Have emailed wanting an explanation and a refund. But not sure I will get either.”

Wir haben über Enjoy Travel ein Auto gemietet, doch beim lokalen Vermieter wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass zwingend eine Kreditkarte auf den Namen des Fahrers erforderlich sei – was bei der Buchung nicht deutlich genug kommuniziert wurde. Auf dem 20-seitiges Voucher lediglich klein abgedruckt und in dicker Schrift, dass man vor Ort nichts mehr bezahlen müsse. Eine Kreditkarte meines Partners wurde nicht akzeptiert, obwohl man laut Aussage des lokalen Vermieters den Fahrernamen über Enjoy Travel hätte ändern können. Es war zu diesem Zeitpunkt niemand mehr erreichbar, weder telefonisch noch im Live-Chat.
Wir sahen uns gezwungen, die Buchung zu stornieren und haben Enjoy Travel umgehend per E-Mail kontaktiert und die Situation geschildert. Dennoch wurde uns die Erstattung komplett verweigert. Am Ende mussten wir über 600 € für einen Mietwagen ausgeben, trotz Stornierung und ohne jegliche Kulanz seitens Enjoy Travel.
Sehr enttäuschend, weder transparenter Buchungsprozess noch kundenorientierter Service. Seitdem werden wir ignoriert von EnjoyTravel, für uns wirkt das Geschäftsmodell wenig verbraucherfreundlich und sehr intransparent.

When we arrived this morning in the Sixt agency in Agen they told us there was no car and the reservation was cancelled??!! This we had to find out after a 40 minute drive! How is it possible to make a reservation when there is no car available ? And how is it possible we were not warned about this cancellation before we had to drive to Agen? So, we stood there with no car, no solution ….!! We tried to telephone Enjoy Travel but they were unavailable ?! Thank you very much for nothing! The only thing we could do was to drive 40 minutes back and look for another solution because we still needed a car to rent till saturday. I also payed for the reservation so where is my money?”
“I booked car hir through Enjoy Travel and through this booking purchased insurance with Enjoy Travel. We ended up experiencing a car crash, requiring me to pay 700 Euros out of pocket which I was ensured would be refunded to me through my insurance claim to Enjoy Travel. I submitted this claim over two months ago, sending chaser emails, with absolutely no response. I was ensured I would hear back within 7 days. The level of customer service is non-existent, and I am still owed this money from Enjoy Travel. Do not book with them.”
“Do not book car insurance for car hire with this company. I paid for car insurance but when we went to collect car people at the desk informed us that we would only bw covered for 3000 pounds if anything happened. Alao, we had a 1700 pounds excess so had to pay that to the car company if we wanted the car which we qould gwt back on return if car was not damaged. I ended up having to buy car insurance again from the car hire company . I contacted enjoy travel and they said it was basically my own fault as I didnt read the small print. Fair enough but I just presumed all was the normal policy. They are just selling insurance that is Not Appropriate!”
“Booked car hire from Australia in Sicily they charged $900 but my fault for not checking small print needed an idp, was not advised at purchase only in the small print! Did not give me the car in Catania. Contacted enjoy travel and they basically told me to stuff it! Lost $900 when a simple disclaimer pre purchase would have prevented it. Have booked many car hires in Europe did not know of the Italian prerequisite. Enjoy travel were not one bit sympathetic…. Very poor!!

Please review the terms you agreed to at the time of booking (below in link) and that were subsequently sent in an email before your rental started, where we advised you to check important terms such as accepted requested documentation. As you were unable to comply with these terms the rental was denied and you are therefore not due a refund.

“highly disappointing experience I encountered with a car rental reservation I made through your platform.
I booked a 7-day car rental at Nice Airport with Goldcar, and I submitted my airline ticket in advance to inform you of my scheduled arrival time—7:00 PM. The confirmed price for the rental was €136, and the reservation was made in good faith, based on the arrival time specified.
Upon arriving at the Goldcar counter at Nice Airport, the agent was initially unable to find my reservation. After approximately 15 minutes, I was informed that the reservation had been cancelled due to a “no-show.” This was both confusing and unacceptable, as I arrived at the correct time I had specified—7:00 PM—and at no point did I select or agree to a pickup time of 12:00 noon.
The Goldcar agent then offered me a similar economy car for €625, which is more than four times the price of my original booking. When I expressed my concerns about the integrity of the business process, the agent advised me to contact Enjoy Travel directly, as they claimed only Enjoy Travel could reactivate the cancelled reservation.
Following this, I attempted to resolve the issue through the Enjoy Travel website. I spent over 90 minutes chatting with an AI assistant, which repeatedly promised to connect me with a live agent—but that never happened. I also submitted a complaint form via the website, but I have not received any response. It’s been 13 hours since I submitted complaint asking to activate my reservation. No one responded.
This experience has caused significant inconvenience and unnecessary stress. I am requesting the following actions be taken immediately:
I trusted Yellow Travel to facilitate a smooth rental experience and feel this situation reflects poorly on the service and coordination between your platform and Goldcar.
I have no choice but write complain to customer service government agency in UK, only government able to audit this business structure. I live in USA and my vacation is Nice is ruined.”
