“The car rental company in the US denied us our prepaid booking because Enjoy Travel booking was for a British Resident (we are US residents). We were on a cruise off the coast of West Africa when we made the reservations and no where on the online booking did I see a box that requested me to indicate what country we were a resident of. After 133 days at sea and tons of luggage we get to the car rental agency and the voucher was deemed incorrect. Enjoy requested proof we showed up. Two weeks many phone calls and emails with the car agency and we got the proof. Then Enjoy stated that the wrong code was on the reservation therefore they would refund us NOTHING. No money was sent from Enjoy to the car agency. They pocketed the entire amount. I am older and have traveled extensively, use to represent clients in front of the IRS. I have an acute attention to detail. There was no check box on the actual application to say I was a non British resident (perhaps because of our location when I made the reservation). I supplied a non British address and a non British credit card. The rental agency recommended our money be returned. What a horrible company with horrible ethics.”
“Booked car hire from Australia in Sicily they charged $900 but my fault for not checking small print needed an idp, was not advised at purchase only in the small print! Did not give me the car in Catania. Contacted enjoy travel and they basically told me to stuff it! Lost $900 when a simple disclaimer pre purchase would have prevented it. Have booked many car hires in Europe did not know of the Italian prerequisite. Enjoy travel were not one bit sympathetic…. Very poor!!

Please review the terms you agreed to at the time of booking (below in link) and that were subsequently sent in an email before your rental started, where we advised you to check important terms such as accepted requested documentation. As you were unable to comply with these terms the rental was denied and you are therefore not due a refund.

“highly disappointing experience I encountered with a car rental reservation I made through your platform.
I booked a 7-day car rental at Nice Airport with Goldcar, and I submitted my airline ticket in advance to inform you of my scheduled arrival time—7:00 PM. The confirmed price for the rental was €136, and the reservation was made in good faith, based on the arrival time specified.
Upon arriving at the Goldcar counter at Nice Airport, the agent was initially unable to find my reservation. After approximately 15 minutes, I was informed that the reservation had been cancelled due to a “no-show.” This was both confusing and unacceptable, as I arrived at the correct time I had specified—7:00 PM—and at no point did I select or agree to a pickup time of 12:00 noon.
The Goldcar agent then offered me a similar economy car for €625, which is more than four times the price of my original booking. When I expressed my concerns about the integrity of the business process, the agent advised me to contact Enjoy Travel directly, as they claimed only Enjoy Travel could reactivate the cancelled reservation.
Following this, I attempted to resolve the issue through the Enjoy Travel website. I spent over 90 minutes chatting with an AI assistant, which repeatedly promised to connect me with a live agent—but that never happened. I also submitted a complaint form via the website, but I have not received any response. It’s been 13 hours since I submitted complaint asking to activate my reservation. No one responded.
This experience has caused significant inconvenience and unnecessary stress. I am requesting the following actions be taken immediately:
I trusted Yellow Travel to facilitate a smooth rental experience and feel this situation reflects poorly on the service and coordination between your platform and Goldcar.
I have no choice but write complain to customer service government agency in UK, only government able to audit this business structure. I live in USA and my vacation is Nice is ruined.”
“Booked a car with them for a rental with Keddy, ended up with Europcar (bad experience) and they refused to give me a car. Enjoy travel refuses to refund my costs even if I didn't k wo Europcar was involved and had to pay 3times the price to get a car from another company as I wasn't informed until the moment of collection”
“We got a good price for our car in Orlando with it all included plus another driver for my brother-in-law to drive too, made it easier to share the driving. 7 seat car was perfect, good parking sensors were needed, it was a tank.”
“I booked a Kia Carnival online through E.T. to pick up from Perth Airport at a really good price including a full comprehensive insurance to cover everything like wheels and windscreen. Everything went well from start to finish. Also, the staff at Europcar Perth Airport were excellent as well.”
“I booked a car in Tbilisi using the service. I chose the pick-up location to be Tbilisi Airport. When I arrived in the city, the rental company they work with took me to another location in the city center to pick up the car. It took me 45 minutes to drive one way and 45 minutes to drive back because I had to drive in the opposite direction, which increased fuel consumption.
I wrote a request to Customer Service, provided all necessary information and proof, but I still haven't received an answer.
Moreover, the rental company charged me 20 Euros for a cleaning service, which wasn't described in the agreement. After 3 months of back-and-forth emails, they finally refunded the fee.
EnjoyTravel doesn't listen to customers. You won't be able to get your money back if a rental company charges you something extra.”
