“DON'T BOOK A RENTAL CAR FROM THEM!!
I booked a rental car through this company, and on the pick-up day, my flight was delayed. The shuttle pick-up location was unclear, so I missed the shuttle. After paying for an extremely expensive taxi to the rental company, I arrived only to find they had already closed. I couldn’t pick up the car and was left without transportation to my pre-booked accommodation, which I couldn’t cancel or get refunded. I ended up having to stay at a nearby hotel, which was very costly.
The entire experience was frustrating and helpless. To top it off, Booking Group even sent me a fake agreement and invoice, different from the one I received from the rental company.
Please note they will be pleased to post below info if you request a refund:
No refund will be issued in the event of a No-show that is considered as:
1. Failure to collect a car without prior cancellation,– no refund will be issued.
2. Failure to collect a car at the date and time provided in the Confirmation voucher.
3. Failure to bring all necessary documentation (voucher, driving license/s, passport etc) requested by the Supplier (information is provided in the rental conditions).
4. Failure to bring a credit card under the main driver’s name stated on the booking with enough available funds for the car’s security deposit being blocked upon arrival.
5. Renter being blacklisted on the Supplier’s system.
6. No refund will be applied for unused hours or days.
If you want to avoid major losses and keep your peace of mind, here’s a warning: Do NOT rent a car from them—you’ll regret it!”
“I had a booking from October 23rd, 2024, to October 29th, 2024, which is currently active as I write this review. I strongly urge everyone reading this to avoid booking through economybooking.com. They expect customers to thoroughly read every detail of their terms and conditions. After you make a booking, they disclose that you may not receive unlimited mileage, and you might need to purchase additional insurance to validate the coverage provided by economybooking.com. Although the document states that the payment at pick-up is 0.00, when you contact them, they respond with, "Just as you paid the deposit, you will have to pay for the extra insurance too." This results in the total cost being more than double the initial booking price. As I was on a company budget, I requested to cancel the booking, but they refused, stating that I had missed the cancellation window. Now, the extra charges paid to the car rental will be deducted from my salary.
As an avid traveler who values honest reviews, I urge you to be cautious with this site—you may end up feeling scammed. The terms and conditions are so misleading that you won’t discover the hidden costs until after you’ve paid. Please think twice before booking with economybooking.com.”
“Short version:
-No customer service
-Shady business practices
-Don't be fooled by the good prices
Long version:
I cancelled my rental once I realized that the customer service is inexistent. They refused to refund me.
They pocketed 64$ for absolutely nothing. Hiding behind terms and conditions when they don't even answer calls.”
“Went to pick up my prepaid rental car and there was no car available! Had to rent another from a different agency so i can get home! It’s been a month and still have not received any refund. No way to contact over the phone, email only…. Do not use!”
“i have booked to NZ with amount 2973 EURO, but they only return to my E wallet 405 EURO
It is SCAMMMMM
I have called, i have emailed, then there is no answer”
“I canceled car with ample notice. Asked for full refund as per website policy. Keep getting same generic message saying click link to get your refund, which is not full amount. Been dealing with this for 2 weeks now. This company is a scam. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!”
“Avoid at all cost! They are untrustworthy. I was involved in an accident and made a claim and never heard back despite constantly emailing them. There is no way to contact them.”
“Scam of a company. The total I was shown was $40 cheaper than what they charged me when I clicked submit. Then, they wouldn’t refund the extra $10 or so charge for the last minute cancellation service—that I didn’t even know was on the booking.
Very sneaky business. Would never try to use them after this shady situation.
Customer service is also useless. Told me to email about the refund. The email I received was a generic script.”
“If you value your time and do not want to put up with a bunch of inconveniences, DO NOT RENT FROM PRICELESS.
This was one of those deals, where you book on a travel site (like Bookings, Expedia, etc.) but they don't reveal the rental company's name until after you've booked your car. I mean way after you've booked your car.
I decided to go along with Priceless since the price was decent and I had no prior experience with them.
Upon arrival at LAX, you have to take a shuttle that will take to to a parking lot just outside of the LAX area, where you have to get on another shuttle to be taken to the rental location, which is a dirty hole-in-the-wall.
Then you have to fill out yet another form about your existing insurance, but they will still ask you to see your actual insurance policy. So, even though I was the 3rd person in line with 2 windows being attended, it took me a good hour to drive off after arriving there.
Then they tell you to take pictures of the car and the odometer and the gas level and email it to them. What?!!!
The biggest issue was their hours of operation. My flight was at 6am on a Saturday. They do not open until 9am on Saturday. If you want to drop off the car while they are closed, YOU HAVE TO PAY AN EXTRA $45!!! Seriously! Why? Annnd, since there would be no shuttles at that time, I'd have to get a taxi or an Uber to go to the airport. So, my option was to drop it off on Friday, which meant having to drive down, get a ride back to where I was staying (about 20 miles away), then get an Uber back to the airport the next day! THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.
Advice to owners: Good customer experience is what helps grow businesses. How you're running your business needs a LOT of improvement.”
“I will never consider booking from this service and I advise you should not ever give your business to them either. I had cancelled a booking over 48 hours in advance and when credited in the e-wallet I am short 16.5% of what I had paid upfront. I am entitled through the cancellation policy to a 100% percent refund. Their agent says I have been shorted because I purchased a last minute cancellation. There is no mention in any of the emails regarding the booking about last minute cancellation. All in all, last minute cancellation charge would apply if I had cancelled less than 48 hrs.”
“Avoid at all costs!
We rented a car through this website and ended up with a terrible rental provider: long wait for the shuttle (more than 30 minutes), and beware, the rental car shop’s schedule is incorrect. The car was in poor condition (cracked windshield, broken driver’s side mirror), it was not the same car as reserved (SUV instead of a small car), and it was different from what we had booked. We were forced to pay an undisclosed insurance fee ($30.40 per day), and the staff was extremely rude.
After filing a complaint with Economy Bookings, providing ample evidence, including the fact that we had already purchased insurance and were charged a second, very expensive one, we received no assistance.
This is an experience to avoid! The whole experience was just horrible!!
Choose Hertz or Sixt instead, they are much more professional and respect the contracts and insurance already paid for.”
“Biggest SCAM going. Paid 1100.00 for my car rental and was told it would be at Calgary airport. Rental company was 15 min away and had to pay additional 600.00 to get my car. SCAM SCAM SCAM”
“I really wish I could leave a google review on this company because they are literally scamming people. And it’s just so convenient that you’re not allowed to leave bad reviews on their website because they review the review before it’s posted! Do not rent from here!!!! There are so many other websites that will literally give you better customer service!”
“When we arrived at the airport to pick up our reserved car at 1130 PM we were told that we did not have a reservation. We did. After 1 1/2 hours going back and forth with Avis we finally had to rent another car and paid 4x the price that we had already paid to Economy Bookings. We were exhausted and had no other choice. Why would Avis do business with a scam company? After reading so many VERY BAD reviews I believe there should be a class action lawsuit. Probably impossible because they are based in Latvia.”
“Booked a Camero convertible. Got to Thrifty rentals no Camero and a big sign saying mustangs recalled. Offered a mini Cooper convertible and I reluctantly tried. Could not even get my luggage in and I returned in 5 minutes. Still have not received a refund after 45 days”
“This is a horrible company to work with and I advise you to never work with them. They cheated me out of $312 for a car I never used and would not admit that their faulty system caused my problems. If you have any problems you cannot contact them or ever talk to a real person. I would give zero stars if possible. After my debacle, I found a ton of horrible reviews on other sites and wish I had seen those before booking with them. BEWARE.”
