“I started my Solar journey in May 2023. As I continued my journey I came across EnergySage. Before making any contact I immersed myself in their weekly/monthly scheduled webinars. I knew a little about solar but I needed more in-depth knowledge of the available jargon to assist me with my solar project. After some local and in-home appointments, and asking questions to the representative(s) which they could not answer -thanks to EnergySage webinars- some of the very basic stuff they are attempting to sell me. I found in all appointments the solar knowledge was very limited and always required a phone call to get an answer which sometimes required we will have to get back to you on this. My intended project required solar and battery storage in a specific layout with three years of consumption data that I had readily available which kind of complicated the process a little due to the various battery options and functionality. needless to say in July 2023 I reached out to EnergySage for a more streamlined process with multiple providers, providing me with what they can offer. I was assigned an energy consultant by the name of Peter who was excellent in educating me, and providing me with additional insight through constant (as needed) emails and telephone calls. I know I would have gotten tired of my questions, but no, not Peter. His expertise and guidance were immensely valuable, and I truly appreciate the time he dedicated to our conversations. I must say that his exceptional skills and in-depth knowledge of the various products/services quotes being presented left a lasting impression on me. His ability to understand my needs and provide tailored solutions was impressive, and it helped me gain a clearer understanding of how the offerings can benefit me in my solar needs. Furthermore, I would like to commend his professionalism and responsiveness throughout our discussions. His promptness in addressing my inquiries, as well as his willingness to provide additional information and support, was truly commendable. It is evident that he genuinely cares about potential solar individuals (home/commercial) and strives to deliver the highest level of service. I am confident that our conversation has laid a solid foundation for my solar project. His insights have given me confidence in solar and its ability to meet my requirements. I must say thanks to EnergySage I am able to go solar in December 2023 by selecting a quote provided by them. I look forward to exploring the other possibilities further. Once again, thank you for your time, expertise, and exceptional service. It was a pleasure working with you, and I appreciate your commitment to assisting me.”

“I found energysage to be an extremely useful tool in not only my solar purchase, but also my understanding of the solar industry. It has great resources to help us learn about everything from inverters to panel warrantees. It also makes going solar so easy. In the past, I sat through a salesman telling me what he wanted me to know about his company and the solar system that they offer. With energy sage, I was able to see the entire picture of what was being offered and compare that to other quotes at the same time. I would not have gone solar without energy sage making this process so much more transparent and easy.”

“Energy Sage is the Consumer Reports of the Solar market. I wouldn't make any large purchase that is reviewed by consumer reports without first consulting them and I would urge anybody interested in Solar to not make any decisions about solar without going through Energy Sage. They are an invaluable, unbiased source of information on solar in general. More importantly they do a great job getting you very detailed quotes from vetted, reputable companies. Being a large, once in a lifetime purchase (hopefully), energysage is argueably the most vital part of your Solar buying process. I could not be happier with how our solar buying process went and that is because I used Energy Sage.”

“A shady company that manipulates feedback and savings on its website! Energy Sage, despite claims to the contrary, unprofessionally removes reviews at the request of suppliers. My review, agreed to be accurate by both supplier and Energy Sage, was removed because it was justifiably critical of the supplier signup process, sales representatives' level of knowledge, and their ability to convey that information to a prospective customer. I returned to Energy Sage to update the review only to find it missing. When I contacted Energy Sage they admitted to removing it. In addition, they don't properly represent savings. For example, for rooftop solar, they don't include fees you'll still have to pay the utility! As always buyer beware! Keep in mind Energy Sage exists to help sell energy solutions NOT to aid consumers in making prudent energy decisions! Unfortunately, they are funded by the US Department of Energy and states including mine with misguided criteria.”

“Great product, poor customer service. If you ever have an issue be prepared for the gaslighting as they repeat the corporate mantra "your issue is due to shading, the system is operating within the spec". This will occur within the first minute of your call, before they make an attempt to assess the data and the situation.”

“Not having ever heard of, Energysage, before I started my quest for adding a solar panel system to our home, I had no idea of what to expect. As it came to be, EnergySage is a fantastic company bringing together a wealth of knowledge easily accessed from their online website. The one-stop shopping place to gather multiple bids for your solar panel system quest. I received four bids from well-established companies, all well-regarded with access to read reviews and contact reps from those companies. I requested bids in mid-summer and I wasn't quite ready to commit to a contract. No problem. I received offers to update the bids with current offers. Finally, I studied the offers, talked with reps from the companies I was most interested in, and then made our decision to commit to one company. This was made easier in the fact that after you make you decision, EnergySage lets the competitors know your decision so you don't have to. I can highly recommend Energysage to anyone preparring to inquire about solar panel installation.”

“From one point of view, they do a reasonably good job of providing contacts that can lead to a possible solar system order. In my case it did. However, after that, I also looked for a heat pump installation and followed their links. At the end, it shows a text that they do not do heat pumps, yet anyway. Although they started a new wave of quotes coming in for a possible solar installation. Bad, really bad, to kind of trick you down the wrong path. Maybe the last time I'll use energysage!”
