“It is a good way of finding a tutor, but if one doesn't work out you have to pay again to release other tutor details, so can become very expensive of first choice does not work out.”

“The information on tutors is good making it easy to pick a few for communication and decision. However the website system to release contact details is odd, not intuitive. Needs more thought. Over all a good experience, would recommend.”

“The premise is good and I found a lovely tutor very quickly who perfectly suited our needs. However the site is awful and needs completely rewriting. The interface is not intuitive or helpful. Once you've selected your tutor you lose contact details immediately unless you repay so you need to ensure that you've got contact details immediately you chose them and get a conversation going between you OUTSIDE the site. Great idea - poorly implemented.”

“The only thing that let you down was that the contact details you gave me for Laura were out of date by 2 years. When we turned up to the given address we were told she had moved two years ago. We were therefore late to our first tutoring session. Laura had said she had updated you so why had you not updated your system? Not happy.”

“First Tutors was a really useful website. I was on a gap year but wanting to take a few more exams (A level and Grade 5 Music Theory). I found two brilliant tutors near to me through this website. It was easy to use and I did not have to commit until I was satisfied that the tutors were right for me. I do not know how I would have gone about finding the right tutor so easily without the help of the First Tutor website.”
