“The money was taken out of my bank account straight away. When I checked to see if my order had been dispatched (seeing as the money had been taken) it said ‘awaiting’. I then had to email Exotic Pets to find out when it was going to be due. Turns out this item is out of stock. I was not told of this and again my money had been taken. I then got a replacement sent out no problems but the replacement was half the price and I am still waiting for my refund. My order was placed on the 23rd November.”

Unfortunately, I do need to correct some of the details given here. You ordered from us late on a Thursday evening and we attempted to order this off site item from our supplier on the Monday. We then found this product had been discontinued by our supplier. You called us on the Monday morning just before we had opportunity to contact you. We explained the situation and offered you an alternative there and then, which you accepted. We then dispatched this replacement item on the Tuesday (once the stock had arrived with us from our supplier) and we refunded you that day for the difference in cost. N.B. All refunds take 3-5 working days for banks to process. I do feel this review judges us very harshly, considering that we made every attempt to resolve this for you and give you a product that was as close to the original as we could. Thank you for your recent review and we do understand how it must be frustrating, if the plant didn't reach you in the best possible condition. Looking at the order details; I can see that we shipped out your plant within 2 working days of you placing your order and that Royal Mail attempted delivery soon after and you weren’t available. The tracking information then shows the order was collected from South Kensington delivery office several days later. Unfortunately, I cannot find any record of you contacting us to report this problem, by email or phone. I have also made attempts to contact you by phone and email and there has been no response to either. If you'd like to discuss this matter further please reply to one of the emails we've sent you or call us on 01246 568390 and ask for Chris.

“They offered lots of helpful advice, purchasing and delivery was easy to organize and on time, the animal a Common Snapping Turtle is in excellent shape and very friendly given its species I have not been snapped at once and arrived with a heat pad before 12am it was actually before 9am they arrived so spot on!”

“Good delivery, great packaging, only criticism would be the size of the label stating that there were live animals. The courier was poor, roughly handled the box and nearly dropped the box down the stairs as he juggled it. I honestly don't think he knew what was in the box as he carried it upside to my flat.”
