“First tutors helped me to find Tutor for tuition.Within last few months this is the third tutor and each time I had to pay fees.I think that is a bit too much.You should keep the one off fee for at least one year.Because changing tutor is not our fault.You should take this into consideration please.thanks”

“Excellent way to find appropriate tutors. My only criticism is that when I hadnt heard back from one tutor for some reason I got locked into a loop whereby lots of tutors were contacting me and I couldnt stop without rejecting them for being inappropriate whereas I didnt need any of them to contact me anyway as I had selected the first tutor contacted.”

“I think that the tutors should be made to update their details/profiles on a move regular basis, e.g if they are no longer in a school teaching as stated on their profile they should be require to update this information. I found this an issue when looking for a tutor on your site and had to ask individuals yes or no are you still teaching in a school. This was important to my final decision firstly due to safety regarding disclosure and child protection also the introduction of the new G.C.S.E.'s syllabus. A simple no from a tutor would also have be helpful if they are not interested in your request as I delayed hiring awaiting replies that never came.”

“As a parent, I have used first tutors before. They have been supportive to us when required and we have found it helpful to briefly dialogue with the potential tutor before engagement. The range of tutors and different backgrounds is also useful.”

“This is a really useful site. It's so hard to find a tutor, so to have somewhere you can search for one is great. The site is very easy to use. You can narrow your search down by subject and location. What I really like is being able to see the reviews left by other people, to help you make the right decision. I also like that you can contact tutors first and have that initial conversation before paying to release full contact details. I will definitely be recommending this site to my friends.”
