“Enhancv is a decent tool for enhancing your CV, but it remains somewhat user-unfriendly. For instance, copying and pasting full sections from an old CV into the Enhancv template is challenging. The tool doesn’t accurately parse the sections from your existing document, often mixing them up and reorganizing them chronologically in unintended ways. In the end, using the tool took me just as much time as building the CV manually from scratch. That said, the final result did look visually more appealing. My recommendation to the Enhancv team: Focus on improving the import functionality to make it truly customer-friendly and intuitive.”

“Enhancv was fine for what it is—easy enough to use and does the job. But after a while, it started to feel a bit repetitive and I could pretty much guess what was coming next. Not bad, but a little more variety wouldn’t hurt.”

“Creation of Resume was easier, but if we want to alter any sections or copy any section to another resume the provision is not given. Also Font and color formating can be made more flexible and easier section wise. Bullet designs in each section should be given in settings icon like other menu If these improvements are handled the rating can be 4.5. Also download provision should be for pdf and word format as well”

“The templates and LinkedIn import function was super helpful and saved me a lot of time. However, there were a lot of limitations to customizing some basic elements of the text (for example, many sections did not allow for bullets, or customizing spacing between bullets).”

“Nice tools to use, but not immediately intuitive to use. Not sure that the price for the product is worth it. They probably need a different billing model for those needing a simple in and out product versus a months long subscription.”

“The formatting is good, the web tool is pretty good. The AI suggestions are usually a bit rubbish and I've spent more time undoing them than anything else. The fact that I can't download it as a .docx so I can edit it outside their tool is really frustrating. The pricing is high enough at $40/month that I should be able to pull it off their platform and use it as a base for the future. I will pay for one month and then get out, potentially to a competitor.”

Hi there, thank you so much for sharing your comments. Enhancv is a platform that relies heavily on automations and AI powered tools to assist in your resume creation. The whole idea of the Enhancv platform is that you edit your content in the tool, we help you with edits and design, and once you're happy with the result, you export it to PDF ready to be used in a job application. Our PDFs are not optimised to be edited using third party tools. The ~$40 / month price that you saw is in Australian dollars.

Hi there, I'm sorry you weren't able to locate the option to import your full experience data. The best way for you to do that would be to choose "work with original content" and not accept the AI improvements when you're importing. You can also try and unhide the Description and Bullets fields in the resume you already imported. These might be hidden by the AI improvements.
