The car rental company in the US denied us our prepaid booking because Enjoy Travel booking was for a British Resident (we are US residents). We were on a cruise off the coast of West Africa when we made the reservations and no where on the online booking did I see a box that requested me to indicate what country we were a resident of. After 133 days at sea and tons of luggage we get to the car rental agency and the voucher was deemed incorrect. Enjoy requested proof we showed up. Two weeks many phone calls and emails with the car agency and we got the proof. Then Enjoy stated that the wrong code was on the reservation therefore they would refund us NOTHING. No money was sent from Enjoy to the car agency. They pocketed the entire amount. I am older and have traveled extensively, use to represent clients in front of the IRS. I have an acute attention to detail. There was no check box on the actual application to say I was a non British resident (perhaps because of our location when I made the reservation). I supplied a non British address and a non British credit card. The rental agency recommended our money be returned. What a horrible company with horrible ethics.

Booked car hire from Australia in Sicily they charged $900 but my fault for not checking small print needed an idp, was not advised at purchase only in the small print! Did not give me the car in Catania. Contacted enjoy travel and they basically told me to stuff it! Lost $900 when a simple disclaimer pre purchase would have prevented it. Have booked many car hires in Europe did not know of the Italian prerequisite. Enjoy travel were not one bit sympathetic…. Very poor!! Their response - and I didn’t get a follow up email! Good morning, Thank you for the email. Please review the terms you agreed to at the time of booking (below in link) and that were subsequently sent in an email before your rental started, where we advised you to check important terms such as accepted requested documentation. highly disappointing experience I encountered with a car rental reservation I made through your platform. I booked a 7-day car rental at Nice Airport with Goldcar, and I submitted my airline ticket in advance to inform you of my scheduled arrival time—7:00 PM. The confirmed price for the rental was €136, and the reservation was made in good faith, based on the arrival time specified. Upon arriving at the Goldcar counter at Nice Airport, the agent was initially unable to find my reservation. After approximately 15 minutes, I was informed that the reservation had been cancelled due to a “no-show.” This was both confusing and unacceptable, as I arrived at the correct time I had specified—7:00 PM—and at no point did I select or agree to a pickup time of 12:00 noon. The Goldcar agent then offered me a similar economy car for €625, which is more than four times the price of my original booking. When I expressed my concerns about the integrity of the business process, the agent advised me to contact Enjoy Travel directly, as they claimed only Enjoy Travel could reactivate the cancelled reservation. Following this, I attempted to resolve the issue through the Enjoy Travel website. I spent over 90 minutes chatting with an AI assistant, which repeatedly promised to connect me with a live agent—but that never happened. I also submitted a complaint form via the website, but I have not received any response. It’s been 13 hours since I submitted complaint asking to activate my reservation. No one responded. This experience has caused significant inconvenience and unnecessary stress. I am requesting the following actions be taken immediately: I trusted Yellow Travel to facilitate a smooth rental experience and feel this situation reflects poorly on the service and coordination between your platform and Goldcar. I have no choice but write complain to customer service government agency in UK, only government able to audit this business structure. I live in USA and my vacation is Nice is ruined.

I booked a car in Tbilisi using the service. I chose the pick-up location to be Tbilisi Airport. When I arrived in the city, the rental company they work with took me to another location in the city center to pick up the car. It took me 45 minutes to drive one way and 45 minutes to drive back because I had to drive in the opposite direction, which increased fuel consumption. I wrote a request to Customer Service, provided all necessary information and proof, but I still haven't received an answer. Moreover, the rental company charged me 20 Euros for a cleaning service, which wasn't described in the agreement. After 3 months of back-and-forth emails, they finally refunded the fee. EnjoyTravel doesn't listen to customers. You won't be able to get your money back if a rental company charges you something extra.

I arranged to rent a car through Enjoy Travel. I was reviewing details the night before I was to fly out and learned I was not allowed to drive the car out of state. Charlotte is a hub for American Airlines and 20 miles from S. Carolina. I had never heard of such a confining geographic restriction!! I had to cancel my reservation and because it was 24 hours before the contracted time, not 48 hours, I had to eat the prepaid cost. I know, Caveat Emptor, but all of that fine print!! Be careful! Read everything. I tried to appeal but there was no compassion.

Avoid this company. I booked a car with them in London Heathrow and got there an hour late necause my flight was delayed. They canceled my reservation and did not answer when I ask for refund. I appears that many others had similar experience with them. Please see reviews before book with them.

Very bad company ; I booked a car with Enjoy Travel in NIce; they provided a voucher with Gold Car for the cost of €418 ; at arrival in Nice at 23:00 Gold Car stated they do not do business with Enjoy Travel and they created a brand new rental agreement costing €1156 either take or face being stranded for the night at Nice Airport, when contacted Enjoy travel they stated the problem was me trying to pay with an Amex even though Enjoy Travel accepted the deposit via Amex, they are still not acknowledging Gold Car statement " we don't deal with Enjoy Travel" I will have to escalate this matter at an higher level

Car was not at the airport when I arrived. Phoned the help number and got a man who said I had to find my own way to a point on a map that he whats app sent me. Not what I paid for and not what was printed on my ENJOY TRAVEL VOUCHER. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE.

Terrible service. They located in UK. We are 11 hours ahead of them. No urgent contact over the weekend. We couldn't pickup our car due to name mismatch. They failed to response to us 2 days after the initial pickup date. No apology, no credit, no service, no refund. This is one of those typical companies. If nothing happen, they are ok. If anything happens, they run faster than anyone. Don't use their service.

I have emailed both hello@enjoytravel.com and claims@enjoycarhire.com several times and get no reply what so ever. This policy was to cover excess car insurance. I wasted my money taking out this policy. DO NOT RELY ON THIS COMPANY ANSWERING YOUR EMAILS OR PAYING THE EXCESS INSURANCE.

I recently booked a rental car through Enjoytravel.com for Frankfurt airport (ENJ-16958418). When we got there, we had to wait atleast 30 minutes just to talk with the employee. When it was finally our turn, we were told there we're no more cars available, even though we had reserved a while before. Wheego (the rental company) blamed enjoytravel and told us to call them but they were closed since it was Sunday so we ended up having to rent another car from another company which ended up costing 2x more. This made us late by 2 hours to our destination and also put a lot of stress on us, it's something that should never happened. I contacted wheego and enjoytravel.com, it had been 1 week so far and nothing has been solved so far.

Do not under any circumstances hire a car through this company. They will take your deposit and fail to provide you with a vehicle and then refuse to give you your money back using the no refunds on cancellation clause. It doesnt matter that you didnt cancel. You will be left stranded and out of pocket

We rented a car in Turkey through Enjoy Travel only to find out they had canceled the arrangement without any notification. This left us high and dry in a foreign country. According to Enjoy Travel, when I sent an email confirming my flight time had not changed and to seek directions on how to pick up the car, they took this as a change and proceeded to cancel things. They said they sent an email but I have no such email. Interestingly, they kept my initial deposit even after canceling and would not refund. I've had to get my credit card provider to refund. It's an absolute disgrace the way they operate and an all too familiar story when you look on the web there are 100s of others who have had the same issue. They take your deposit and cancel if you send an email of any sort.

DO NOT USE! Nobody met me at the airport and I was left at the airport at 1am and had to get a taxi. Now Enjoy are refusing to refund me either the car hire or the taxi.

I made a reservation for a rental car with enjoytravel.com. They did send me an invoice and a reservation number with “Thrifty Car rental”. The invoice was CA $ 792,83 everything included. When I wanted to pick-up the car, I was asked for another US $ 1 690.- I had to cancelled the reservation and went without a car. I asked enjoytravel.com to refund my CA $ 798.83. They never even answered me properly. They never gave me a penny back. How would you rate a company like this?

Apart from waisting my time and ruining my holiday plans i got no refund and they are refusing giving me a refund, eventhough the problem was wrong information on their website that only 1 year of driving license needed clearly stated. They are trying to find excuses every time i challenge them and prove them wrong but anyway will escalate this not for the money but the principle.

Some Costs Are More From my experience, Enjoy travel sold me a car hire from Drivalia rental at Birmingham Airport, that was unobtainable at the price quoted. Basically the bill at least doubled with extra insurance, or you'd be required to leave a huge deposit that no reputable firm would require. I would advise using well known companies that quote the prices up front and have respect for their customers. In the hire office I witnessed a procession of disgruntled customers receiving appalling service at Drivalia. Having witnessed their attitude to customers, some of whom were guests to this country, there was no way I would allow them access to my credit card details. I had already been sold excess insurance by Enjoy travel, which turned out to be worthless at a company they represented. So I walked away 240 quid out of pocket, future customers should do the same. The old adage, if it looks too good to be true, it probably isn't, comes to mind. Date of experience: 26 March 2023
