HORRIBLE! I paid full price and didn't get the car I rented. Had to pay again. In a nutshell - My flight was delayed, arrived to the airport after the dealership in the airport - GoldCar - was already closed. Scheduled time was 2130, they closed 2300, I arrived 2320. Returned to the airport the following day, GoldCar said they never got my reservation. Called EconomyBookings, they said it's a "no-show", so there is no refund, the charge fully, including the full insurance coverage. They suggested I should claim for a refund from the airline company, however the delay is beyond their responsibility. Had EconomyBookings been fair, they would have refunded my for the remaining time, charged me just for 1 day. This is plain theft! Had to pay again there in the airport. For reference, this was booking # B34274441 by EconomyBookings.com and GoldCar reservation # 26203330.

I booked a rental through EconomyBooking and selected their "Cancel Last Minute" package, which I believed allowed me to cancel up to 1 hour before pickup and receive a full refund. However, upon canceling, I was only offered a credit, not a refund to my original payment method. This was hidden deep in the terms, and the website’s language is extremely misleading. To make matters worse, I contacted customer service to resolve the issue and requested a refund, but after over a week, I still haven’t received any response. The entire experience has been frustrating, and I feel deceived by their unclear policies and lack of communication. I would not recommend booking with them unless you want to deal with misleading information and unresponsive customer service.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! IT IS A SCAM! I GOT A RENTAL CAR THAT I WASNT ALLOWED TO PICKUP BC YHEY DONT RENT TO LOCAL RESIDENTS! GOT NO REFUND! ECONOMY BOOKING IS A SCAM! BUYER BEWARE!

I rented a car online & did not realize they don't rent to locals. I was refused a car at the rental agency, they refused to assist with a refund. Economy hung up on me the first call, got an extremely rude agent the second time who flat out refused to refund my money. Too bad, so sad. No voucher, no car, no refund. Nothing. Then she hung up on me. Third call I was told to email customer service. Fraudulent company, absolutely thieves. They deserve no stars whatsoever. They claim they owe no refund & should get to keep hundreds of dollars despite it being a clear cut error. They are a scam company with no morals, no concept of customer service & gleefully withhold your money with out resolution.

caution! Do not book through Economy Booking! We fell into a trap twice with them - the first time, our driver's license was stolen at the airport, and they refused to help us change the order to another driver who had all the details or show flexibility or even make a refund... we couldn't reach them by any means except by phone (and then we were have to pay for an international SIM). In the end we had to cancel the order and rent a new car at the counter for double the price. In the second order, we paid in advance for full insurance through the website, and when we got to the counter it became clear that the insurance had not been entered into the rental company's system at all, even though the rental company clerk tried as much as she could to help. We didn't have insurance, and we are stuck with an additional payment or unnecessary risk. In short, a terrible experience - inflexibility, poor communication, and bad service.

I had the worst experience with EconomyBooking.com, I rented a car in Calgary 1 month before our trip (in July 2024), one day after, I changed my mind and cancel it, but I get another deal in the same website. So, I asked them to return my payment, as their policy. They answered my email and said they will refund my money in 5-28 days after cancellation, but they didn't returned my money yet after two months! even after one month, I asked my bank to return my money, they checked it and said refund is confirmed and you will have it in a few days. but still nothing happened! it looks like your are dealing with some scammers not a travelling agency company! When it happened for me, I checked the reviews and I saw it happen for a lot people and I am wondering how they still working and ruing people travelling!

This company is scammer, it doesn't deserve a star even. I choosed pick the car up on September 9th at 1am. After i made payment i got the voucher pick-up time 1pm which is 12 hours after my arrival to the airport. Then i wanted to check this with local agency and explained your system issue and they confirmed once you choose 1am system pick it as 13pm and they can not provide the car 1am at all... Then i cancelled my booking and now they don't refund me. I wanted to use their service and i couldn't because of their system setup adjusted only steal money!

scammers refused to give me a car when i had a funeral on asked for a $1000 bond called them and the lady i spoke to was so rude absolutely terrible company definitely shoudve booked with another company

Warning: Do Not Purchase Insurance from This Company – It's Not Valid Everywhere
I rented a car for the dates 07/09/2019 to 14/09/2019 under booking number B72947935, with payment processed on 04/09/2019. The total cost, including car insurance, came to 233.78 EUR. However, upon arrival in Montreal to pick up the vehicle from "Routes Car Rental", I was informed that the insurance purchased through your platform was not valid in Quebec, Canada. This meant I was unable to collect the car without purchasing their insurance (receipt attached). I filed a complaint, as it is misleading to sell insurance that cannot be used. The response I received simply quoted your Terms & Conditions: “10.4.3. If you cancel your Full Coverage policy less than 24 hours prior to your scheduled pick-up time or after you’ve picked your car up, you won’t receive a refund. There will be no refund if the Full Coverage option was not removed in accordance with the cancellation policy." While I understand policies are in place, there was no clear or easy way to cancel the insurance. More importantly, if you know the service you're offering isn't valid in certain regions, why sell it at all? This feels like a scam, and it has left me incredibly frustrated.

if I could give less than a star, I would. complete scam and showed up to rent our car and they said it was an invalid reservation. have attempted 3 times to get a response but have yet to hear back. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! will stop payment with my credit card company.

Criminal organization masquerading as an Australian business, however it is located and operating from Latvia. Claims to offer full refunds yet withhold full refund for cancellation made eight months in advance of car hire commencement. They withhold part of the payment ($23) fraudulently claiming it was "a last minute cancellation" just enough for most people not to bother taking it up with their bank. The company call center and company is located in Riga Latvia. So our Australian consumer laws do not have authority to assist. The bank needed to assist to obtain full refund. Done for the principal of the matter. Avoid these operators! Worst of all, if you read the fine print of the fully warranty car policy it states the car hire driver will need to liaise and sort out repairs and claim should an accident occur. Outrageous! What is the point of paying for top cover to have nil excess and stress free car hire, when you have to lodge the car claim etc.

Awful experience with Economybookings as well as Alamo. I won't rent anything from this third party company anymore. As a service provider, at least be more clear and try to help your clients when there are stranded in an international airport. Knowing the "new rules in Italy" in certain car renal companies for having international driving licence is essential for clients. I travelled a lot and in fact had a trip to Italy 6 months ago with Canadian driving licence and rented a car with no problem. This time I was surprised to find out about international licence requirement. I understand It was written somewhere on your terms/ conditions documents but honestly who would read the entire 8 pages before completing the booking. This kind of information is critical for customers and if you care about your clients you should put this on a bold font on front page of car booking. Your customer service is terrible. I called from Rome report to ask for help or at least a credit. However, I got a response that they cannot do anything with this issue. I already paid for the car rental that I won't be able to use at all and basically I should deal with this on my own. Economybookings got its prepaid payment with full care coverage from the client (myself). so why bother to deal with customer problem.

Do not rent from this company, bunch of thieves, showed up to get my rental, was told I needed a credit card with at least $500 available, I only had $300, I was not told I needed a credit card being that I already paid for the fee for the days I was going to rent. Well I went with Enterprise with no problem, tried to get my money back and they will not refund my money because I didn't have a credit card with $500 available. Never will do business with this company ever again, and I implore you not to do the same, unless you have $500 available in your credit card. Which by the way we needed this credit card to spend money while we were visiting our son's Navy graduation ceremony.

Zero star. Worst rental company economy booking. Com. First they charge you before you pick up your vehicle. My flight was cancelled so i called they didn’t pick up their phone so i cancelled my reservation via app. After a month later they couldn’t get my money do i disputed with credit card but they refused. They are scammers. Never book through them.

Economy bookings took our booking and money for a car hire to pick up that day few hours later in Sardinia. We even phoned up the call centre to confirm that the car was physically there and available, they said they checked and it was. We took a taxi down to the airport to pick it up. The company literally laughed at us and said it was ridiculous by economy bookings as there was never a car available for days. We called up ecoomy bookings to ask for help. ABSOLUTELY useless. Just said we had to email and we would get a response in days. We were left stranded at the airport with no car. They then took days to reimburse the money and no real apology. Really poor company and not to be trusted. Will never use again and I would recommend others don't either.
