Less than 5 months ago I purchased a BR800 Blower. The Blower has never worked properly right from the first time that I went to use it. It would run for approximately 15 minutes and then shut down. When contacting Stihl about the issue it took them 8 days to respond to my inquiry, and then told me that I would have to have it repaired when in fact what I wanted was a replacement (new). I was told that they would repair it. I took it to an authorized Stihl dealer and they told me it would take 7 - 10 days to repair it. Eventually they notified me that they had repaired it, and the first time I went to use it it ran for 15 minutes and then stopped working, after which it would no longer start. I once again e-mailed Stihl, that was 5 days ago, and they still have not responded. I took it upon myself to take it back the the authorized Stihl dealership that first tried to fix it, and they indicated that they would now have to replace the carburetor which again would take 7 - 10 days. Essentially I thought I had purchased a quality product, that is paying a premium price, but Stihl is no longer the product or company (service) that they used to be. This is the second terrible experience (the first being with having a brand new power washer serviced) that I have had with Stihl products in the past 18 months. I would encourage people to stay away from purchasing any Stihl products.

I have been using reliable STIHL products for 20+ years and recently purchased a brand new MS 271 last week while taking my MS 291 in for "unexpected" repairs. If I had known that I would recieve such poor level of customer service from head office than I would have reconsidered taking my business to a different company that provides honesty and factual information, stands behind their products, and provides their customers with high levels of service. Broken saw with no support and was limited to a 16" bar on my new purchase as other lengths were not in stock. I will be selling all of my STIHL products and sharing my experience. Very disatisfied and if I could, I would rate- no stars

Purchased a HTA 86, haven’t used it more than 15 minutes, when extended pole it becomes detached in the drive, brought to dealer 5 weeks and not fixed as of yet, should it not just be replaced or refunded? Dealer is trying and offered his personal saw, come on Stihl, was planning on one of your chainsaws next but not so sure now.

Very poor service from stihl dealer and stihl Canada. Will never buy stihl product again!! Bought a BGA 57 leaf blower and battery lasts 10-15 mins. Was told I had a 7 day guarantee to return. Unit was used for 20 mins max and they said it was not in returnable condition. HORRIBLE SERVICE AND SUPPORT!!! Please see pics below and beware of purchasing ant stihl products!!

I bought a MS261 saw 3 years ago after my MS026 finally died. I bought the 026 in 1999 and it lasted 20 years. I also bought the MS036 at the same time and it lasted 21 years...I thought these were great products so replaced both with the latest versions...MS261 and the MS362. Well the 261 died after 3 years and only bucked about 20 cords of wood. I am very upset that a $1000 dollar saw only lasted 3 years. I had the extended warranty for 2 years as i use the Stihl oil and always used 91 octane fuel. Is this normal that this saw would die after 3 years....have you started using chinese parts on the piston, rings, cylinders? ps the rings were melted into the piston......Very dissapointed in Stihl products now....

I have a BR106 blower which is older BUT Stihl does not have the simple parts to keep it going like a fuel and air filters. My question to Stihl is how long can a buyer expect that you stand behind you tools a far as support.

I bought the FSA 57 whipper and the BGA 60 blower this summer and they are both terrible products. I wasted a lot of money based on the dealerships recommendation. The FSA 57 feed of whipper string is a joke! Ridiculous! Who came up with that idea? The BGA 60 battery lasts for 10 to 15 minutes tops and then is reduced to half power which cuts it's blowing force to less than half power. How disappointing when I hoped to switch to electric tools! I really feel like I've been ripped off! Terrible products from my previously favorite brand!

After reading your reviews I am nervous to invest in your line of battery operated tools…sad to see so many unhappy customers. My heart belonged to Stihl products in the past and now that I would like to move on to battery operated tools I am left with doubts and concerns about the manufacturing and quality !

I am extremely unimpressed with the latest battery stihl products. They are made cheap, with low quality parts. And frankly, I don't care for excuses, stihl is supposed to mean quality, and that means quality control as well! Specifically, the msa 160 c-bq chainsaw, and the bga 57 leaf blower. The chainsaw, while it worked great when it worked, constantly leaked bar oil when stored inside, in a temperature controlled environment, using stihl brand name bar oil. And after less than 3-4 hours of total usage, spread across ~2 years, the motor magnets have let go and now the saw requires a replacement motor, which costs about 350 dollars(I was just given this number by a stihl service dealer). I have never abused the saw, I cleaned it after every use, and it was always stored inside in the perfect conditions. Clearly, just a cheap tool. The leaf blower is really fairly decent, when it works, which seems to be very temperature dependent. I have had multiple occasions, where it simple stops working, especially as the temperature outside approaches 25 degrees celsius or more. I have been using it for light duty blowing off leaves from a walking path, and it will just stop working, and not turn back on. Battery fully charged, and different batteries, will not change this. A few hours later, and magically, the blower works again. And sometimes, shuts off again, sometimes works for awhile, but never reliably. And once again, this tool has been respected more than the average homeowner/tradesperson would. Their electric quick cut works pretty good, but the battery does not last anywhere near advertised, whether you use the ap300 or the ap300s. And that is with light pressure. I would really like to know their testing environment, because i don't think the tools are tested in proper conditions to show actual, true results. I have been using stihl products for over 20 years, and while their gasoline powered line really seems solid (i have rebuilt many ts400 and ts 410 saws), their electric line is not recommended. Unless you want to have constant headaches, and lose time/profit on a job, i would strongly recommend buying a different brand name. I won't be buying another stihl. Literally, never. What happened to you stihl?

I recently purchased a brand-new MS 250. However, after just two months of use, I've encountered an issue: the chainsaw refuses to start when it's hot. I have bought STIHL because of it known quality. This situation has left me frustrated and seeking assistance to address the problem. This chainsaw now made in China. Stay away from Chinese sow as the quality is low.

The production location of specific products may vary depending on the model, features and availability of each product.

I bought one and it doesn’t work any better than the original one. Still can’t make it thru a trim without taking it apart 2-3 times to feed the line. Not impressed

Ordered the woodsman case and added the gnome to meet the free shipping minimum. I only received the gnome and I feel that I have been trolled. I sent 2 emails, the first being more than a week ago. Im disapointed with stihl direct canada customer service and shipments managements. I wouldn’t recommend stihl direct canada to a friend.

I have tried to find a motor for my FS76. No matter where I go I don't get any help. As I know that a different motor would fit it. I like my FS76 and works for me. No matter who I talk to they try to sell me a new Stihl. This is real hard to try and tell them I just need the motor. All I need is a motor for the one I have.
