“The 8mm family films had not been viewed for 35 years for fear of damage to the film itself and two ancient and balky projectors. The Everpresent staff transferred every frame of the 43 little reels with care and precision. Every little bit of the reel content was copied onto the digital media, even the poorly framed and shaky footage taken from a moving car. We are more than pleased with the results and will be bringing more film to be copied to a digital format. Many thanks to all at Everpresent.”

“The quality of the slide conversion was fine. However their Project Manager and I had agreed on a numbering system for the slides so that I could easily refile them. (I had thousands of slides). They then proceeded to not use the numbering system mixing slides from different time periods in large batches. They volunteered to "fix" the problem but at additional cost to me. I turned this offer down. It was unlikely that they could have fixed the problem since some of the original slides had been jumbled. I had to sort and numbered each digital slide. I also believe that some slides were lost. I have many more negatives and photos to digitize but I will be using a different firm.”

“The person I worked with, Kate, was fantastic. She made it easy, went above and beyond to empathetically help this (me) technically challenged old person. I was thrilled with the result of my project, it was done on time (and I had not left ENOUGH time); Kate proactively communicated with me, cheerfully, to keep me on schedule, and the cost ultimately was more reasonable than I expected. If I could just get me act together, I would do lots more projects. Bottom line: yes, I'm definitely satisfied and recommend the service.”

“Everpresent did a wonderful job converting my 35mm slides to digital. One group of slides came through reversed left to right, but Everpresent quickly transposed the reversed slides into the correct orientation - and at no extra cost.”

“Their ability to put professionally done videos on CDs was excellent. Several of my home videos, however, transferred poorly to CDs. They shipped the completed job to me without without informing me of the problems with several of the tapes. I do not recall receiving a letter with my order. Please forward me a copy. Thank you”

“I had 5 DVDs made of a VHS tape that I bought on eBay to replace one that our family had loved in the past, but which had been misplaced years ago. When I dropped it off, I told the person at Everpresent that I had been unable to view the tape (no VHS player anymore) and I hoped that it was in decent shape. The project took about twice as long as they originally told me, and I had to reach out to them to find out what the status was, after not hearing from them in the anticipated time frame plus several days. There seemed to be some confusion when I called about it, and it took some time for them to track down my order. When I (finally) picked it up I was told that there was some slight wear to the VHS tape with resulting "minor" flaws in the DVD. I excitedly gave copies to my children and to a couple of friends. But when I actually watched the DVD I was extremely disappointed. Large portions (like almost 50%) of the recording were unwatchable, presumably because the VHS tape was (unbeknownst to me) worn out. Granted, the fact that the tape was worn out is not the fault of Everpresent. But I am disappointed that they didn't contact me to tell me how poor the quality was, especially since I voiced concern about that from the outset. Now it seems obvious to me that the delay was due to them trying to salvage the recording somehow. I am not only disappointed in their service, but embarrassed that I gave copies to other people. Not to mention that I spent a fair amount of money (I think almost $150) for something that is really not of any value.”

Jennifer, thank you for your feedback. In reviewing your Quality Letter, it seems that we did identify a Frame Hold issue with your tape and did indeed spend extra time using numerous different tape machines to get a decent capture out of a tape that was not in great condition. Ultimately, we were transparent about it the flaws upon returning your order and did our best, but we likely should have emphasized the nature of the tape's defects more and encouraged you to review it before distributing the extra copies. We will keep this in mind in the future in instances where we are quite proud of our ability to salvage a tape, but where the final result may be something a client wants to think twice about before distributing.

“I was really impressed with EverPresent, I had many VHS tapes of family vacations and many exciting things when my children were young. I always worried about not having them to hand down to my kids now that they are adults and have families of their own. I sent many VHS tapes and had several copies made to send to my children and grandchildren for Christmas. EverPresent was so great to work with, they were caring and understood how important these tapes were. They kep me informed on the process and when they were my order back. I would differently recommend EverPresent to all my friends!!”

“Having thousands of 35 mm. slides reduced to a thumbdrive certainly helps the needed down sizing of my home, while preserving the images. My only complaint is that some of the magazines (that held slides) were reproduced in reverse order. I can recommend the service to others, and have already done so. The expense and time were worth it!”

“Everpresent transfered an old VHS Tape that was damaged. They informed me that the quality was not great and the quality would not be up to their standards. For sentimental reasons I still wanted the DVD pressed. They worked magic and fixed some of the problems. Quick turn around, quality service. I have now used them on three other projects.”
