We had such a positive experience with EnergySage. As soon as we saw that they absolutely do not call, we knew that they did their user research when it came to learning about solar companies. It's such a good resource and we were able to educate ourselves on different factors to consider when choosing a solar company WITHOUT being pressured. We can't recommend EnergySage enough for people considering solar!

I valued the experience of using EnergySage to compare Solar quotes - the information presented was easy to compare and gave me confidence that the solar companies quoting through EnergySage were upstanding firms.

The Solar Energy market place is a little bit like the Wild West: anything goes that you can get away with! Between the manufacturers who produce quality products, you’ve got those who produce garbage products. Among the installers who believe they should provide you products and services that you’ll rave about to your friends and family, there are others who will take your money and leave you hanging. And that’s where EnergySage comes into the picture! They are familiar with the action patterns of a legitimate business, and stake their reputation as a trustworthy “broker” on the likelihood that the company they recommend will carry out the customer’s wishes…something like an “Angie’s List” for solar system installers. I provided EnergySage with my info (name, address, electric bill), and within minutes, I had proposals from six different companies in my Inbox. I was able to study the proposals in detail, pick the contractors who came up with the better offers (in my opinion), and discuss my selections with “Nicole”, my customer service rep at EnergySage. Nicole was able to confirm my selection of “best offer” based on my specific wants and needs, and put me in touch with the actual installer’s sales rep. Thanks to a YouTube video that mentioned EnergySage, I was able to go from casual look at solar systems to signed contract in a week. Am I completely convinced that everything will go according to plan? No, of course not. However, I know that if something goes awry with my solar system, I can discuss the issue with a EnergySage. The installer is motivated to make sure I’m completely satisfied, because EnergySage may not recommend them to a new customer the next time, if I am not satisfied. Like I said, it’s a little bit like the Wild Wild West out there. EnergySage can help you navigate this tricky landscape by recommending only known good actors. With EnergySage’s advice and guidance, I feel much more confident that the investment of tens of thousands of dollars is going to keep my HVAC and lights going, no matter what Texas weather or ERCOT decide to screw up next time…and there’s always a next time.

Energy Sage was extraordinarily helpful in explaining and walking me through the options for bringing solar power into our house. They provided great information and even put together terrific comparisons of various competing providers. I really don’t think that we would have done this without EnergySage or Maria Kiley.

Energy Sage is a great resource - we used it to easily solicit quotes from various solar installers, most of whom we didn’t know existed so we could easily have not found them on our own. Just input some info about your house, electric bill and a few other details and wait for the quotes to roll in. Energy Sage has a lot of great information on the site too, definitely a good resource!

We needed help in finding a solar dealer. We already have our solar installed and are waiting for National Grid to come and put in the new meter box. We are very happy with all Energy Sage has done for us. Thank you so much.

Great website, and ability to get multiple quotes at one time. Allowed for fast communication and made it easy to read the quotes. The only downside is some of the contractors bidding do not listen (Not the fault of EnergySage), which means you need to either follow up with them or dismiss them. And EnergySage makes that easy to do.

A friend mentioned but did not necessarily recommend energy sage. I used the service and was impressed by the user-friendly format, and the professionalism and knowledge of my adviser. I would recommend energy sage to anyone entering the market for solar power.

EnergySage gives sound unbiased information. We had a horrid experience with one company, fired them and are now with NC Solar Now who are extremely profession, informative, constant information and emails sent to keep us appraised of the process. We are looking at getting the solar panels/ battery installed once we get the ICR approval. CANNOT sing the praises of this company enough. If you live in NC we HIGHLY recommend this company. Will update once our installation is complete. To say we are happy does not come close.

I was really keen on EnergySage at the beginning. Great concept. I wouldn't use EnergySage and would encourage others to not use EnergySage in the future. I'd find installers and then use a variety of other sites to research supposed top performers. I now am in a 25-year relationship with an installer who I'd argue is very different from the ratings on EnergySage I based my decision on. When you first go into EnergySage it's shocking how many nearly 5-star rated installers there are. Find that density of incredibly high-rated reviews ANYWHERE else on a review site. I found out there's a reason for that. Turns out when I did review my installer they called me up and were very persistent in getting me to remove my review. EnergySage doesn't have a problem with that. When I looked through the rest of the reviews, there is an incredible enthusiasm for solar installers which in itself raises an eyebrow. One review for my installer has "A+++++++++++++++++" in the title. It's like shouting off the rooftops about your plumber. So if you do use EnergySage (which again, I'd recommend strongly against relying on them as a singular source). Remember they have a very short relationship with you as a buyer and a long relationship with installers. Remember there is "survivor bias" in the reviews, especially in the highly rated companies so you should actively "deflate" the rating in your mind. Remember that there are plenty of other sites that provide solar insight and advice and you should actively use them.

EnergySage saved my sanity! I had contacted companies on my own before learning about EnergySage. What a difference it made going this route. My advisor, Alexandria, was very knowledgeable and spent time explaining things so I could understand. The quotes we received made comparing easy because we saw "apples to apples." Whenever I hear of someone who is considering solar, I tell them to check out EnergySage!

A great source of information about those black panels that are showing up on roofs in your community. There is a lot of basic information on their web-site that explains the technology very well. They tell you what to look for in those things called PV panels, inverters and batteries. They will ask for your address and a recent power bill and with that information quotes from suppliers/installers start arriving in your inbox. You will get ratings on the quality of the equipment listed in the quote and they will answer questions that may arise. I felt very comfortable throughout the whole process. No pressure, no favoritism, just help and support. They provide a very good environment in which you make your decision.
