained claims that the office is closed if you try to use it. The 044 number puts you in a queue and when answered puts you in another queue- waiting in excess of thirty minutes each time I phoned.

Eckman 3 in1 Mower is not fit for purpose it should be withdrawn from sale, Aerator does not penetrate the ground Scarifier only pricks the surface and picks nothing out. The lawn mower is the only cassette that works but is hampered by the fact that one drive wheel becomes constantly disengaged.

Following on from my previous review ,and in fairness my hedge /chainsaw trimmer has been delivered. Only 2 days late. Not used it in anger but works under no load. Unit made in China but quality is not too bad. Just being fair but comments on phone response are true and I think if I need a spare part I would just chuck it away and put it down to 125 pounds of misjudgement rather than a nervous breakdown trying to get a part.

bought a trolley pressure sprayer which broke after first use arranged courier collection this was 4 weeks ago keep getting in queues for the phone and getting no answers.What a dreadful company will not be dealing with them again.

An update on my earlier review. I have finally managed to contact Eckman Customer Services today, on their paid phone line. I have been advised that they are not aware of a general problem with the EKPMT02 multi-tool system, and have promised to deliver a replacement item, and collect the old one on Friday. They assured me they will check that it does not have the same fault as the original. When I asked why I had not received a response to my email sent last Friday, I was told that they have a backlog of over 1000 emails to deal with. Let's see what happens on Friday !

I received my arch which I needed urgently in just 2 days. Was very pleased about that. Then we noticed that the holes in arch was drilled in wrong Place . I then emailed straight away so they could send me a replacement part, As could not send back as needed it for party, I sent pictures and 3 more emails, But still not no Reply. So now tied up with string. Not pleased. As expected a response. Either new part or a voucher or something .So will not be ordering any thing else. poor services .Very upset customer.

We purchased the multi garden hedge trimmer/chain saw/and strimmer earlier this year from Tragos in Newton Abbott. Devon we have had to take it back twice so far as the pole jammed and theStrimmer keeps breaking. Trago have been great. But the tool is a pain. When it works its great. But we cannot keep get it to work for more than a few minutes, especially the strimmer at no time since we had the apparatus has the Strimmer worked properly the cord keeps breaking and not realising more twine when required. I have spoken to Trago and they have advised what to do and suggested I used a thicker twine and it still does not work. So far I would NOT recommend Eckman to anybody I feel I have wasted over a £100 pounds

Product arrived faulty, email them on the day, several days letter I am still waiting for a returns number. Very poor customer focus.
