The service, price & delivery from F & T were first rate. However the otherwise exellent Karrimor down jacket, was shedding down through the outer fabric

Quick delivery. Very light poles, but more fiddly to adjust (esp with gloves) than most walking poles. My main use intended to be as tarp poles, with occasional use for river crossings. Not tested yet so can't comment on performance.

Unfortunately the items received were undersized for the sizes stated. This has happened before with F&T items and it cost me over £12 to return them.

I would of given you 'very good' for arrival of goods and correspondence but the fact that I had to pay £11 to return my jacket which didn't fit correct will mean that I will not use you again. Sorry!

Reasonable service although I was unable to cancel my order prior to it being sent. The cost of returning the goods was prohibitive and please please don't send Sports Direct mugs - we don't want them. After sales service good.

I had to pay postage to buy the items and postage to return them. The items sent did not seem to be the sizes that they said on the packaging either too big or too small

? Simple enough to use . Fast enough service . ? didn't actually inform me of non availability of item. Just didn't send it. Discovered via credit card bill when I went to check payment ? Welly socks were modelled on someone with hugely underdeveloped calves as I cant get mine on and my calves are not developed or fat in any way

Service was good. Delivery was ok. Have to send item back as picture of product was different to product sent. Colour of zips on line are black, on their product the zips are bright blue.

I bought a gilet as a gift for my mother. It was supposed to be size 14 but it clearly was not. It would not zip up over the hips. Had to return it at a cost of about £3. Not happy! Bought a size 14 on the high street - fitted perfectly. Sizing needs to be correct for buying online. Will not be caught again. Ian

Not impressed with the courier- Yodel- or your customer serivce department. Yodel sent a text message saying that they had attempted a delivery, which they did not,(I was in all day) I contacted customer service by e mail and did not receive a reply!!

Ordering was quick and simple but when I picked pick up instore I was still being charged £3.99 so got items delivered to my door for same cost , items came within 3days as stated but had to return one item due to being to big for me and found this quite an ordeal first there was no invoice etc in parcel to tell me how to return the item had to go back on to website and find out you have to download returns label of site then fill it in then you have to pay to have the package returned which I found to be quite expensive so found this part of the service pretty poor . Have asked for item to be exchanged so will wait and see if being charge for it to be delivered .

Unfortunately the coat sent was tagged as medium but was in fact small (label in the collar said so...) no easy way to phone and query whether i could take to a store and exchange as i was going skiing in a weeks time. When i tried to re-order on line to save time they had sold out! so unfortunately i had to take my business else where and see if i can get a refund including packaging.

Disappointed with trousers and sizing. I already have 2 pairs from the same label and just needed a new pair. I ordered the same size that I already have but when they arrived they were too small

Ordered several items from Field and Trek.com. I ordered a thermal top in 2 different sizes and thermal leggings two each of two different sizes ie) 4 pairs of thermal leggings. Unfortunately one of the boxes contained a different size leggings to what was written on the box. This meant I had to PAY TO RETURN the item and reorder again. This seems to be because some stock is coming from Sportsdirect.co.uk and not from Field and Trek.com. Very disappointed.

Hello, each year I save my money for the January sale at F&T as the quality of the goods combined with the prices during the sale makes for excellent value. This year I did the same and although I am happy with most of what I got I did find several problems. I ordered a jacket marked XXXL however it turned out to be 2 sizes less than that, I was able to give it to a relative but its not like F&T to not check these things or only deal with companies who get it right. I also ordered a "Fleece Top" but to my surprise when it arrived it felt nothing like a soft fleece. It was made of some hard material which looked ugly but most importantly felt awful. Not sure if this is some cheaper imitation of Fleece but its not all all like you to offer such cheap rubbish (something I would expect on a local outdoor market stall) and it was sent back. I also ordered a long sleeve T Shirt with a deciduous woods camouflage pattern on it. Only to find it has a big shiny makers label on the chest! Now if you were selling stuff along side ordinary clothes this might be understandable but given that your customers are made up of people who Fish, birdwatch, hunt, ramble etc its not acceptable to offer such an impractical camo top. The whole idea is not to be seen in one of those things and then you choose to sell one with a fluorescent logo emblazoned across the chest. It also was sent back. Its not like me to need to send a total of 3 items back to you and I hope that you will be a bit more selective in your choice of goods to offer. You will never compete with cheap shops on price and the people who expect you to wouldn't come to your site. You have countless loyal customers who will keep returning to you whenever they need more outdoor gear but to maintain that loyalty please give more thought to the quality and practicality of the goods on offer. The only other point I could make is that in returning the goods I had to pay for the return despite the fact it was your inferior goods that made that necessary and then the paperwork told me I would be refunded the cost of my goods (not the return shipping costs) in 2 weeks. Now compare that service to Amazon. I would be asked the problem by email, if they saw it as there fault they would arrange for a free pickup from my door. and would refund my money in 2 days. It's a bit like with the banks, we all knew they were taking liberties a few decades back when they insisted on needing up to 10 working days to clear a cheque, It meant they could earn interest off our cash but we all tolerated it (with bad grace) because it was the same everywhere. Then some banks started offering quicker and quicker clearing times and those who did not change were left behind as angry customers felt more and more used. I don't expect you to be able to match a major company like Amazon but would suggest that customers will take their business elsewhere if they feel you are taking liberties. So can I suggest "we will refund you in 5 working days" and "if the return is caused by our side we will reimburse you for it within the same 5 days." Just some food for thought. Marcus
