“I was looking for a local tutor to help my daughter with her GCSE maths . I found a lot of tutors to select from and it enabled me to choose one that would suit my daughter. The website is very easy to use and you are guided in each step, what to do next.”

“I would highly recommend Mike as a tutor. He is an excellent tutor, very professional and friendly. He explains everything clearly and makes it easy to understand. He helped me to prepare for my accounting exam and I really enjoyed my accounting grinds with him. Thank you for your help!”

“Good place to start finding out if there are tutors mear you but a majority of tutors have their own websites! This website charges an extortate amount for just listing tutors and making you pay closr £25 just for "introduction" fee of getting a tutors details. The fee you pay is a fee TO First Tutors, not the tutor for your first lesson. The website could be a lot clearer about this/ easier to understand this. But otherwise, the tutor i found was genuine and wonderful.”

Dear Debbie, Thank you for your feedback and we are delighted to hear that you found a suitable tutor. Please note that if you have problems with the tutor you can contact us to receive a replacement. The intro fee helps cover the cost of ID checks, reference collection, qualification verification, running of the website, staff etc. This gives peace of mind to our students and parents alike. We do have an advanced search tool that filters by fee, this means that for example if you can only afford 10 pounds per hour the intro fee will be a one off 4.99 only to pay First Tutors. “I chose First Tutors because I was able to carry out the matching process myself. The profiles give a clear indication of experience and qualifications and provide some information about a tutor's approach so I was able to choose a tutor who I thought would best suit my son. I like the fact that information about pricing and willingness to travel are in a standard format which makes it easy to make comparisons. It is also useful to see whether a tutor is teaching during the day and therefore has current knowledge of their subject. I was very pleased with the tutor that I contacted and would recommend First Tutors.”

“I can't believe how easy this was, very fast reply by both tutors I sent messages too. The site is easy to use and offers great options on tutors your looking for. I can't wait to start, and will be using site if any other tutors needed. The cost upfront is good as you can find one to fit your own budget. Great really takes the worry away.”
