“First Tutors did all the hard work for me. They looked up tutors in my area and provided me with full details. When I made my choice they sent the communication details. Within a very short time I was speaking to my choice of tutor and arranging my first lesson. Great service from First Tutors.”

“Quick and easy to use. Bit annoying that when you select a tutor others are automatically rejected. Not helpful if you are looking for a second tutor if the selected tutor is time restricted.”

“A very professional website, easy to select possible tutors , good information of experience and skills. Almost immediately First Tutors contacted the tutors I had picked as possibilities.They in turn quickly responded with their availability, I chose one within two miles of my home and with a wide range of skill and success. I had my first hour of tuition with her the following morning.”

“Although we had only one session so far, I could easily recommend his lessons. I have received great materials, in which I am working on, and feel much more confident already. During the lessons he makes you feel comfortable to interrupt and ask any question you might have. Also, his methodology allows him to know where you are at, at some topic, in order to plan how progress can be made. In the last 5-10 minutes, he revised all important information covered in the lesson, which gives students the opportunity to ask last minute questions and organise in mind what was learned. Recommended!!”

“I did not find the site easy to use. When I asked for help I received a standard response. I feel you would have a higher success rate if there was a voice at the end of the phone to help when someone is struggling. You also did not make it clear what your commission/ fee's are? I was made to believe is was £4.99 but it was £24.99 I feel you are unable to justify the sort of commission if when I needed help you only sent me standardise email reply's. I would not recommend you as I feel you web site could be more user friendly”

The introduction fee per tutor is between £4.99- £24.99 and related to the price a tutor charges per hour. The process to acquire a tutor is outlined on our 'How to Find a Tutor' page (https://www.firsttutors.com/uk/how-to-find-a-tutor.php) if you need more help. Automated responses are there to help answer the most common questions, but we do acknowledge they can't solve every query.
