“This site is really good to find a tutor”

“I think the service is really good, and the tutors are good. However I had an issue with one tutor called Emma Smith, as we would arrange for a session however she would end up cancelling and would not inform me in advance or try to re arrange. She has done this plenty of times and when I explained that it was urgent and such short notice to find another tutor as I had an exam in a couple of days, she replied by saying she is busy and that I should go find another tutor. This has made me extremely upset and made me loose faith in your company, however I decided to get it another go and paid again for another tutor which I thought was a waste of money. However the tutor her name is Ehsaneh and she was extremely reliable and helpful. My concern is that you are getting professional and reliable tutors and this will bring your reputation down. Please make sure the tutors agree to the dates and stick to it otherwise next time no one will want to pay to get a tutors contact details. Thank you,”

“Really easy system to use, clear choice when you enter your search areas and good system with reminders. Have used First Tutors on more than on occasion (separate subjects) and have recommend them to others.”

“From initial contact via phone our daughter clicked with Muhammad. He is very punctual with his timings. We have found Muhammad to use various techniques to explain and make difficult topics understandable. Wish we had found him sooner. He knows the syllabus very well. We highly recommend him to any parent looking for a qualified science tutor. Our daughter finishes the lesson on a high note and looks forward to the next lesson.”

“Your website was quite easy to use, but you did not clearly explain who you were; by what criteria you choose your tutors nor the payment system up front. It is always annoying to discover later on that you have to pay "to get an address". I was also unimpressed that when I gave you feedback about some of the English used, you did not say you would look into it, you handed it back to me to raise with my tutor, which did not feel as if you accepted any responsibility for your site.”

Dear Sue, Thank you for your feedback. I will ensure this is passed on to our developers to see if information regarding our fees can be made clearer on the site. The fee you pay does help cover the cost of identity and reference checking on all of our tutors which gives many of our users peace of mind. With regard to your concerns, I can see that my colleague responded to your query regarding the grammar used on your tutors profile. All of our tutors are self-employed and are therefore responsible for their own profiles.
