“I received the wrong size order 4.5 as per the website size 4 came. No time to return needed them for my hoiday, so put up with the smaller size. Paid for next day delivery which was good”

“The price for these items was excellent and Field and Trek dispatched quickly with all items as ordered. However, unfortunately, they were let down be the appalling service provided by their delivery company Yodel. Yodel sent me an email late on the anticipated delivery day to say that they had tried to deliver, but I was out and they had left a card. The delivery address was an office with 24hr manned reception. They had lied to me. When I finally managed to contact Yodel (phone line is premium rate by the way) the lady tried to tell me it must have been the wrong address - no there is only one other building with this postcode - another office block; would not commit to delivery on the following day and would not admit any fault. Field and Trek, if you want my business again, I would strongly suggest that you choose another courier !! (Note that you would have got a very good rating if it hadn't been for Yodel).”

“Service was fine- but nowhere to leave instructions if out. When I pointed this out igot no answer. to create an account I was asked for my gender and date of.birth as compulsory fields. Neither should be necessary and I don't see it is any of your business. And very poor ecommerce procedure.”

“I believe I put in a different delivery address when ordering but it was delivered to my billing address. Luckily for me a neighbor was able to pick this up for me.”

“I bought some Gelert branded products at significant discount. When the products arrived they were in their original packaging and undamaged (NOT customer returns) Excellent value for money. So why not 5*? In a couple of words - the courier company they used for delivery. I was out when the courier called and as it later emerged the courier hid the package behind some bins BUT DID NOT put a card through the door. So a week later I go to put the bin out and find the package - £70 gear left outside for a week - really unimpressed. So 5* for F+T and 1* for the courier.”

“Returns policy not in line with similar high street stores hence poor score. You have to pay for returns and cannot drop into local store. Sizing of men's jackets and fleeces is bad - especially Gelert softshell stuff - pathetic is a better word to describe my latest purchase. Will not buy online from Field and Trek ever again.”

“The pair of walking shoes and socks that I bought are fine, but the ' free gift' that arrived unexpectedly with them was a Sports Direct mug with a broken handle. It was a horrible, far too big and enormously heavy thing anyway as well as broken so it went straight in the bin. No wonder the postage cost was expensive!”

“The colour and style of these hiking shoes are ideal. The price is very good but the only downside is that if you have wide feet these may not suit as they narrow and are slightly pointed rather than rounded at the toes”

“I don't feel that Yodel is a great delivery service. To say that the package is with the courier now is definitely comforting, but to say that delivery will be 'not later than tomorrow' is no help at all. I rarely can wait at home all day. DPD is much more helpful, accurate down to 15 mins. Yodel really needs to improve the forecasting to provide this level of customer service.”

“I ordered some stuff from Field and Trek - it was dispatched quickly and arrived promptly. Only way to improve service would be to stop sending random crap out with orders eg: mugs and magazines. I didn't order it, I don't want it and it's bad for the environment to drive rubbish around the place to be landfilled.”

“Fast Delivery Service and came as ordered. The men's jacket I bought looked good but described sizing was way out and it had to go back for exchange. I thought I would be borderline M or L based on their sizing description and what I wear from the likes of Marks and Debenhams. I decided to order L. It was far, far too small. Have sent it back for an XL - which I have never needed anywhere else ever! I slightly begrudge having to pay for the return postage giving how misleading their size description is, but not a huge deal, just poor service”

“The service from Field and Trek was excellent. The service from its couriers Yodel was abominable. They took three days to deliver, including on the first day driving off without delivering after phoning for directions (which I gave) from a few yards away, and on the second day not showing at all.”
